Land of Mohinians(Shiv Sati deewanis') CT

It was a blissful morning in Mount Kailash. There was a cool breeze blowing and Sati had just come from Mansoravar having finished her bath. She was in the process of drying her long lusturous locks which was blowing in the wind. In order to comb her hair she had to pass her Lord Shiva who was in mediation.
She thought of her Lord which instantly bought a smile to her face. She was still in a trance that she had got married to the LORD of the LORDS. She could not
believe her luck. She kept smiling. Lord Shiva on the other hand was trying his best to mediated but thoughts of Sati kept disturbing him as well. Sati decided
to go and get dressed for her Lord. She passed him silently but paused to take him in. The Lord had his eyes closed but Sati wanted him to open his eyes and
see her. The Lord however did not need to do that. His mind's eye was open and was taking in the beauty of his wife. He could also read her thoughts. You look
beautiful my love he thought. I don't to keep my eyes open you are forever imprinted in my mind. Dissapointed that her husband did not see her Sati went to get dressed. She tied her loosely as they were still wet. She wore her favourite red and white saree which was the Lord's favourite too. And bangles as well as
payals. She had lots of Payals but chose the ones that would make the most noise. She first had to do pooja. and in order to do that she needed flowers and bhel patra.


Sati picked up a basket and set about her task of collecting flowers in the garden of Kailash. There were plently of flowers as Lord Shiva loved them. She collocted all kinds of flowers. And was returning when her eyes fell upon a beautiful rose blooming behind her husband. It was a lilac rose and Sati decided to put in her hair. Now the easiest way to reach the rose was going around her husband and reaching out and plucking it. Sati reached up but could not touch it. It seemed that the rose had a mind of its own. Each time she tried to pluck it the rose moved away from her. After a lot of effort Sati managed to touch it. But before she could pluck it she needed more height. And in order to do that she had to hold on to something. What should I do she thought? The answer was right in front of her. But how can I distrub the Lord. Lord Shiva however was already distrubed the presence of his wife had put an end to his mediation and her perfume was driving him crazy. Sati what are you doing. And why must you choose this hour to be hear. He wanted to sound angry but his thoughts were fillled with love and he also smiled to himself. When Sati turned around and saw him he was careful to compose himself together. Sati had deciede to go for the rose. She gingerly put her long slender hand on her husband shoulder and climbed up and managed to pluck the rose. Now no one in their right mind would ever attempt to touch the Lord like this. But the Lord smiled to himself as since morning he had been wanting for this to happen. But then the inevitable happened Sati slipped and fell in her husband's lap. She was shocked and afraid that her husband would get angry. But when Lord Shiva opened his eyes all Sati saw was an outpouring of love in them. She tried to get up but he would not let her do that. It seemed to Sati that Lord Shiva was determined as well.

I am so sorry Sati began to say

Sorry for what my love

I did not mean for this to happen

It was not in your hands and I wanted it like this

What asked Sati shyly

I forsaw this happening and I was happy about it

Really

Yes and anyways I need to spend time with my beautiful wife

What about Nandi and the ganprets

I sent them out of Kailash

This morning when I saw the look on your face. You were quite annoyed that you never got the chance to be alone with me.

Yes but it is not your fault. We got married and Kailash has been full with visitors. Not that I mind but I wanted to be alone with my husband and I am happy that my husband has done what I dreamt about.

But how did you know what I was thinking

Sati I read your mind and thoughts

Yes and I can also hear you feel you coming even before you know it. You live inside me and I live inside you we are one. And I nvever want tyou to forget that.

Swami please let me go I have to cook lunch

Ok she knew it was useless fighting against it

Happy Mahadev let her go and Sati quickly set about cooking. Soon she was about to call Mahadev when he arrived and helped her carry the food. They had a quiet lunch together which they fed each other. Neither talked but words were not needed. After lunch Sati made sure that there was enough food for Nandi and the gan prets. Then Mahadev and Sati retired to a private part of Kailash that not even Nandi was allowed to enter. Even Nagdevta asked permission to leave them alone. They were spending a romantic time alone together after what seemed likes eons to Sati. Mahdev untied her hair and let it loose and held her face tenderly in his arms and was about to remove her earings when one of the gan prets suddenly burst upon them. Seeing him Mahadev got angry and shouted Nandi. The ganpret began to tremble as his Prabhu was furious. Sensing his fear Sati decided to calm down her husband. She caught hold of his hand and held on to it with all her might as Mahadev was much stronger than her. But seeing it did not help she moved back a little a placed her other hand on his shoulder began to rub it lightly as well as raining a few kissess. But Sati was careful not to let the gan pret see what she was doing. This calmed Mahadev down who began to smile a little as well . He turned to Sati and both had a eyelock.. Right at that moment Nandi came ruuning and before his Prabhu said anything shouted at the ganpret and dragged him away.

