Chapter 12
Don't know why ds.mish id is not working m trying to post update from last 3-4 days but can't post it

It was almost 6pm and for the first time in her life. Geet felt nervous, not because of the date but more of his reaction since morning. Something was wrong and she could just feel it. His bandaged hand was on her mind.

She was ready waiting for her husband. She was dressed in a gorgeous black net saree.

Soon the front door bell rang. She opened the door to see her husband in a black suit, already ready. He looked sexy as always. No-one should be allowed to look this good, she decided.

Maan's gaze on her made her blush. Her saree was almost a tease. It was semi-transparent, revealing more skin than hiding it.

So Geet, lets go said Maan.

Yes..i am ready, replied Geet.

The drive to the restaurant was a quiet one. Both were lost in each others thoughts. The air that filled them was filled with nervousness. Geet could almost sense that he was hearing her strong heartbeats.

They reached the restaurant. It was an authentic Chinese restaurant, The Blue Orchid. They already booked a reservation and were taken directly to their secluded table, directed by the manager himself. After all, marrying the most honored human being had its charms. The manager soon left them, telling them to call him if there were any delays in the services.

Maan gazed at Geet and pulled the chair for her sit on, just like a true gentlemen would. However Geet walked to the other side of the table and pulled the chair and sat down. They say that innocence comes with charm, however this type of charm was not appreciated by Maan Singh Khurana himself.

He felt some-what amused by this nymph of a creature, sitting in front of him, frowning. He braced himself for all the surprises that he was going to get from his wife. He took a seat and joined Geet.

It was time to order their meal. As it was a Chinese restaurant, Geet left it to Maan to order food. Soon the food was ordered and they sat their in silence, which only meant to last for split 30 seconds, before Geet began to talk.

Umm...Are you okay? asked Geet, carefully.

Yeah I am fine. Why? asked Maan, curious to know the answer.

No, Nothing...just like that. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You looked angry in the morning and then suddenly you said lets go to dinner so I was a bit worried.

Geet - I am fine.

Geet knew that pressing the subject further was going to get her no-where. So instantly she changed the subject.

You know today was my last day of college before our holidays. Now I am free, two weeks to do nothing. This is fantastic, said Geet gleefully.

Maan just looked at her. How was she always happy?

He knew that she was worried about his hand, but when he didn't give her the answers, she just changed the topic like that. She wasn't pushy like a normal wife would be. She was actually giving him space. This made his heart smile. The way she was telling him about her college, made him laugh - inwardly.

He could tell that college was close to her heart.

Maybe he had just judged her wrong?

Maybe, she wasn't a bad life partner to have after all?

There food soon arrived. Geet's smile faded. He saw the sheer panic in her eyes.

What's wrong Geet? Do you not like he food? We can order something else, said Maan, frantically.

No, nothing's wrong with the food. But I don't know how to use those 2 sticks, Geet pointed it out.

Ohh...these are called Chop-sticks.

He demonstrated the chopsticks, how to use them and how they can be used to pick up noodles. Geet soon got the hang of it, how to hold them in her hands, but it took too long for her to eat the noodles itself.

Maan saw her struggling, and felt slightly amused at her efforts. He pulled her chair closer to his and snatched the chop-sticks from her hands, and placed them on her plate. He then picked up his own Chop-sticks and started to feed her. Geet started to eat comfortably from his hands. They soon finished the food, and Maan settled the bill.

Thank you Maan, this was the best dinner, said Geet, who clearly enjoyed herself.

No need to say thank you, I am glad that you liked it. I just didn't know what you preferred to eat, so I brought you here. This is my favorite restaurant, said Maan.

They soon left back to the outhouse. They bid each other good-night.

It was a successful day - however tomorrows news was going to be a shock to both of them.
