Deja vu ? Do you get Deja vu ?
"Khushi..Khushi wait up!!!"
"It's over Arnav" I shoved my stuff back in my purse and took the car keys from his side-table.
"You have to listen to me first. Just one chance." He pleaded.
"There's no point left to explain. I understood everything. Let me leave."
"NO! You can't just leave me alone and go". He held my wrist. His moist eyes begging me to stay.
"For you loving me was an option, leaving you is my choice Arnav." His hands slid off my wrist as I took my purse and left.

"You had your lunch yet?" I barged into his cabin dodging his security and the assistants outside.
"Sir." He looked smugly at me raising his one eye-brow. He was busy typing something in his laptop when I had blasted inside.
"It's alright Fred." He raised his hand to the security guard who had followed me inside. The guard nodded and left us alone.
"Sorry Sir."
"Why do you even care, huh?" he leaned back in his revolving chair and looked bemused.
"It's past 3 pm and you are still in your cabin. The lunch break was over two hours ago. I didn't see anyone entering inside with food."
"What were you doing in this floor? Spying on me?"
"Actually Rodger sent me here to co-ordinate the next week's conference in PR department up here. But stop dodging my question- Go and have your lunch now."
"I'll eat when I am hungry." He went back to his laptop dismissing my presence.
"What? You had your breakfast at 8am. You have such ill-eating habits. That's bad for your health."
"If your preaching is over, you can leave."
"Arnav, don't let work consume you so much that it starts controlling you instead."
"Khushi! Stop this pretense. It sounds like bullshit coming from your mouth. I am now used to eating whenever I feel like. All these years I have been living my life like this only. Don't play the good-wife acting card. It sucks cause we both know what the other actually feels."
"Look Arnav, I am not in the mood to delve on those matters today. Let's not spoil my good mood. Okay? Just eat your lunch like a good boy or else…."
"Else?"
"Else I won't talk to you anymore."
"Just because I carried you on my back last night you are assuming too much."
I tried hard to cover my flustered face." I was drunk. You can't count my words or action in that state."
"Right. And I only helped you because you were in that drunk state. Don't think my feelings have moved one way aside for you."
"Yeah I know the level you hate me. But the surprise is I had no clue you are ashamed of me as well."
"What?"
"Don't act surprised. Your refusal to disclose our marriage in your office and social network is ample proof of it."
"I have my other reasons not to disclose it."
"What if you don't say but the word leaks out on our marriage?"
"You are not saying anyone anything Khushi. You get that? Or else your money will go down the drain."
"Really? I don't actually remember reading any such clause in the contract papers."
Angrily he got up from the chair and walked menacingly towards me. He stopped inches apart from my face and looked intently into my eyes.
"What do you want Khushi?" he growled in a low whisper.
"I want to meet Angelena."
It's amazingly how coldly unperturbed he managed to stay hearing her name. Such a class actor.
"Are you out of your mind?"
"Why can't I see her? Or have you got some exclusive rights to see her.
"Ouch. You are still so insecure ." He traced his finger on my cheek. Instantly I felt tremors on the skin he touched.
I shoved his hand away." Don't think it works on me anymore. I want to meet her."
"Really? I must have lost my charm then. Bet you won't feel a thing if I'd kiss you again. Or wait it a play that you pretend such so that I come closer to you?"
"If you are done with your dirty thinking, set me up a meeting with Angelena.ASAP."
"Why so desperate darling?"
"Tomorrow, if possible."
"But I can't set up any meeting with her."
"What do you mean, you can't?"
"For she's not in town."
"Don't lie. Now who's acting Insecure?"
"Like I care. She is out of this city for a month. She is in Denver right now."
"How do you still know where she is? Of course I forgot she's the reason why you live. Wouldn't she be hurt that I married you in her place?"
"She already knows Khushi. But unlike you she isn't insecure about us knowing we wouldn't ever cross that line. Atleast not me."
"Never me either. I married you for this job only. Not for you. I have no interest left."
"Meaning you had plentiful interest in me back then."
"Why do you always try to double-talk with me? You are just sounding vulgar."
"So that I can see your flustered face. Oh sorry, I forgot I don't affect you anymore."
I rolled my eyes. "Just make me meet her the moment she's back here."
"First I need to know the purpose of your meeting."
"Obviously I wanna talk to her."
"Sadly I am not that dumb to not figure that much out myself. Why do you want to talk her suddenly?" his voice became dead serious.
"If talking to you was an option, I wouldn't need a meeting with Angelena."
"What other options do I have then? " he quivered close to my lips.
"You have the option of telling the world I am your duly wedded wife."
"Tshk….why trouble others Khushi? Why they need to know when we don't share a husband-wife relationship in the first place?"
"You have made my entire life a joke. And m not talking about today. Three years back you did what you did . Don't you get tired of all this?"
"Loving you was one of the options I had back then, hating you today is my choice."

The picturesque setting was enchanting. The sun sank amidst the shimmering orange hue. It was a cold breeze whipping against my locks as I stood staring at the setting sun on the roof of the fifteen storied high office building.
Something cold moved down my cheeks. Angrily I wiped them away. This feeling of loneliness is the worst thing in the entire world. You feel so small and lost amidst the whole crowd in the city. I am capable of living alone but being lonely is the thing I am incapable of handling.
Somewhere down inside the building, in the fifteenth floor someone else was also staring at the setting sun seeing how the beautiful invincible sun finally doomed to darkness.
