Chapter 8

Meri Jaan….

The curtains were fluttering, because of the wind. The rays of the sun, were trying to get inside her room through the window. The soft wind caressing her body. There she was, sleeping with a sweet smile. She was happy. She had to be, after all her Swayam was back. She woke up, with the sound of her cell phone ringing. She took the cell, and saw the caller id. It was him. She in a jiffy picked up the call…

Sh: hey..

Sw: hey, good morning!

Sh: good morning..

Sw: just called to inform you that, I am coming to pick you up in half an hour.

Sh: um… okay… see you then…

Sw: bye, see you…

She rushed to her bathroom, to get ready. She came out wearing, a blue knee length sun dress. She was looking beautiful, today she did not need to put blush on her face as her face was already red, and her MAN was back. She had her breakfast, and was waiting for swayam. Just then the doorbell rang. She rushed to open the door. She opened the door, but she was shocked to see a BIG bouquet. She was surprised. He removed the bouquet in front of his face. And with a huge smile he said,

Sw: like what you see?

Sh: totally…

He handed the bouquet to her, and

Sw: can I come in?

Sh: sure..

They both go inside the house, and

Sh: thanks for the flowers, they are beautiful…

Sw: not more than you…

Sh: thanks…

Sw: by the way, did I tell you that you look really beautiful in blue?

Sh: I guess not!

Sw: hm.. so let me tell you, you look absolutely like an angel in blue…

Sharon blushed at his comment. He holded her hand, in his, and was looking intensely in her eyes, and said

Sw: you know how much I missed to see you blush in these 2 days?

Sh: I miss you too…

Swayam forwarded his hand, and she gave her hand in his, and swayam said,

Sw: lets go?

Sh: okay…

Both of them hand n hand, went and Sharon sat in the passenger seat and swayam in the driver's seat, and left for the college. They both reached the college, hand in hand they walked in the canteen, and what they saw shocked them. The gang was fighting over something. It was a boys v/s girls fight. Boys were standing on one side, and the girls were standing on the other and were fighting over something. Sharon and swayam looked at each other confused, and swayam went and stood beside the guys, and sharon with the girls.

Sw: guys, guys, guys… kya ho raha hai?

Sh: ya, guys lad kyu rahe ho?

Taani: yeh sab in boys ki galti hai..

Rey: oh really, fight to tum ladkiyone shuru ki hai..

Sim: oh please…. Tum ladko se toh baat karna hi bekar hai…

Nil: toh karte kyu ho…

Rin: just shut up…

Bharat: gaali deti hai… ruk tu…

Swayam stopped bharat, and asked..

Sw: guys hume koi batayega ki yeh fight kyu ho rahi hai?

Rey: dekh, aaj saare teachers ki kuch workshop hai, so aaj koi lectures nahi honge, okay..

Taani: toh hum log decide kar rahe the ki kya kare aaj…toh hum girls ne kaha ki

Nil & vi: Shopping…

Sw: what?

Sh: haa toh kya hua? Shopping is fun…

Sw: oh, please tum girls ke itye its fun, not for us boys, its boring…

Sh: no its not..

Sw: yes it is…

Sh: no

Sw: yes…

Sh: I said no, means no…

Sw: I also said yes, means yes….

Sh: tum boys ke saath baat karna hi bekar hai…

Sw: hume bhi tum ladkiyon se baat karne mein koi khaas maza nahi aata…

Sh: fine!!

Sw: fine!!! Then…

Sh: hum girls mere ghar pe night out karenge, without you guys…

Sw: toh, hum bhi mere ghar penlight out karenge… kyu boys?

Boys: oh yes!!

Sh: girl's chale…

Girls: haa chalo..

Sharon goes, and the girls follow her, but sharon comes back and says to swayam,

Sh: and one more thing,

Sw: what?

Sh: you guys, won't be missed…*with a extra sweet plastic smile*

Sw: the feeling is mutual…

Sharon smiles at him with attitude, and goes…

Sw: chale mere ghar?

