And sorry for jumping to conclusions about Shyam earlier...
This Shyam-Anjali sound promising... I wonder if Anjali's reserve towards Shyam stemmed from affections...
And I just love the magic you weave with your play of words... It's wonderful. You keep it simple and endearing and enjoyable 😊 ... At this rate, I'm gonna run out of my stock for praises...
And now *bites nails* What's Khushi gonna say? *prays to Devi Maiyya*

Wowie! What a great update! Guess Shyam did not turn into the creep I was expecting and I kinda like that. Your characters are so real - good and bad equally mixed in - one can't help but like them all and yes I am including Buaji in this as well as I can relate to what went on in her head after coming from a small community on a tiny island. Log kya kahein gay (no sure of the spelling) is a big thing! My parents are very traditional as well and seeing me kiss a man without being his fiance or wife will be a big deal even if I don't feel the same so I can relate to what Kushi and her family felt.

I love how honest they were with each other. Incorporating the Majnu line "mein Hamesha, Hamesha . . . . " was pure genius on your part. This is probably why you are one of my favorite writers on the forum, because you bring a little of the show back in your storyline and we get this flashback of the show. I so miss this show and hope there is a part 2. One can always dream . . .loved how they cannot resist the passion. I love how he had the blank expression when she was trying to decide, it felt like was letting her do this on her own as he had already said his piece. The ball is in her corner and she has to decide where she goes with it now. Tough decision as she owes a lot to the parents who adopted her and yet the man who cannot promise her more than passion and a sense of being herself may represent her future. I am glad she told him what her dreams were as far as a relationship is concerned and he told her why he felt the way he does about marriage. They can both understand the impasse and hopefully overcome it. Maybe her absence will make him think with his heart and he may make the choice that will help them move forward just like our Arnav in the show who was not only ready to remarry her but went further by learning more about each ritual. I so feel for Anjali and Shyam, please make them get together before this story ends. I also feel sad as I am sensing that this one is coming to the end soon.

Lastly, you should not feel bad when you update. The readers can be patient. You are in charge of the story and you are doing this in your free time, so everyone should chill and wait for when you can update no matter how hooked on we are on the story. You are probably one of the few who updates regularly (more than once a week) and this is fantastic. You are doing a fantastic job, keep it up!
