sorry for the delay in commenting... read parts 108 to 111 at one go!
108 -- heart-warming to see the eagerness on the part of the music lovers to hear baba's and khushi's jugalbandhi [to me it felt slightly anti-climactic as I would have expected aarti to opt for a more intimate soiree with only the immediate extended family present]... given that music has no restrictions or boundaries, the raizada generously allowing genuine music lovers enjoy the treat was a nice touch! mami clutching her seat in a death grip brought an element of humor int he midst of all that solemnity 😊... the care baba and arnav took while seating khushi / helping her up from the stage was touching... Khushi reached Baba, and both Baba & Arnav helped her sit on the floor by him, each of them holding an arm each. Khushi smiled at both of them, and Arnav left her with Baba, gently pressing her shoulder in passing.... it is those small gestures of love and care that reveal the depth of their relationship... khushi singing solely to arnav with lyrics so apt is just 👏 as a scene: Saajan, Saajan, Saajan more ghar aaye'. Khushi turned to look at Arnavji. He was standing in the wings, his arms crossed, leaning against a pillar, his eyes resting on her with pride. She smiled. His lips stretched in a smile. [they are truly so attuned to each other that they don't need words ] Mangal Gaavoon, Chauk Puraavoon'. 'Prem Piyaa' Hum Paaye', she sang, her melting eyes on her husband, the father of her baby, her lover, her love'. no truer have been written! can't say how much these lines moved me: "Each time I hear you sing, Khushi...", he whispered, "...I want to lift you up in my arms and carry you away...to a world where only we live...so that I can drown in your voice, sink in your love..." Khushi hugged him. "I always sing only for you.", she whispered. "I always search for you in the crowd." it's the small things that mean the most! of course, nk's malapropism at the end lightened the sentimental mood 😊!
109 -- nk's eagerness to get aarti to himself was damn adorable, as was the image of all the young married men wearing knowing smiles... nk is really amma's pet! such an eager groom [the one-track mind must run in the family 😃!] that he forgot to straighten up his room, not to mention make space for his bride's possessions... His three sisters sorted out his cupboard, laughing at the toy aeroplane and the collection of books of jokes among his clothes... CDs...laptop...There was even a half-eaten bag of chips hidden under a shirt... there's a child in nk still 😊! arnav's wicked asides are to die for: Arnav whispered to Akash & Anand Jiju, "I hope NK does not make it a nightmare for Aarti!" that image of a smirking arnav spoke louder than words 😃! it was amusing to see the ladies all proud of their handiwork in decorating the room, only to have their men reveal some hometruths as to where their focus lies on the wedding night 😆... the blush staining khushi's, payal's and anjali's cheeks spoke volumes... must have brought back some truly sizzling memories of their respective suhaag raats ☺️!
110 -- poor nk, his impatience was a sight to see and his comment on 'sabr' had me in splits!anand isn't far behind arnav in naughtiness: "Maybe we should leave NK Bhai'to'err'enjoy the sweet fruits of his sabr?", Anand suggested, a naughty smile on his lips. what a family! khushi and anjali joining hands to tease nk about the contents of his cupboard was damn cute! buaji and mami feeling the need to advise the girls on how to keep their men tied to them was the height of irony! "Girls today have no idea how to keep their pati parmeswar tied to their pallu!", said Mami.... all the girls have their hubbies already wound round their little fingers and the latter are willing slaves... nk's desperation while being forced to listen to buaji's outdated advice to the girls, and the men's asides were real crackers: "What is the use of a knocked out Nandkisore?", whispered Akash to Arnav & Anand. They chuckled... "NK Bhai will most likely think that Aarti has got some dust in her eye." Anand whispered. The men laughed. and nk's reaction was just rollicking: NK fell at Buaji's feet. "Buaji, please! The raat in our suhaag raat is fast becoming din.", he complained.🤣! the amazing photo of buaji pulling nk's cheek adds to the sense of warmth and love that this family embodies... nk really owes arnav 😛!
111 -- those girls' efforts have all gone waste what with nk finding the candles, etc. pesky 😆... what an eager groom, first falling over his bride and then covering her with kisses... a never-before seen kind of suhaag raat with a bridegroom begging for assurances of his bride that they're actually married and that it wasn't a dream... but his heart is in the right place... nk promising aarti to try to be the best husband and her reassuring him that all she needs is his love all their lives, followed by nk helping aarti remove her heavy jewellery were very moving... nk is already an understanding hubby as seen by his choice of a simple pearl set gifted to aarti to wear to office... and of course, aarti's letter, encapsulating her heartfelt feelings, was the most meaningful gift that could have been given to nk!
four great parts having emotion and humor well-balanced!