Boys: chal…

Swayam's place:

The boys, were playing, video games. X-box I suppose. They were enjoying. Having the boy talk. Playing. Bitching about girls. Talking about the hottest girl they saw. And what not.

Rey: this is pure bliss..

Vi: seriously…

Nil: nahi toh yeh ladkiya hume shopping pe le jaati…

Amar: yeh shopping kitnli boling hai…

Bh: ha, yaar par yeh baat ladkiyo ko kon samjaye!

Sw: oh yes, I won….

Rey: not fair dude, kabhi to mujhe jeetne deta….

Sw: oh, I am sorry rey :P

Sharon's Place:

Here the girls were no less. They had just returned from shopping, an hour back, and were too enjoying themselves. They were painting their nails, gossiping about other girls. Talking about guys. And bitching about their guys.

Taani: girls time, its so much fun!

Sh: I know,

Ne: yeh boys, are just not worth us..

Sim: totally man…

Rin: inse kuch kehna hi nai chahiye…they are stupid….

Sh: for the first time, rinni you are right!

The girls were just having fun, chatting, gossiping, cooking even, when a phone call disturbed them. It was sharon's phone. She saw it and the caller id was rey. She smirked and showed the phone to the other girls.

Taani: I bet, sorry bolne ke liye call kiya hoga…

Sh: lets have some fun!!

And the girls smirked, and Sharon put the call on speaker. And she said..

Sh: agar sorry kehna ke liye phone kiya hai, toh sorry maafi nahi milegi….

Rey: shar----

Rey sounded tensed…

Sh: kya hua rey, you sound tensed…

Rey: shar, wo swayam----

Sh: kya hua swayam ko?

Rey: swayam ka accident---

Sh: kya?

Hearing this she dropped the phone from her hands… taani immediately turned off the speaker, and picking up the phone, said

Taani: kaise? Kaha?

Rey: hum sab highway no. 7 pe hai… you guys also come here…

Taani: hum aate hai…

Sharon was numb. She was not feeling anything. She was not responding to anyone's calling. She was just starring at the floor. Tears rolling down her eyes. Taani held her, and shook her. She came out of the trance, and started crying, she hugged taani tightly.

Sh: nahi, use kuch nahi ho sakta… please bolo na taani….

Taani: sharon calm down, we have to go there…

All the girls were tensed. They all at once went and sat in the car, and taani started driving, the other girls were trying to calm down sharon. She was continuously crying. They reached the highway no. 7. All the girls stepped out of the car. But not sharon. She was scared to even step out of the car. Taani went to the passenger seat door, and opened it. She forwarded her hand, but sharon nodded negatively. Taani said,

Taani: hum sab saath mein hai, nothing wrong will happen. Trust me.

Sharon gave her hand in taani's hand. And slowly stepped out of the car. She came out of the car. The girls saw all the boys standing and smirking to them, near the car. As soon as sharon saw swayam, she just rushed towards him, and hugged him tight. Swayam was confused. But hugged her back. Sharon was crying badly on his chest. All the boys were confused, on why was sharon reacting like this… sharon broke the hug and

Sh: tum thik, ho? Tumhe kaha lagi? Tumhara toh accident hua that na?

Just then all the girls came towards them, and taani asked,

Taani: rey yeh sab kya hai? Aapne toh kaha that ki swayam ka accident hua hai?

Vi: wo—

Nil: are wo toh ek prank tha!! Tum girls ko kya laga swayam ka sach mein accident hua hai?

Bh: tum ladkiyo mein dimag waise bhi kam hi hoti hai.

Am: stupid girls…

Sw: haa sharon, it was just a prank…

Sharon was now angry…

Sh: just a prank? tumhara accident hua hai, yeh prank hai? Pata hai main kitna dar gayi thi?*crying*

Sw: sh-sh- stop crying, I am sorry. Mujhe nahi laga tha ki tum itna dar jaogi…

Sh: I am not gonna leave you…

Sw: pehle pakdo to sahi?

