Chapter 6B: Hum honge khaamiyaab!
Next morning…..Aisha was out on her routine jogging to the park near her home…….it was about 6:30 in the morning!
As she finished her rounds, she saw a strange sight and went nearer…..A lonely girl lay on a bare bench in the far end of the park, all curled up and hugging herself due to the cold breeze…..That state literally melted Aisha…..She sat up next to her and patted her to wake her up…..The girl got up in a startle and moved to the corner of the bench in a reflex while Aisha tried to console her "Relax relax…"

The girl who seemed to be 15 or 16 of age looked up to face Aisha…..fear lurking her small eyes, her hands shaking perhaps due to the morning chillness! She looked miserable and Aisha couldn't help sympathize and feel bad for her!

A few hours later, ETF office…..
The team was coming in one by one and all eyes were curiously looking at the sight….A different sight that caught all their attention! Even the don't care attitude waala akdu ACP seemed to be interested in knowing the matter!
A dull looking girl sitting at Aisha's desk and Aisha was trying to calm her down and it was obvious that the girl was on the verge of tears!
Aisha stood up when she saw Rathod looking at them enquiringly meaning "Whats the matter?"
She could see other enquiring eyes of Arjun, Shree and Chotu…..
Aisha walked to the conference table where the men had assembled obviously expecting an explanation, an answer from her!
She spoke up before anyone else spoke up "usski naam Narmada hai…..mere same locality mein rehthi hai…..leikin aaj hi pehli baar mili hoom…..subah park mein!...woh ghar jaana nahi chahthi thi…..shaayad raat barr park mein hi thi!
Rathod interrupted "WHAT?? Raat barr park mein???paagal toh nahi hai na??? usske address aur parents ke phone number hai na tumaare paas?? Jaldi se phone karo aur unne bulaakhar matter solve karo….Do it now Aisha!"
Aisha: sir….itni simple nahi hai…agar hoti toh main kabka kar chukhi hoti!…..problem yeh nahi ke woh ghar nahi gayi….balkhi yeh hai ke woh ghar kyun nahi jaana nahi chahthi…..
Arjun stood with his hands crossed against his chest…..his eyes observing the girl and her fearful state and his ears sharpened to Aisha's words…..His intuitions were getting stronger without Aisha having to say anything but he waited for the facts to unfold!
His look beyond the obvious intuitions never went wrong and here it was evident to him what could have gone wrong with the girl!
Rathod getting impatient "then out with it Aisha!"
Aisha: usski parents nahi hai…..apni behen Ganga aur jeeju Kunal ke saat rehthi hai…aur problem uss Kunal mein hai sir….
Shree was curious now…."matlab?"
Arjun could sense that Aisha was feeling uncomfortable a bit in coming out with the truth in direct words….So he pitches in and put it across in direct words…"matlab saaf hai Shree….jeeju apna wife ke behen ko bhi biwi banaana chahtha hai….matlab biwi jaisa treat karne laga hai!! Right Aisha?
Aisha looked stunned by Arjun's relevation and that too the truth without knowing any background information….She nodded "hmmm…aur yeh bechaari usske harkathon se bohat darr gayi hai! …….dho dinon Ganga ki nightshift chal rahi hai aur Kunal ne iske saath zabardasti karne ki khoshish kiya par kaise bhi karke yeh bachh gayi….uss raat barr washroom mein padi rahi…..…..isiliye kal Kunal ke ghar aane se pehle, ghar se bhaag aagayi…..kahi aur jaa nahi sakhthi thi kyun ki usse yeh sab kehne mein bohat sharm ho rahi hai….apni didi ko face karne ki himmat nahi hai….because she thinks she is wrong somewhere….."
Rathod balled his fist and banged the table "B*****D! Aur usski behen?? Woh kya andhi hai???"
Aisha: andhi toh hai! apne pati pe andha vishwas karthi hai sir….aur woh iss baat ko kabhi nahi maanegi…..kyun ki usski saamne Kunal isse apne choti behen jaise, apne beti jaise treat kartha hai…..choti umar se hi Narmadha apne behen aur jeeju ke saath hi rehthi hai….so she is more like a daughter to them….…..par ab kuch dinon se Kunal ke attitude bathla hai! shaayad Narmadha ke ….[she stops midway and looks at the team meaning "you know what I mean"] issko daraatha phirtha hai aur she has become a bit hysterical now! Bohat khoshish karne ke baadh hi yeh sab keh paayi mujhse……aur uss park se aane se bhi inkaar kar rahi……maine badi mushkil se usse samjhaakar yahaan laayi hoom….[looking at her] Poor girl! Humein kuch karna padega sir…we need to help her!
Rathod: usske behen ko bulaavo…main baat kartha hoom……
Arjun: nahi Rathod…..jab tak humaare paas koyi saboot nahi hai, hum kitna bhi khoshish karle, woh apni pati ko hi sach maanegi….waise bhi, uss jaanvar ko sazaa dilwaana hai……he is not to be spared!
