The line which hold my attention for more than required time is:
She had hundreds of unread messages, all from a certain 'Lady in Red..'
So there is a certain Lady in Red since long.I was in the impression that The Lady in Red is none other that Ro.Anyways had to wait for it.Do I have an option other than waiting😉

Aisha's emotional outpour was superbly handled Avantika,her reliving the horrifying incident of her family dying in front of her eyes might b the most painful experience but she moved past the death & saved the one who was alive.👏Here too she managed to hide her sister's secret but i doubt Arjun have missed this part.

Wow yaar Im lost 4 words

My dear Avantika,

In the whole of this chapter, what took my breath away (apart from the unfailing appositeness of the opening quotation) was what happens to Rosy when she hears Arjun's voice for the first time in 5 years.

It was quite out of the blue, the sheer violence of the despair and self-reproach that comes gushing out, and it knocked me for a six without any warning. After so many instances of unfailing, no holds barred camaraderie between them – the salt laced chai here being only the latest example of that - I had no idea it was anything like as obsessive, the bond between Miss A and Mr. A.

It is no easy going if occasionally acrimonious sense of belonging together as pals. I t is a desperate need of one for the other, which has lost none of its strength for having been ruthlessly suppressed for all of 5 years. It is more like Shirin Farhad or Heer Ranjha than Arohi Pradhan and Arjun Rawte.

One could perhaps argue that while Rosy does feel for Arjun with the depth and intensity that is seen here, this might not be equally true of Arjun. Not so, for it he did not feel for his Miss A with the same fierce possessiveness, he would never have been so frantic when she was incommunicado for a week, till he managed to locate her and drag her back home.

But I wonder if even today, Arjun realizes the truth of this, of the true extent of his attachment to his (erstwhile) best friend, and acknowledges it to himself. Maybe not, for the most difficult transition to make is the one from friendship to love, and the closer and more open the friendship, the more difficult it is to make the transition. And to ensure that it is a two way one, for a one-sided love portends the death of the friendship, as surely as night follows day.

This unexpected element that you have pulled out a hat, like a PC Sorcar in his prime, makes it even more difficult to guess the answer to the one ever present question in my mind. This is the question of how Arjun will react when he learns, at long last, that his Miss A has let him suffer agonies of self reproach, and the bitterness of the worst loss he could ever suffer, for fully 5 years, and all for reasons of her own that he does not know and cannot understand even if he did.

Now that bids fair to be the mother of all bust ups!