And with this, sharon started running behind each other on the road. And the gang smile and laughed seeing them running after each other like tom & jerry.

Sharon was running behind swayam. Swayam rand to the other end of the road and was signaling sharon to come and catch him.

Sw: catch me if you can.

Hearing this sharon ran towards swayam. But what she did not see was a truck coming towards her. She heard the horn of the truck, and saw the truck, but she was shocked to do anything. The truck was so close to and there, it hit her. Swayam who was standing there, his smile turned in to horror. The gang was who also witnessed the scene, also came there, swayam rushed towards sharon… he put her head in his lap, and said..

Sw: sharon aakhe kholo, please, sharon please…

But there was no reply from sharon. She was unconscious. The gang came there. And rey said.

Rey: swayam: jaldi let's take her to the hospital…

Swayam quickly got up, and picked her up in his arms. Rey went to the drivers' seat, taani in the passenger seat, and swayam sat in the back seat, with sharon's hear in his lap. The rest of the gang followed them to the hospital in another car. Here swayam was scared, tensed . he said to sharon,

Sw: main tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga, I promise, stay with me shar, I love you….

But he did not get any response from her. He was hell scared now. He did not want to lose the most precious thing in his life. The soon reached the hospital. They made sharon lie, in the stretcher, and the doctors took her into the OT. Everyone, was walking from one end to the other, tensed, except swayam. He was numb. He did not even speak anything, after sharon was brought to the hospital. He was quite. He was not even crying. He was just numb. Taani gestured rey to go and talk to him. So rey went to swayam, and,

Rey: swayam, sharon ko kuch nahi hoga…

But swayam did not utter a single word. He was still quite.

Rey: swayam tujhe rona hai to ro le, but please aise chup mat reh, hume bahot dar lag raha hai… swayam cry, its okay…

But still swayam did not say a word, he just kept starring at the ground.

Rey: swayam tujhe rona hoga…. Rona hoga tujhe…

And with this, he gave a tight slap to swayam. And swayam looked at rey, and he hugged him tight and started crying. Her was crying badly. He was not ready to lose the most important person in his life. He was crying. He was not ready to leave rey. But still rey broke the hug, and

Sw: main—use nahi kho sakta …

Rey: sharon ko kuch nahi hoga…

Sw: maine toh abhi tak use bata bhi nahi ki main usse kitna pyaar karta hun, nahi use kuch nahi ho sakta… bol na rey, use kuch nahi hoga na? bol na rey, use kuch nahi hoga na…. tu kuch bol kyu nahi raha hai…

But rey had no answer to his questions. So he just hugged swayam. Swayam hugged him back and started crying. Hours passed. Around 2 hours later, the doctor came out of the OT. As the doctor was proceeding towards the gang, swayam looked towards rey, rey knew he was scared, taani came and stood beside him and holded swayam's hand, the gang came together and holded each other's hand. The doctor came to them. Rey asked,

Rey: doctor, sharon kaise hai?

Doc: thodi der ho jati ho problem hoti, but she is fine…. But still weak….

The gang breadth a sigh of relief, they were happy, and hugged each other. Swayam was still in shock. A lone tear rolled down his cheek. Rey came and hugged him. He hugged him back. Swayam closed his eyes, and let the tears roll down his cheeks. Rey broke the hug, and said,

Rey: she is fine…

Sw: hm…

Rey: doc, is she still unconscious? Can we meet her?

Doc: no, she is conscious now, you can meet her…

And hearing this, the gang rushed into sharon's ward. There she was. She was on the bed, in half sitting and half seeping position. A bandage around her head. She was looking pale. Swayam made his way towards her ward, he did not want to see her, in that condition, but he also wanted to see her with his own eyes, make sure she was okay. So he proceeded to her ward. He was the last one to come inside. The gang was talking with sharon.

Rey: how are you feeling sharon?

Sh: I am okay rey…

Taani: we were so scared..

Sh: I know…

Vi: aur sab se zyada swayam…

Sharon was trying to see his face, but could not, as the gang had surrounded her. She wanted to see him desperately. Just then, the nurse came in, and said..