Aisha nodded "yes sir, usse maafi nahi sazaa dena chahiye…..iss bechaari ka kya galthi thi? Aur waise bhi kya guarantee hai ke woh phirse aisa kuch nahi karega….we need to expose him to his wife and also frame him in an inscrutable case Sir!"
Rathod: main tum dono ka baaat samajhtha hoom…..par ETF iss case ko officially handle nahi kar sakthi kyun ki koyi crime hua hi nahi hai…..iss ladki ki haalaat dekh kar mujhe toh yakeen hai ke yeh sach bol rahi hai par uss Kunal ko sazaa nahi dilwaa sakthe…..
Arjun: tum sahi keh rahe ho Rathod…..crime hone se pehle usse rokhne ka ek chance milaa hai….toh peeche nahi hatt sakthe!
Chotu: haan sir, woh isse paagal ya jhooti kehke bacch saktha hai!
Shree: koyi loophole ke bina case frame karna hai Sir…..kisi bhi haal pe bachhna nahi chahiye!
Arjun: [after thinking deeply] ek plan hai……humein usske raste chalkhe hi yeh sab karna padega….par kya woh bacchi yeh kar paayegi? [He briefs the plan to the team and Rathod nods]
Rathod: Aisha, tum jaakhe baat karlo usse…..
Aisha: [nodding] mushkil toh hai…..par main baat karthi hoom…..
After a few minutes…..Aisha comes back to the conf table where the team is in deep discussion about the other arms smuggling case which Rathod and Chotu are handling….its almost in its final stages…..And Aisha and Arjun are supposed to join them as the Nikhil murder case is solved now!
Arjun looks up first stopping his pen trick for a moment…"kya hua?? Ussne kya kahaa??"
Arjun was surely moved by the girl's state and anyone could make it from his face!
Aisha: no luck sir…..she isnt up for it….woh kehthi hai ke woh kabhi ghar nahi jaayegi! She is damn scared!
Rathod: waise hum usse aise haalaat mein force bhi nahi kar sakthe….she might mess up big time! Kuch aur sochna hoga!
Aisha: ek aur plan hai…..
All looked to her face in anticipation of what was running in her mind………..
That night…..
Arjun and Aisha were off to Narmadha's house…..The fight that they had last night was running in both minds even though they wanted to do away with it……
The previous arguments had literally heated up leaving them in a state of negativity towards each other….The case and especially the empathy that both equally shared towards the little girl had brought them together again….And a compromise in handling the case due to their personal dislikes to each other or negative equations wasn't acceptable to both of them!
Meanwhile, Shree and Rathod were off to Ganga's office to speak to her and make her realize the truth!
Arjun spoke up first "tum sure ho na? kya tum yeh karna chahthi ho?? I mean we can plan something else too"
Aisha turned to him rolling her eyes "aap ab kyun pooch rahe hai? aap ko shaq hai?? I mean do u have a doubt if I will be able to do it???"
Arjun: [flaring up]tum harr baat ka galath matlab kyun lethi ho? main bas confirm kar raha tha kyun ki mujhe iss plan mein koyi bhi galthi nahi chahiye…[stressing the last part]
Aisha: [sternly] nahi hogi galthi…yeh case ka solve karna aap se zyaadha meri responsibility hai…..aur waise bhi Aisha ke plans aur missions kabhi fail nahi hote jab tak koyi bina matlab ke ussme taang nahi dhaaltha….
Arjun turned to her glaring knowing exactly what she meant by that….
As he parked the SUV a little far away from the place, he verified some details of the plans with her!
Arjun: uss ghar mein kaise ghussne waali ho?
Aisha: Narmadha ne bathaaya ke usski behen humesha ghar ki chaavi door mat ke andhar rakhthi hai……Kunal nau baje se pehle ghar nahi aatha…..So I guess it would be easy to get in….
Arjun: Shree ka diya hua microphone hai na tumaare paas….usse full time on rakhna….its important for the recording tooo….koyi problem ho toh immediately mujhe call karna…main ghar ke baahar hi aas paas hoom!
Aisha: [a bit irritated with his over cautious ways] ok fine!
[Arjun was indeed a bit over cautious this time…..he didn't know the reason too….may be his intuition was telling something more than the expected!]
As Aisha stepped out of the SUV, he called her once again "Aisha."
Aisha turned back "yes sir.."
Arjun: [silent for a second] take care!
Aisha just nodded and walked to the house…..
It was an hour since Aisha went in and almost half an hour ago, Arjun had seen Kunal also going into the house…..
Arjun was continuously hearing what was happening there….It was time for the last step and Aisha wasnt responding and even when he spoke up, she didn't reply………….he impatiently paced down the pathway "na jaane yeh Aisha kya kar rahi hai! ab toh mujhe andhar jaana hi padega! Aisha, tumaare mission pe taang dhaalna nahi chahtha par…[thinking for a moment]…. But I cant wait any longer!"
