Chapter 5B: Tu Jahaan Main Wahaan…..hokhe tera aasmaan
Arjun: ek baar mujhse kehthi…..
Riya: [giving a false smile] kya kehthi??[Looking at him, their eyes locking for a moment] jisse pyar kiya woh ek baar bhi mudhkar nahi dekha [turning away the next instant] aur jissne pyar ka vaadha kiya, usse toh sirf ek nashaa…ek madhoshi chadhi thi….aur main bevakoof ki tarah usi ko pyar samajhkar….[she couldn't complete her sentence as her throat dried up and her eyes filled with unshed tears]
She unlocked the door manually and got down….and he couldn't say or do anything to hold her back…..He felt shattered too…..He knew that no amount of consoling could heal her wounds at the moment….

Rathod had seen the SUV coming in and he came to the portico and saw Riya walking in…..She had tears in her eyes but he saw her quickly wiping them off and a weak smile appeared on her lips as soon as she noticed him…..
Rathod smiled back at her pleasantly "Welcome Riya!"
He didn't want to dig into the reasons for her tears….he had already guessed what the reason was!
He had sent Arjun to pick her up to give them the much needed time and space to be together and such brief meetings could go a long way and make a big difference in their relationship….
As Riya came closer she enquired about Chotu and Shree…..
Rathod: andhar hai….jaao millo….
Riya went into the hotel while Rathod went out in search of Arjun….What was delaying him? He saw him locking the SUV and walking in…he looked disturbed too…..
Rathod enquired "Riya ko kya hua?? Aur tum bhi kuch disturbed lag rahe ho?? sab teek hai na?"
Arjun:[hesitantly] woh actually…..Suraj…
Rathod: [shocked at the mention of his name] SURAJ?? ab ussne kya kiya??
Arjun: [shocked at that] matlab?? Tum jaanthe ho ke??
Rathod: [hesitantly nods] hmm….jaantha hoom par isske aage kuch bhi matth poochna…..I really cant reveal anything more….Riya se promise kiya tha ke main tumse kuch nahi kahoonga….majbhoor hoom…..
Arjun nodded, "kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai Rathod…..mujhe sab kuch saaf saaf dikh raha hai!"
Rathod: Riya bohat akeli padh gayi hai Rawte…usse hum sab ki khaas kar tumaari zaroorat hai! Woh kabhi nahi kahegi but I know woh ab bhi bohat pyar karthi hai tumse…..
Arjun was stunned at that direct reply from Rathod…while he continued…."uske yeh indifference, yeh behrukhi sab kuch usski pyar hi hai Rawte……woh tumse nahi balkhe apne aapse, apne zindagi se naaraaz hai! apne kismat pe naaraaz hai! ab tumhe hi usse sambaalna hoga….."
There was a silence suddenly…..
A few seconds later, Rathod spoke up again "chalo….andhar chalthe hai….mujhe kuch happy news share karni hai tum sab se!"
Saying so, Rathod turned and went inside…….When Rathod's words sunk in deep into him, Arjun snapped out and walked in…..
Party was buzzing with the people from the entire ETF office…All were enjoying to the fullest…..Party songs rocked the entire space…
His eyes scanned the crowd for just a glimpse of her…..he had given up hope when he spotted her in a corner with Shree and Chotu…..He was relieved when he saw her smiling to their funny talks…..She was indeed lucky to have such friends! He heaved a sigh of relief!
The party took him back in time by a few years…..To be precise, the day when they had solved the Jaipur case and brought back Suraj's father safely…..A very royal confidante, the king's closest guy "Balraj Singh" was behind the whole kidnapping act! He had hid the king in the palace itself where none could ever trace out….In the secret hideout which were used in times of a battle!! Nobody even knew the way to get in there…..But as they say, no culprit can escape the clutches of law at all times…..No matter what, he leaves a clue behind and the truth eventually comes out……
In this case, Arjun had a gut feeling about who the person could be and he was continuously tracking him……But Arjun knew that killing the king was never part of his plan….Balraj had kept the king safe and sound…..providing him with all what he required…..Whatever it was, it was a crime and it eventually had to come out…..the king, Vanraj was rescued and brought out and Balraj surrendered too…..He confessed to having done it but he didn't tell a reason for that……It was assumed that the royal wealth was the reason and he had a evil eye on that! He was arrested and sent to jail!
The whole royal family was happy and Suraj immediately called for a party and insisted that the ETF stayed for the evening's party! Though Arjun wasn't interested one bit to stay there longer, Rathod forced him to stay….
As always, Riya, Chotu and Shree were overexcited about the party…..Riya had looked her best that day! That party not only made heads turn to her side but also proved the turning point in her life….and of course Arjun's!
For the first time, Arjun felt a pain in his heart when he saw her in his arms swaying for the soft music!
Arjun had turned away from the sight and walked to a distance from where everything seemed blurred…..The distance and also the tear drop in his eyes which refused to roll out made his vision blurred…..He could see that this was just the beginning of her going away from him and as always he was right! Suraj proposed to her the very next day before they left Jaipur!
She didn't reply to Suraj…..She just walked away after hearing out what he said….
Riya didn't tell anyone about the proposal…..She looked upset and deep in thoughts for the whole journey but she never once discussed it with anyone in the team…not even Shree or Chotu!
Everything seemed to fade out with time and ETF was busy as usual with the subsequent cases….but Suraj hadn't planned to leave it just like that….He had tracked down Riya's family and sent an official marriage proposal to them asking her hand….it was something which all parents dream of…..making their daughter live happily ever after like a princess….and when they saw their dream was coming true, they obviously pressurized Riya for it….