Seeing Nandi go away and leaving them in peace Mahadev turned to SAti and said

Do you know what you were doing my love

Yes Swami

I was just calming you down

By kissing me

Yes

And it worked

What if the ganpret saw it

But he didn't and besides you are my husband.

Mahadev knew that Sati would not listen to any reason from him .Sati walked away from her husband she was dissapointed that this romantic moment of theirs was ruined and there was nothing that she could have done about it.

She sat down under a tree within minutes it began to rain flowers on her . She was overjoyed and delighted and shouted with happiness. Seeing her like thisbought the biggest smile to Mahadev's face she ran towards him and hugged him tightly. She wanted to know the reason for this and Mahadev said that the flowers are pleased to see you. They are pleased that you chose to sit under this tree and choose them as your shade.

They know me of course you and I created this whole thing and they want you to know that they share your joy with you.

This bought the biggest smile to Sati's face as well as a tinge of jealousy as she did not want anything besides her touching her Mahadev but she also knew that he belonged to the world as well and not only her.

The next day Mahadev had to leave unexpectedly as one of his bhakts had been caliing him for years and the time had come for Mahadev to giv ehim a darshan. He sat Sati down and told her that he will be back soon and asked Nandi to look after Sati on his behalf. Nandi assured Mahadev that he need mot worry and not will happen to his Mata. Sati assured Mahadev that with my son is with me. Mahadev promised to return soon. Within an hour Mahadev was back and the sight that greeted him astounded him to no less. There was a carpet of flowers ardoning the grounds of Kaliash. and those flowers were begging for Mahadev's feet to touch them. He obliged and walked on them.

Sati he callled out

Sati Sati. There was no answer. The one face that he wanted to see upon his return home was not there to greet him. He closed his eyes and saw his beautiful wife with Mahalaskhmi and Devi Saraswati. Both of them were adorning Mahadev and Sati's marital bed.

Narayan thought Mahdev

Mahadev came the answer

Mahadev turned and saw Mahavishnu they both greeted each other.

Narayan is there anything that you and Mahalaskmi will not to do for Sati

Mahadev Sati is my sister and as her brother I will see to it that she is happy for ever. And I could not be more pleased to have you as my brother in law Mahadev. You are the best husband that she choose.

But Narayan Sati was born and raised in palace she is used to comforts all round her.

Mahadev Sati made a decision to become your wife when she fell in love with and I fully supported her. And look at you she changed you froma a varigai to family man. If I am not mistaken wasn't it Sati's love that made you live like a human for 6 months.

Wasn't it her love that dragged you to be with her when you realised that she was not happy

You made sure that she got the smile back on her face and since then you have made her come alive.

Mahadev you are the centre of the universe for Sati

You are her life without each other the two of you are nothing

You both breathe life into one another and if one of you is sad the other is sad as well. If this is not love then what else is love

But Narayan how can I make sure that

I don't know anything about love

Mahadev there is nothing in the world that you don't know said Narayan smiling.

Just then Mahalakshmi walked in on them and greeted Mahadev

Mahadev your wife is waiting for you and you are here talking to my husband.

Oh Sati is waitng said Narayan then Mahadev it is time to take my leave

Saying that Mahavishunu and Mahalaskhmi left him

Mahadev walked slowly to their private quarters where he saw Sati waiting for him on their bed. He put his trishul dowm and hugged his wife who was more than pleased to see her husband and they spent a blissful night together. Mahavishnu saw to it that the night belonged to Mahadev and Sati only and stopped anyone who wanted to distrub their marital bliss. Mahadev and Sati spent a lot of time togther sometimes lost in one other . The whole word revolved around them and this time Mahadev made sure that nothing came in between to spoil their happiness even though he knew what lay in wait for her. Right now all he wanted was to shower all his love on his wife.

.You live within me

The early morning sun was beating down heavily on Mount Kailash. Sati and Mahadev were still coconed in their private pradise. Sati got up as the birds were chirping loudly as if to say Good Morning to her. She opened and shut her eyes. And saw that one of the birds was a tiny fledgling who had just learnt to fly and it had lost its way. she smiled at it. It saw the waterfall and wanted to have a bath. So it dived into the pool and came out with heavily laden wings. She was still happy. But closed her eyes again it seemed that she never wanted to leave and the reason was slepping beside her. She turned around and saw her handsome husband who was smilingin his sleep. She got up and fell down again. Sati realised that something was holding her down and realised that Mahadev had his arm tightly wrapped around her waist. She gently removed his arm and put it to his side. And got up again. But this time her hair got entagled in his fingers. She untiwned her hair and got up. Again it happened she fell dowm with a thud but this time landed on her husband's chest. He kept smiling. Sati realised this was his doing.

