Hello!

A Butterfly On A Wheel happens to be my most ambitious story yet. This story is based on four areas of my interest - The human mind, murder mysteries, mythology and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Please add V323PMs account for PMs.

Do not ask me to add you, I don't remember the names. Add me, and I shall PM you. Also - PMs to people who comment only. Simply because PMing is a back breaking thing :)

The time you take out to read this story is much appreciated. Please press like button, if you liked the update. Constructive criticism is also very welcome. I shall try to incorporate all your suggestions in the story, however, no promises.

Note - I edited out a certain part of the prologue. Now, instead of Jesus Christ being crucified, it is the scene of Hades and Persephone - enacting out the rape of Persephone.

Prologue - Mirage

The shadows on the wall stir as the candlelight flickers. In the middle of the room, an old couch rests solidly. Its springs pool out of the faded green cloth. There is a depression in the middle of the couch. The table next to the couch rests on three legs. Its surface is marred with long, ugly scars. Bits and pieces of strewn of roughly cut hair lie scattered around the table. A thin film of dust covers the floor. The air is heavy with secrets.

The candle throws a sharp relief on the wall. The most dominant feature here is a picture of Hades and Persephone - enacting out the rape of Persephone. The stick of charcoal lies carelessly on the open palm of the woman, who lies on the ground.

"Dimitte" (Forgive) she whispers. Her cheek rests on His feet. The lone tear spills drips down her nose and onto the musty floor. "Domine, quia peccavi ignosce" (Forgive me lord, for I have sinned)

She stands up tiredly and walks forward. Hers is a gait of someone who knows they are going to die. Nearing the table she stops for a moment lay a finger on her hair, lying on the table. She closes her eyes. She walks one step forward, and drops down dead.

Many kilometres away, Arnav Singh Raizada wakes up with a start.

Oooh Vee !!! That was such an intriguing start ... You got me hooked on the prologue itself ...
