He looked at Mala, she smiled understandingly.

Shyla had woken up hearing Adrit's voice.

She lay still listening.

She heard the respect with which he spoke to both Ma and papa.

She smiled.

Her throat felt parched. She reached for the glass kept on the side table.

It fell with a clatter.

Adrit was almost immediately beside her.

You should have called Shyla he chided.

Be ready early tomorrow morning, going to take you to the hospital.

He left after seeing that she had her soup and taken the medicines.