Mahadev she wisperd gently into his ears

When Sati said Shiv his eyes opened slowly and took in his beatuiful wife
Yes my love

Sati I am not doing anything
Shiv please we have guests coming to Kailash
Oh them said Mahadev pinning his wife dowm ever closer to him Nandi will take care of them.

Nandi was going nuts the guests had stated to arrive and he was feeling flustered and didin't know what to do. If Mata were here with him she would calm him down but since she had not put in an apperance since morning he was feeling left out.

Sati had a hard time leaving the marital bed as Mahadev refused to listen to amything she had to say. Finally she left but as she was about to leave their quarters she heard voices coming from outside. The guests had arrived and there was no way she was going to make it to mansoravar dressed like this. There was only one thing she could have and that was to have a bath in the waterfall. She did that . Mahadev on the other hand made it to Manasoravar . It was easy for him within a blink of an eye he reached there and was back before you knew it. By that time Sati was out of the waterfall and was looking for her clothes and jewellery. She had left them right beside the bed and was busy searching for them. Mahadev took one look at Sati and was mesmerised by what he saw. Her hair was dripping wet and they were falling like diamonds on her right shoulder which was bare. Without even turning around Sati knew her husband had come.

Shiv she called out.
Yeshe acknowledged her but refused to turn around.
She knew the effect she was having on him. Which colour saree do you want me to wear. He pointed at a pink saree.
Allright she said
And jewellery I can't seem to find them
He held out his hand and produced jewellery for his wife and gave it to her
Mahadev was about to leave when Sati called out again.Shiv Please help me tie this necklace
Sati you are not dressed properly I''ll be back in 5 mins to help you
Shiv if you leave without helping me to dress I will follow you like this
Sati please

Seeing Mahadev leave their room Sati decided to follow him. Suddenly she felt his beautiful arms around her gently pulling her back into him. My love if you think that I am going to let you walk out of here looking like that you are wrong. This sight is for me to behold and no one else. She turned around and looked up at her husband with love he looked downand pretty soon time stood still. The birds stopped chirping and retired to their nest . The waterfall stopped as if by magic. Suryadev hid himslef behind a could. This was a sight that noone had any right to witness. Soon Mahadev and Sati were agian lost in their own world. Outside a commotion was taking place. But Sati and Shiv couldn't care less. She wrapped her arms around his neck and refused to let him go.

Indra was one of the first to arrive and he was dissapointed that Mahadev was no where near to be seen. Nandi assured him that Mahadev was home but he had not yet come out.
Nandi why don't you go and ask Mahadev to come out.
Indra dev I can't do that and neither can anyone on Kailash. None of us is that brave to intrude upon Prabhu or Mata. Prabhu will come when he wants to.

But I have been wating since morning to have a drashan.
And Mata Sati began Indra she is not letting him go. His tone was different.
Indra came a loud booming voice.
He turned around and saw Mahavishnu who was not to pleased with his behaviour.
I suggest you stop whatever you were about to say about Sati
I wasn't saying anything bad prabhu
Really Mahavishnu. went on. Then please enlighten me.
I was only saying that nowdays Mahadev is always with Mata Sati she never lets go of him.
Would you rather he spent all his time with you Indra
No came the reply
Indra for the first and last time Mahadev and Sati are celebrating their reunion and if they want to spend time together why are you so bothered about it
Prabhu you have got me all wrong. I was talking to Nagrag just before you arrived and he said that nowdays he is spending a lot of time away from Prabhu and I was just trying to get accross this point.

Nagraj called out Mahavishu.
Did you say anything like this.
No Prabhu I did not
I was just saying that after a long I finally have some time to myself and I don't know what to do with it.

Back at their quarters Mahadev and Sati were snuggled up close together and she was stroking his bare chest and neck.
Sati began
Shiv after a long time I see your neck bare
I thought you liked it like this or should I call Nagrag.
No one is to come between my husband and me
Shiv smiled he loved it when Sati became possessive as he was too.

My love don't you think that we should make an appearance.
Must we said Shiv
Yes this was your idea my love to have a gathering in Kailash.
Actually this is your brother's idea he wanted to celebrate our reunion and I agreed.

Well in that case we must get ready. But promise me that you will not drink too much.
I promise.
Sati do you remember that dance we did at you father's palace
Yes
Why don't we dance again a different verison this time
What she blushed at once. She knew what dance he meant that was to be done in private only.
No she said
Sati Mahadev understood her I was not saying now in front of everyone how about later

When everyone leaves and we are the only ones here
Ok she loved dancing with her Shiv

Back outside Indra was getting it from all sides. This time Brahma dev and devi Saraswati took over and began to shout at him.
Indra this is outrageous you cannot say things like this.
Have you forgoten that Mahadev and Sati have been seperated for centuries and when they finally get married instead of being happy you are accusing my granddaughter of stealing Mahadev from you.
Have you no shame.

