A Blissful Night - Chapter Six__________________
The next morning, Kripa entered Starbucks, tired and frustrated with her life. After the scary incident that happened a couple weeks ago at midnight, she couldn't fall asleep at all thinking it would happen again especially after the night club scare. Sahil looked up from his phone and brightened up upon see her.
"Hey, what brings you here so early?" He asked wiping the counter. Kripa sighed shaking her head, rubbing her temples.
"I didn't sleep last night. I have this terrible headache. So i figured I'd get some coffee before getting to work." She explained walking up to the counter and leaning on it. Sahil paused with the cleaning and smiled at her sweetly.
"Sure, what do you want?" He asked throwing his hat on. Kripa laughed reaching over and pulling the hat off.
"Just regular coffee. 2 sugar, 2 cream. Grande." She mumbled playing with his hat.
"Why didn't you sleep?" Sahil questioned her, his back to her.
"I heard some noise outside my house a couple weeks. I thought someone was out there so I got scared but when I checked, no one was there. I've been really stressed out these days so maybe that's why I'm hearing things now. But after that, I've been scared to death. " She laughed throwing his hat at him. He turned around and picked it up.
"Yeah, that's probably what happened." He said picking up the cup and placing a lid on it.
"Here you go Princess." Kripa blushed slightly and took the cup, pulling out $6.
"I don't want the change. I'm getting late. Bye, see you later." Kripa said running out.

That evening, Riddhima and Kripa got ready at Riddhima's house for Khushi and Madhu's engagement. As Kripa put on her pink bangles, Riddhima continously complained about Armaan and how he refused to wear anything yellow.
"Ridz, he's gonna wear black isn't he? Yellow matches black. Don't worry." Kripa chuckled.
Riddhima stuck her tongue out at her and glanced at the time before gasping.
"Kripa! Shit! We're late man! Hurry up." Riddhima snapped, helping Kripa with the bangles before they rushed out of the house and drove off.

As the two girls arrived outside the party hall, Armaan and Sahil stood outside the door waiting for them. Kripa was pleased to find Sahil wearing a pink tie who was just as surprised to realize that they were matching. Armaan, however was anything but happy. He grabbed Riddhima's arm and pulled her close.
"Why did you make Kripa and Sahil wear matching outfits?" He hissed. Riddhima pulled her arm away, fixing her net arms glaring at him.
"Because Kripa likes him." Riddhima stated walking off, glad she hurt his feelings. Kripa and Sahil looked at each other for a moment before he offered her his arm, which she took grinning as they entered the hall. Armaan followed behind sulking. As the four walked in, Rishab, Madhu, Arnav and Khushi stood off to the side and greeted them.
"Hey, thanks for coming." Rishab said grinning fixing his tux with his hand in Madhu's who looked beautiful in a purple choli lengha, same as her sister's who leaned over, pulling Kripa into a hug.
"You and Sahil look great." Khushi whispered into Kripa's ears, causing Kripa to turn a crimson red. Khushi giggled pinching her cheeks which lead to Riddhima pulling Kripa away.
"Why the heck is she so friendly with you?" Riddhima asked her quietly. Kripa sighed.
"She's a friend Ridz." Kripa mumbled. Before Riddhima could reply, Khushi pushed Sahil and Kripa to the dance floor to dance.
Teri baahon mein mili, Aisi rahat si mujhe
Ho gayi jaan-e-jahaan
Teri aadat se mujhe
Dekhun main jab tujhko toh
Tab mera din yeh dhale
Kripa blushed at the proximity as Sahil gently placed a hand on her waist and pulled her close. She leaned forward so they couldn't look at each other. Closing her eyes, she shuddered at his breath on her neck. A gentle smile crept onto her lips and she sighed feeling content.
Armaan watched the two from afar and felt a part of his heart break. Grabbing a glass of wine, he gulped it down turning around, closing his eyes to stop the tears from spilling. Finally, he decided if this was what made Kripa happy then so be it. He'd be happy for her. He'd help her get what she wanted. Turning around again, he looked at Sahil and Kripa and forced a smile on his face.
Deewana kar raha hai
Tera roop sunehra
Musalsal khal raha hai
Mujhko abh yeh sehra
Riddhima walked over to Armaan and held out her hand, asking for a dance. He grinned at her and took it without hesitating making her want to jump up in joy. She completely ignored Khushi and Madhu who were also dancing with their respective boyfriends, for the first time. She had no reason to be jealous when she had Armaan with her.
Bata ab jaayein toh jaayein kaha
Deewana kar raha hai
Tera roop sunehra
Musalsal khal raha hai
Mujhko abh yeh sehra
Moments later, the Guptas and Kundras were exchanging rings happily. Kripa stood beside Sahil and blushed at the way their hands brushed together. She wanted to grab his hand but something held her back.
After eating, everyone started to leave. When Riddhima offered to drive Kripa, Sahil intervened suggesting he and Kripa walk. As the two walked, Kripa tied up her hair and looked at Sahil who seemed awfully quiet for some reason. Without realizing, Kripa felt herself slipping on a patch of ice her heels couldn't walk on but Sahil held her to stop her from falling. The two seemed transfixed as they gazed into each other's eyes. Sahil gently caressed her cheek and smiled at her, his face inches away from hers. She inhaled his cologne and felt herself being brought up. As she stood up straight, their lips brushed and she felt a jolt of electricity go through her. Sahil cleared his throat and started walking again. Kripa followed him once she managed to compose herself. An awkward silence seemed to rest in the air, even when Kripa whispered a goodnight to him at the door. He didn't even bother replying and instead, turned around and walked away, leaving her at the door smiling.
