Rosy is smart, beautiful and knows how to think on her feet in any given situation. Loved the way she stayed alert at every point and adjusted according to the situation. And Karan is her perfect partner, they are so in sync with each other that it all works well for them.

I want to know more about the murder of the married couple and how they are connected to Arjuna and Ayesha's home town it seems.

If she had to be played on screen, it would have to be by a resurrected Lauren Bacall (You would be too young to even know who she was, but you can google her, and perhaps even see a couple of her films with the legendary Humphrey Bogart, whom she married when she was just over 19 and he was 45. It was his third marriage, but they were spectacularly happy together for 12 years till he died of throat cancer). No one else could project Rosanna's self-assured sensuality, the boundless appetite for risk that leaves Karan gasping, the quickwittedness, and the true blue professionalism, half as well.

She runs rings around Karan, and she would do the same with practically every other male member of your cast. Bar perhaps only one, and there too, she would match him stride for stride, she would never lag behind. Now their coming face to face would be something to look out for, and being a female chauvinist, I would unhesitatingly root for her. Her courage is not of the heat-of-battle-against-an-open-enemy variety; it is the cold courage of someone whose nerves can stand the strain of endless jousting against deadly shadows, and at enormous risk.

I just loved her in this chapter. Her spotting the telltale shifts in Pereira's accent. The tenacity with which she hangs in there in the car park, and keeps Karan there too, till Pereira's truth is revealed. The sang froid with which she takes the news that Pereira is having his goons trail her. The speed with which she thinks up, and puts thru, a plan for letting her first remove the bug from Pereira's lapel, and then insinuate herself into his circle, so to speak. Her instinctively making a note of the number of Pereira's SUV. Mata Hari would have approved!

As for the other track, I liked the 'gunmetal' eyes. Much better than the overworked 'coal black', or 'steely'. As for tucking the gun into the trouser waistband at the back, I always find that strange and risky, like keeping your wallet in your hip pocket. So I was delighted when, in the episode about the prison riot, Arjun's gun fell down at a most inopportune moment! A shoulder holster ' like the ones used by Rathore and Ayesha ' is so much more sensible.

And again you have the same two heads snapping up at the mention of Khopoli; I dare say something to do with the laal pari, or part of the shared past of Arjun and Ayesha. But for me, Rosanna comes in at all the numbers from 1 to 10.

Oh and yes, I ran a Google search on Lauren Bacall, and must say, you were absolutely right.. She appeared to me as an enigma, a perfect and rare blend of classic and sensuous beauty.. Someone resembling the unparalleled Marilyn Monroe..
I'm going to download and watch 'Dark Passage' as soon as I can.. Have heard a lot about the movie..

I'm glad you've noticed those little bits about Rosanna's persona.. I'm trying to make her appear as professional as I can, without going overboard.. Chapter 4-B would be aimed at providing a glimpse into the little girl hidden behind the seemingly sultry seductress..

Oh and I can't wait for them to meet either and the fireworks to begin! 😆 My fingers are itching to fast forward the story a couple of parts into the future.. However, patience is what it needs as of now.. A few unanswered questions and character progressions need to be dealt with, first..
Well, you're right there.. It is indeed a herculean task for me to strengthen and present Rosanna's character for you and me to pick the lady in red as opposed to the supercop.. But here I am, rooting for woman power.. 😊
