The Pursuit of Love

This work of fiction is greatly inspired by the serial "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon", books I have read and people I have met. The characters are similar to that in the serial, although the content, situations and style of writing are mine.

I would love to read your comments and suggestions, I would not promise to include all in my writing and would like to add, constructive criticism is always welcome; it would greatly help the story and my effort to stay true to the concept. I am relatively new to writing and though I enjoy it immensely, my ability at writing regular updates is limited. The update soon comments, honestly cannot be honored as I mentioned earlier, cannot type that fast.

Their first tiff as lovers???

I know how Arnav is feeling right now. He must be feeling that first Bua, then food, then spa, everything became a priority on a weekend he wanted to have for himself.

He is a man of few words and a lot of anger. I am not surprised that he shouted at her so. And he so casually walked to have lunch with his family knowing she will call.

But this is Khushi we are talking about. She is not going to just sit and let him shout at her. She will disconnect the call while telling him to call her. Wah! 👏 Of course I am team Khushi

Payal is so useful here unlike the show. Getting Khushi to the party unaware that he wants her to be there probably more than anyone else

I understand Khushi doesn't want to meet his family yet. Samjha. But the gift thing. I am sure when Arnav bought for her the saree he didn't look at the price tag. Not because he could afford it. But because he would have bought her a saree she liked even if it were half the value.

And when a man gifts his woman a saree it is not because he is trying to overwhelm her or anything. He just wants her to look beautiful in it for him

Kushi is so much like me, I swear. I love how she stood her ground and in her own way told Arnav off. And guess what she didnt even have to shout like he did. I love Arnav to bits, but he cant start throwing his toys out of the pram every time things dont go his way. Kushis calm but stoic nature complements Arnav's hot and fiery nature perfectly. She is the cold rabdi to his hot jalebi (I know it sounds lame).

Loved the nok jhok between the 2. Real life and love isn't a bed of roses, you've got to work on it constantly. Thanks for keeping this story and their relationship as real as possible.

Ok...first things first! He gifted her the Saree! I don't know if giving the black Saree to Khushi was a part of your story or you gave in to the demands of your readers; whatever the reason is, I'm happy!

Thanks for the update.. finally I see Khushi just not giving into Arnav's demands .. I generally find his ways , tad high-handed.. I loved the fact that she disconnected the call when he was being difficult ... I recall him mentioning to Manohar that he wanted Khushi to be clingy..needy .. I found that very unexpected, coming from Arnav .. he just does not seem to get the hang of the package that is Khushi .. I was super glad today ... thanks again..

Nice update...Cant guess whose entring and what would be hisor her impact on Arnav/Khushi relation ship which is still little edgy...

Congradz for the new thread...Khushi is right to accept a gift that too an expensive one in this early stage is nt seems good..a dignified and self-respected girl like her won't accept it for sure...Arnav and his anger,its sometime too much to bear...usually he hate clingy and needy people but from Khushi that what he exactly needed ,her full attention for him and she is clearly nt giving him those statisfaction..this is what irked him more and the anger is just the aftr effect of this frustration...Kalyani and cliff hanger!!!!who is this guest..her friend or Shashi or Khushal??
