Chapter 14A: Dheere Se Meri Zindagi Mein Aanaa...

She nodded and replied "haan sir…..main teek hoom" and before he spoke up, she sensed what he would say now and replied "sir se Arjun tak thoda time lagega but I am trying hard….."

He nodded with a smile…she smiled back too….it was a genuine smile from her and there was a slight twinkle in her eyes too…..perhaps her queen fairy had done some magic on her! Afterall Riya was her most favorite daughter!

He was confident that the day would come soon…..and he could see her sincere efforts in her words….she was really trying hard to come around…All she needed was time!

The flight landed on time….they headed straight to ETF as Arjun insisted on it…..and Riya had no reason to refuse……

As the entered, there was a pin drop silence and the office appeared empty…..

But the moment stepped in, glitters fell on them….as if the sky showered the blessings and wishes in the form golden stars and moons…

Arjun had secretly informed the team about their exact time of arrival and everything went according to their plans surprising Riya pleasantly!

Once the initial round of wishing them from all the ETF staff and team is over……Riya had a few boquets in her hands which was given to her by the staff…..Shree took a few cute pictures of the smiling Riya with her Arjun Sir!

She looked like a flower herself holding them...Chotu and Shree had a gala time making fun of her phoolon ka dhukaan...She couldnt help laugh out at their mocks and funny antics!

Shree seemed the happiest today because he had seen his best friend smiling genuinely after such a long long time!

It was almost lunch time when they had reached…so the team was planning a lunch outing together…..

Before that, all get back to the work which needed their attention……There wasn't a new case yet….so the back log work from the previous cases were the only work to be completed……

And Arjun summons Shree to his cabin right away….

"Shree, Suraj ke baare mein sab information collect karo….usska bank statements, financial transactions, usska business dealings, friends and social circle…..sab kuch chahiye mujhe…..kuch toh milega usske khilaaf inn sab information se"

Shree was confused as to why Arjun wanted such details about Suraj…

Sensing his confusion, Arjun adds "kuch hi dinon mein Riya aur Suraj ke divorce ka final hearing hai…..Suraj ne filhaal Riya ko divorce dene keliye agree kiya hai usske parents ke pressure ke wajeh se…..but I don't trust him……He may bring up problems again…aise aasaani se divorce nahi dega….zaroor kuch na kuch gadbad karega……isiliye I want to be fully prepared for him Shree…..kisi bhi haal mein woh ab dobaara Riya ko pareshan nahi karna chahiye….."

Shree nodded and assured that he would do the needful as soon as possible…"yes sir….main abi kaam pe lag jaatha hoom"

Arjun called him back, "usska phone harr waqt tracker pe rakhna….agar woh humaare khilaaf kuch plan kartha hai, then I need to know it immediately…..

Aur haan inn sab ke baare mein Riya se kuch matth kehna…..i don't want her to worry about all this…."

Shree nodded and left….

Soon they headed out to a nearby restaurant, a favorite hang out of ETF…..and yes, it was a favourite place of Shree, Riya and Chotu as well…..

Arjun and Riya didn't get much private time to talk after that due to obvious reasons…

Riya was busy with Shree and Chotu and or rather, they weren't sparing one chance of taunting her for the secret engagement with Arjun sir!

That night, all started leaving for home sooner……

Shree was the first to step out but he didn't waste a chance of teasing Riya….

Arjun was in his cabin as usual……Riya was in her desk hoping that Arjun would step out soon and offer to drop her….

Shree voiced, "Ri….shaayad Arjun sir busy hai….main tumhe drop kardetha hoom……chalo chalo"

Riya looked at Shree and enquired, "kya baat hai Shree?? Aaj kuch zyaadha hi fikhar hai apni friend ki, haan?"

Shree: dekhaa……tumne bhi galat soch liya…..dhoston ke fikhar toh harr waqt hai par kya karein, koyi mujhe seriously nahi letha na?

Riya: [patting him consolingly] main humesha tumhe seriously lethi hoom Shree….come, lets go…..

Much to Shree's surprise, Riya smiles and gathers her things and prepares to leave with him…..

He didn't expect that much from Riya….he thought, she would make false excuses to stay back and go with Arjun…..

As they are just about to leave, Arjun steps out and calls Shree…..

"Shree….yeh saare phone numbers ke call records chahiye mujhe…..its urgent.."

Seeing Shree's hesitation to come back and also noticing Riya behind him, Arjun continues, "Riya tum ghar jaa rahi ho na?? main tumhe drop kartha hoom…..waise bhi ab Shree ko kaam hai aur usse nikhalne mein dher hogi.."

Shree frowns first and mutters under his breath to Riya "lo….tumhe drop karne ke baare mein socha toh mujhe over time mil gayi…kahaan phas gaya yaar"

Riya chuckles and pats him to go and start his work!

Shree goes back to his desk reluctantly while Riya and Arjun leave...

Shree speaks to himself, "jo bhi hai, tumne phir se humaare Ri banne ki khoshish toh shuru kiya…..thats all I want Riya.."

Yeah, in those few moments, she was behaving like she used to be earlier……friendly, casual and cool…..

"toh aaj enjoy kiya?"

Arjun enquired breaking the silence as they drive along…..

Riya nodded, "hmm….bohat accha laga…..aur aisa laga ke main ek lambe break ke baadh aaj hi ETF aayi hoom…"

Arjun: [understands what she meant but just plays along] we were away for just 2 days Riya…..

Riya frowns and replies, "You know what I mean……"

Arjun nods with a smile….

He pulls up the SUV near her place…..She turns to him before getting down, "aap chaaho toh dinner karke…..

Arjun: [snapping her short] nahi Riya...aaj nahi…..phir kabhi….

Riya slowly voices, "aap lodge jaa rahe hai na?"

Arjun: haan….wahi se kuch khaa loonga…..dont worry!

Riya: [slowly gathering up courage as she is a bit scared of his reaction] aap ko lodge se waapas ghar shift karne ke baare mein sochna chahiye sir…

Arjun was silent for a long moment but then he turned to her and voiced out calmly...

Arjun: haan karenge…..humaare shaadi ke baadh ek saath shift honge Riya……tab tak…

Riya snaps him short now…"main uss ghar ko dekhna chahthi hoom…..shaadi se pehle uss ghar mein jaana chahthi hoom…..jaan na chahthi hoom….aapke saat wahaan waqt bithaana chahthi hoom…….kya aap mujhe wahaan le chalenge??"

Arjun smiles and nods at her request…"hmmm……jaldi hi chalenge….."

Saying that, he leaned forward to her and hugged her warmly…..

He didn't know why he did that but it felt good….to him….and yes to her as well…..He parted and kissed her forehead "Good night Riya…."

Riya smiles and bids bye before walking off….

Arjun ensures that she is in her house safely and drives off…He was happy that Riya was taking baby steps towards being normal in their relationship….he was also happy about how she wished to see his home….their home…..he was already ecstatic thinking about a life with Riya there…….

Days move on and Shree had collected so much of information about Suraj…..there were many things which many didn't know about him and which could prove helpful in case he creates problems in the divorce…

Arjun was now confident that there would be no problem in getting it from him and freeing Riya from his clutches forever!