Mahadev and Sati are entiled to spend as much as they want together. And if you know what is best for you will keep quiet.
Have you forgotten the amount of time the Tridev have to get you out of the mess you keep creating after everything we do this is what you give us in retrun.

Indra it is time you leave. Just then Mahadev and Sati make an apperance. Nagraj was pleased and assumed his positon around his neck. He was happy to back around the Lord's neck. Indra meanwhile was wondering if Mahadev knew anything about his behaviour.

Indra called out Mahadev. Indra turned around but wished he hadn't as Mahadev face was one of anger. Indra began to regret everything he said.

Mahadev anger knew no bounds and he was grapsing onto his trishul so tightly that his fingers became red. Sati knew she had to do something. And so did Mahadev. He held out his hand for his wife to hold and she obliged him by wrapping her fingers around his. But still Mahadev was angry. Sati began to tremble. Mahadev knew he had to calm his wife down. He let go of the trishul and hugged his wife right there in front of everyone. This was the first time that Mahadev had let his guard down and let the whole world know that Sati is the centre of his universe. The 4 people who were most pleased at this sight were ofcourse Mahavishnu. Mahalaksahmi Brahma dev and Devi Saraswati

Slowly Mahadev let go of Sati and continued Indra how can you consider yourself equal to my wife. You should realise by now that Sati will be always first for me. I will always be with Sati. She is my ardhangani my soulmate and to think that you come before her is a mistake.
Prabhu I am sorry and I will leave now.

Sati was annoyed and upset and Indra and both Mahadev and Mahavishnu pacificed her. How about we forget about the whole thing and start what we were planning to do since morning.
Mahadev do I have your permisson.
Yes
And Sati do I have yours.

Sati was blushing from head to toe. She did not have the guts to look Mahavishnu in the eye. The mention of the word morning got her thinking about the hours she spent with her husband. She was beetroot red. Mahavishnu laughed at his sister's behaviour. You know if you don't want anyone to know I would stop smiling like that. She looked up at her brother. And then her husband who was equally feeling shy but was not showing it unlike Sati.

Mahadev came over and said
Sati is there something you want to say to me
Nothing
Sach well your eyes tell me a different story
Stop looking at my eyes then swami
What you rather I look at
Me of course
I thought you didn't want to me look at you
I do but not with that love filled look Mahadev

Sati why don't you and I disappear for a little while mahadev asked.
Swami we can't be doing this. What will the devi and devtas think swami.

Sati they know that we are besotted with each other and we just got married so I am sure that they will understand that we need to spend time together.

What Mahadev wants Mahadev gets. And before Sati knew what was happening Mahadev wisked her away to a place where no one could find them at least not for the time being.

Where are we Swami they were on the top most peak of the most scheduled mountain in Kailash. Only Mahavishu and Mahadev knew about this place and no one else. Sati this is going to be the place where you and I will be spending our time now.

But what about your Devotees Swami

No one is calling me because they know that I am preoccupied with you.

Sati Sati come here he held out his arms and she flew into them.

Sati my love we came here because this is the one place apart from Kailash where I am at peace with myself and I want to share it with you. Sati never knew that her Shiv was such a romantic person at heart and she was just overjoyed at lapping up all the attention and love from him. Infact she did not want it to end forever. Sati and Shiv spent many romantic moments and nights enjoying themselves with each other. Whenever Mahvishnu wanted to meet him Mahadev agreed to the meeting. Sati did not mind the intrusion by her brother infact she looked forward to seeing him arrive as he always bought news of Kailash and Nandi. Mahavishu was taking care of Kailash on their behalf. He might not be there in person but he helped a lot. When it was time for Mahadev and Sati to return to Kailash Sati did so with a heavy heart. She would never get any time like this to be with her husband. Mahadev assured her that whenever she wanted to come up here all she had to do was to say the word and he would drop anything to make her wish come true. Back in Kailash word of their arrival came forth and prepartions were made to welcome them into Kailash again. Mahalaskhmi did the aarti and soon after everyone left. Mahadev went to do his dhyan which was not easy as his concentration was all on Sati and the days and nights they spent together. Sati was cooking for the entire family. She asked Nandi to call everyone but personally went to call Mahadev. Everyone ate dinner in silence and no one said a word but Sati knew what had happened. The food had burnt but yet everyone was eating it. Sorry she said.

Sati nothing happened and it is not your fault. But the food is burnt swami.

Sati Sati calm down. He talked telepahatly to his wife I know what your were thinking about as I had the same thoughts. They both smiled at each other. Nandi and the ganprets asked permission to leave and Mahadev acknowledged them. Soon it was time for Sati to retire as well. Sati took leave of Mahadev and went to sleep. Mahadev arrived shortly after and saw Sati asleep on their bed he sat beside and gently stroked not believing that his soulmate was here with him after such a long time.
