Chapter 15- Struck by Cupid

Khushi seems to be behaving weirdly.

I hope She does not fall for NK's charms.

My heart won't be able to endure the pain of seeing My Love with someone else.

I won't be able to play the Best Friends role anymore.

Sheetal was in the same confused mood when Khushi left Us in the Food court of the Amusement Park.

"You are in Love with Khushi???" Sheetal questioned suddenly.

"Hmmm..." I was there in person but My mind was with Khushi and NK at the moment.

"Khushi knows?" Sheetal questioned.

"Nuh-uh..." I replied shortly.

"When do You plan to tell Her? NK will sweep Her off Her feet and You will remain waving Your hand at them." Sheetal argued.

"Khushi likes Me as Her Best Friend... Nothing else." I replied suddenly alert as NK's name had appeared in the conversation.

"You have to make Her realise that You are not Her Best Friend... Have You tried??" Sheetal argued back.

"Nah! I Wanted Her to feel it naturally." I replied.

"Sometimes The person You are destined to be with is in front of You and You will be searching in the wrong places and it's the same with Khushi. Khushi has Her Life in front of Her and She is searching for Mr. Right elsewhere." Sheetal pointed out.

"What do You suggest?" I questioned.

"Someone needs to whack Khushi with the Cupid's arrow... She is surely getting Her senses back." Sheetal smirked.

Sheetal is 100% Right.

Khushi needs to see Me as Something other than Her Best Friend.

And I think the solution is in front of Me.

"Sheetal... I think I have a Plan... Will You help Me??" I questioned earnestly.

"Of course." Sheetal answered in positivity.

Phewww... Sheetal is in My team now.

Now, I am surely going to win My Khushi back and NK can bite the dust.

I should probably go and call Khushi now.

I woke up today Morning because of the buzzing message tone of My cell phone.

It was from Payal.

'Khushi... Coming there in an Hour...Keep Breakfast ready... Lav tagging along...:D.- Payal...'

Urghh... What a waste of Sunday morning sleep.

I buried My phone under the pillow and slept again.

The thoughts of Sheetal and Arnav together were not letting My brain sleep at all.

Am I being the over- protective Bestie or the jealous Friend??

I can't be jealous. I am not Arnav's girlfriend...I am His Best Friend.

"KHUSHI!!!" My eyes snapped open at the extremely loud scream of Payal.

I turned around in the bed when suddenly the door flew open and Payal stormed in followed by Lavanya.

"What is wrong with You Guys... It's Sunday morning and it's too early to gossip." I whined while burying My head under the pillow.

"Whatever.. We are here because We want first hand information of what happened at the Double Date yesterday??" Payal smirked while giving Lavanya a knowing look.

Double Date ??

"What do you mean by a double date?? We went like friends..." I said now fully awake and alert.

"Yeah Sure... Friends." Lavanya smirked.

"What is up with You?? Why the long face??" Payal said scanning My face closely.

"Yeah... Something is definitely up, Khushi... Spill." Lavanya urged.

"Nothing is up and wrong... I am just irritated." I groaned.

"Ooo...Who ruffled Your feathers yesterday in the Amusement park? NK or Arnav?" Lavanya squealed.

"Yeah... I am confused. It's actually Arnav. I can't bear the sight of Him walking with Sheetal." I confessed trying to get it off Me.

"FINALLY !!! " Payal squealed while dancing crazily next to the side table.

Lavanya clapped Her hands as if Final exams had been cancelled for the rest of Our lives.

"What is wrong with You both??" I looked at them in shock and wonder.

"Thank You 'God' for finally switching on Khushi's brain bulb." Lavanya prayed with closed eyes.

"Urrghh! What is happening here?? See, I am not only confused but I am also irritated and You Guys are just increasing my irritation." I growled while folding up my duvet.

"Did God make your head that dense or is that a hidden talent of Yours??" Payal teased while Lavanya laughed out loud.

I picked up my cushion and threw it towards Her.

Payal ducked and the cushion went flying towards the side table where it knocked down the stuffed 'Winnie the Pooh' which NK had won for Me yesterday.

"Come On, Khushi...You have been friends with Arnav for a freaking long time and still are confused about Your feelings for Him???" Lavanya shrieked while Payal hit Me with the cushion.

"That is because, Arnav and I are Best Friends..." I said and flipped out My phone which was buzzing.

I smiled when I saw the Arnav's name flashing...It was Arnie's message.

'Good Morning, Happiness.. Hope everything is alright with You..Call Me when You are free..: ) 'Arnie.'

"Who is the sender of the text which is making You blush so much??" Lavanya teased while peeking in to see the message.

"It's Arnie..." I said smiling at the message.

"See, See... His life revolves around You... He makes You smile, Cares for You and is practically just with You 24x7. You are meant to be together." Payal explained.

"Arnie is a special part of My Life...Agreed. But He still can't be what You are trying to Make Him to be." I complained while piling the laundry basket.

"Khushi...Save Us from Your cliched 'Best Friends cant date Best Friends' Dialogue...He is everything to You..." Lavanya said rolling Her eyes.

"What do You mean?" I said clearly frustrated with their explanations.

"OK...Let Me prove it to You... Close Your eyes...and answer each question honestly." Payal said sincerely.

I closed My eyes and braced Myself for the attack.

"The person who was Your first Friend?"

"Arnav. Grade XIth. Mrs Manorama's Class."

"Who knows the contents of Your Diary?"

"Of course. Arnie."

"First Dance?"

"Arnav. Grade XIIth Winter Dance. He was not allowing any one to ask Me in the Party."

"First Guy to give You flowers??"

"Arnie... When We passed Our Grade XIIth Boards... He got it from His own garden."

"First 'I Love You' apart from Your family?"

"Arnie... That's like every day."

"KHUSHI!!!!" Lavanya shook My shoulders making Me snap my eyes open.

"Uhuh...What??" I shrieked.

"Arnav is the Guy who practically lives for You..!!" Payal shrieked.

"That is because He is My Best Friend." I shrieked back not wanting to accept their absurd claims.

"Are You Sure?" Lavanya questioned.

"About What?"

"Are You Sure that You do not think of Arnav in that way?" Lavanya confirmed.

Oh My God!

Why Can't I say a simple 'NO'???

"I.-...Ummm... See...- I just know that I am nothing without Him." I concluded.

"Is the feeling towards NK the same??" Payal inquired.

"NK?? How do You think NK is related to this matter??" I questioned in confusion.

"Yes or No??" Payal questioned.

" Nah! I don't think so."

"Khushi... This proves that You see NK as a Friend and Arnav as something More than a Friend." Payal explained in a calm voice.

"You know, You two will make a very cute couple." Lavanya whispered and winked at Me.

Two?

As in Me and Arnav?

"W-What??" I said while Arnav's face flashed in front of My eyes and my cheeks started flaring up.

Lavanya and Payal hi-fived each other.

"The Guy who crossed Your mind when I said that is the one who rules your heart and mind." Lavanya said chuckling loudly.

OMG... I am in Love with Arnav ???

God! Lavanya and Payal have messed up my mind and today was supposed to be a Super Lazy Sunday.

I will just call Arnav and Make my mind go back to its original state or else its going to effect My relations with Arnie..
