Chapter 6
2 weeks later -
Kriya sat in one of the empty classes of her collge. She held her head with frustration quite visible on her docile face.
This has been her way to seek solace since the last two weeks...after That Incident.
She would often fake a smile with her friends and as soon as
she got a chance to be alone..she would go to some isolated place where she can face all her worries instead of trying to mask them..
When she had joined this collge again, and unexpectedly had to face her past again.. She had let her mind control all other feelings and thus was able to put up a cold attitude.
But she wont deny the fact that even after all thse years she still had a soft corner for Rey, after all the best moments of her life was spent with him!
May that was one reason that when he came forward and asked to Start it all over again, sticking to being Just friends.. She could'nt retort and had finally given in without disclosing the reason for her departure even then.
Even after their relation went to being best friends.. Kriya had a complete control over her feelings, not allowing her heart to call for him again... Afterall he was very much committed...
But inspite of all This, what happened was what she feared the most... That night of their consumption had lead to breaking all the barriers she had created. Though both of them were in an unconscious state, what she exprienced was a feeling of contentment followed by guilt..
And what followed Next morning.. She still hoped for it all to be Just a nightmare..
She had woken up to find herself alone in the room, wrapped in Just sheets.. It was then That the events of previous night came before her...
And there she faced mixed feelings of bliss and guilt at the same time.. Though it was none of their fault..
She at the very instant had also allowed her heart to overtake her mind..and finally confessed to herself That she still has feelings for him... And was in no state to confess or even let go..
But she had made up her mind to have a talk with him and have an open conversation than making him feel guilty.. She did not want to miss his friendship atleast..
But as soon as she faced him in collge again..she knew things were not alright. Not with him not meeting her gaze.. Trying every possible way to ignore her and also sticking with Taani as much as He could.. Not giving her even a chance to talk and sort things out!
Why was He doing This? Did He think she Will try to come between his prsent? That she Will ask for what He couldnt give?! Does'nt He trust her or even her friendship?
All such and many more questions were haunting her since two weeks now. And Rey had'nt even looked at her for these weeks... Thats the reason she tried to spend every possible moment she got alone by herself.. Trying to organize all her absurd thoughts.. She was hurt would be an understatement!
As Kriya was still lost in her thoughts, she Heard some chaos in the atrium That bought her out of her reverie..
Absent mindedly she started walking towards the atrium to check what was actually going on.. On her way she Heard some girls gossiping about a late admission.. Who was supposedly hot.. Kriya Just sighed exasperatedly at them and was about to turn when she dashed to something really hard.
Kriya lost her balance and was about to touch the ground when she grabbed onto whatever came into her hand...
And the Next moment she felt a strong grip at her bare waist (due to the sudden impact her top had gone a little up)..
She closed her eyes in fear.. She slowly opened her eyes already expecting Rey to be There but was left disappointed..
Instead of those hazel Brown eyes, what welcomed her were a pair of grey green eyes, That were staring intently at her..
She slowly looked away from them..and was trying to balance herself when her eyes fell on his shirt, whose buttons had come off all thanks to her tight grip on them to prevent her from falling...
As if all thse were'nt enough, Kriya looked around Just to find Rey staring at her with an unreadable expression... His eyes were set at That guys hand on Kriya's waist!
Taani who was standing beside him was long forgotten.