Nu: chaliye inhe abhi aaram karne dijiye, aur aap mein se koi ek hi, yaha pe raat ko inke saath ruk sakta hai…

Taani: main ruk jaati hun…

Sw: nahi main rukta hun….

And there, sharon heard swayam's voice. She knew what he must be feeling right now. His voice was all shaken up.

Taani: but swayam…

Rey: no, taani swayam ko yaha rukne do…

Taani nodded. And the gang wished her a speedy recovery. And promising that they will come back tomorrow morning, they left. Swayam waited that all of them went outside the room. Once everyone was gone he went and locked the door. He turned around, and saw sharon there. She was looking at him with so much love. A tear rolled down, swayam's cheek. Sharon on seeing that, just opened her arms, and swayam rushed and hugged her tight. He started crying, and sharon was also crying. Swayam between his sobs,

Sw: main- dar- tumhe-kho- nahi- sakta—

Sh: sh-sh- bas swayam, I am fit and fine… okay… don't cry…'

Swayam broke the hug, and cupped her face, and said…

Sw: I love you sharon, I love you, very very much….

Sh: I love you to… swayam, very-very much…

As soon as swayam heard these word he hugged her tight, and said,

Sw: hm meri jaan ho, sharon tumhe agar kuch ho jata ho main bhi---

But sharon broke the hug, and kept her hand on his mouth, and

Sh: nahi, aise baatein nahi karte, dekho mujhe kuch nahi kua hai… okay…

Sw: hm…

Sh: swayam, you don't know how much I have waited to hear these words from your mouth, phir se bolo na…

Sw: I love you jaan, I love you….

Sh: I love you too…tum meri Zindagi ho….

Sw: ab chalo, rest, okay, you need it jaan…

Sh: jaan?

Sw: haa, ab meri jaan ko jaan nahi kahunga toh aur kya kiahunga…

Sharon blushed a deep shade of red, hearing his comment. He was looking at her intently, their faces were inches apart. Swayam claimed her lips. He was kissing he urgently. Sharon knew that he still wanted to make himself belief that she was alrite, that's why he was kissing her so urgently. She gave in, and started kissing him with equal fervor. Swayam broke the kiss and he was out of breath, and ke knew sharon was too. He broke the kiss. He looked towards sharon. She smiled at him. He smiled back. He made he lay, on the bed, and sat beside her on the stool. He was caressing her hair slowly. And just then she,

Sh: tum bahot dar gaye the na?

Sw: bahot... I am sorry jaan…

Sh: sorry?

Sw: ha, na main wo prank khelta, na tum waha highway pe aati aur na yeh sab hota.. I am really sorry..

Sh: is mein tumhari koi galti nahi hai…

Sw: no, jaan meri galti hai…

Sh: agar tumhe pata hota ki aisa kuch hone wala hai, to kya tum wo prank kar te?

Swayam nodded negatively…

Sh: see… tumhe nahi pata tha ki aisa kuch hoga, toh phir tumhari galti kaise hui?

Swayam smiled at her…

SH: waise bhi, mera swayam kabhi mujhe hurt nahi kar sakta, you know he loves me a lot….

Sw: wo toh hai…

She smiled at him. He caressed her hand.

Sw: ab chalo so jao… you need rest… good night jaan…

SW: I love you jaan

Sh: I love you too..

Sharon holded his hand tight. Swayam was caressing his hair softly. And she went into deep slumber. Swayam kissed her forehead.

Sw: tumhe kabhi kuch nahi hone dunga main, jaan, I love you, I love you a lot… tumhare bina jeene ki shakti nahi hai mujhe. Tum meri jaan ho, tumse kitna pyaar karta hun, yeh to mujhe bhi nahi pata, par tumhare bina nahi jee sakta, itna pata hai mujhe… I love you jaan, I love you…

And saying this he, kept his head on sharon's bed, and let sleep overcome him, still holding his hand.
