Khushi looking for an excuse to avoid Arnav's killer eyes and smile so as to keep her poor heart safe was expected… a laughable attempt as her heart succumbed to his allure a long time back! Poor Munshiji would have a heart attack. His radio played, Jhoot Bole Kauwwa Kaate… just hilarious! NK clarified, not knowing how close he had been to swallowing his broken teeth… must be the understatement of the century! Arnav's jealousy is legendary, especially when he already thinks that watching Khushi dress or undress is his sole prerogative! Just loved Khushi admonishing Devi Maiyya as if the latter were a disobedient kid… Here I am burning like the lamp lit in front of you… a wonderful image of Khushi having the hots for Arnav! Or Buaji would fry her instead of pooris that evening! Where do you come up with such imagery?! Arnav's anxiety was touching, whereas Khushi's asides had me in splits… poor thing sounded so put upon! Arnav must have had a field day kissing her as he enumerated the things he was grateful for… he really gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'chance pe dance'! "When will you marry me?" now that is the question, isn't it! I am in constant awe of the aptness of the similes you use, or even create: the pulse in her throat beating madly like the wings of a bird in captivity.
Arnav's gift of his mom's beautiful antique bangles [pictured in the photo] was a very moving moment, especially given the words that accompanied them… clearly showed how much Arnav had come to understand and value Khushi's selflessness, to the extent that he no longer holds back from voicing what's in his heart! It's nice to see Arnav being able to speak about his parents, especially his mom so openly without a hint of pain, just nostalgia… a truly emotional recollection of a mom's love for her son and dreams for his future. Just love the fascinating contradiction that Khushi is: she runs away from Arnav, not being able to cope with his passion and her own desire, but the moment he's emotionally vulnerable, she's there to soothe him and keep him safe in her embrace! Buaji's words breaking into that moment was hilarious: "What jaadu has Munshiji done on you that your jaan is stuck to him? Or has he put fevicol on your chair?" She doesn't realise that Khushi's jaan is stuck to Arnavji, not Munshiji! Poor NK, even if he hadn't had chubby cheeks, all Buaji's pulling of them would ensure that this was taken care of! Arnav's loving, yet naughty, ministrations during the mehendi applying were sweet… no wonder that mehendi lady was envious as, I am sure, are scores of your readers!
Anjali, Nani and the ever-incorrigible Mami teasing Arnav, and then Khushi, was cute… and Mami's songs were spot on! An aura of peace and happiness permeated the whole storeroom scene as Khushi browsed through the albums and then was presented by all those gifts Arnav's mom had collected for her daughter-in-law… it was pleasing to see Arnav openly reiterate his love for Khushi every chance he gets! He took out the pair of stone-studded sandals. Khushi gasped, "They are so beautiful!" Arnav lifted her feet onto his lap, and eased the sandals on to her feet. They were a perfect fit… a true Cinderella moment! Khuahi's finally got her Prince Charming, flawed but still devastating! What did he have to do to get some time alone with Khushi in this house? A thoroughly frustrated Arnav is a treat to watch! Did a happy jig after reading these amazing concluding lines: Arnav walked up to Khushi, pulled her into his arms, gave her a bone-crushing hug, and kissed her cheek. "I will see you tomorrow," he whispered in her ear… Arnav's bold moves are such a contrast to Akash's timid overtures to Payal… can understand Mami's disappointment! Would have loved to witness the looks on the faces of the Guptas and the Raizadas, seeing Khushi in Arnav's arms and his lips on her cheek!