Riya's thoughts weren't any far away…they were also struck somewhere in the same place as Arjun's…She was thinking about the party at Jaipur, and then the dance with Suraj…..All along the evening, she was hoping and wishing for Arjun to ask her for a dance but he didn't even look once at her…..Leave alone dancing, a smile, a look……..all were scarce from his side! Even when Suraj asked her for the dance, she kept looking at his direction hoping that he would step forward but he did the most unexpected….he kept talking into the phone as if nothing bothered him and then she saw him walking off to the door!
Then came the most unexpected, Suraj's proposal which would be any girl's ultimate dream….He couldn't have been more perfect! Riya smirked now as she got reminded of the confession part! She had hoped to hear that from someone whom she loved and it came from a totally different person! She faintly smiled at the irony!
The only guy whom she could ever love, her first love, the guy who taught her what love was….but he could never reciprocate her love….She felt that he never wished to move on from his first love….his Roshni! And she decided to move on and atleast make her parents, her family happy! What was the point in waiting for someone indefinitely and punishing her family for no fault of theirs??

Both Arjun and Riya snapped out of their thoughts when Rathod spoke up through the mike…
"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! Hope you are all enjoying the evening….I just want 5 mins of your time……mujhe kuch batein, ofcourse good news share karni hai...[smiling or was it a blush….he spoke up in a casual tone]
Jaldi mere liye ek chief aane waali hai…..samjhe nahi na? mere single status mujhse cheen gayi hai! [Calls out loudly] Sonali, aa jaavo….[a pretty lady in a peach designer saree walks in smiling….Sameer puts an arm around her shoulder and holds her close to him]….yeh Sonali, jo mere life partner banne waali hai…..ab kuch dinon mein humaari shaadi hone waali hai….
[smiling and looking at the stunned faces around him]
pathaa hai patha hai ke mere team ko badaa jhatka lagaa…..mujhe bhi jhatka lagaa tha jab mere family ne yeh sab achaanak mere saamne rakhaa…….par phir, jab hum miley, toh phir kuch…..[both look at each other and smile sharing a cute romantic eye lock and Sameer's words just trail off…..All clap hearing the news….Arjun, Riya, Shree and Chotu are super excited to hear it and are very happy for their chief…..the loud applause snaps Sameer out and he continues after freeing Sonali from his hold]….Ab dhoosra waala news jo accha hai ya nahi yeh mera team khaas karke Arjun decide karega….."
All look at him with anticipation…..
"Main waapas Mumbai ETF join karne waala hoom…..its a personal decision and yes, the department has agreed to it too….aaj subah hi orders miley hai……Arjun tumhe koyi problem nahi hai na?"
Arjun walks to him and hugs him "kaise baat kar rahe ho Rathod??…..hum sab ne isi din ka toh wait kiya tha! [he adds sarcastically] Welcome back SIR!"
Shree, Chotu and Riya also walk up to Sameer and Sonali….they all congratulate them…..
Shree: Rathod sir hum sab ne aapko bohat miss kiya….
Chotu: khaas karke aapke dammit ko Shree ne bohat miss kiya…..hai na Shree??
They continue their nhok jhok and introduction session for a few more minutes…..
Then all scatter away for the party….Rathod and Sonali start dancing as they are the star couple of the party!
Arjun walks to Riya but she keeps walking away trying to avoid him……He wants to speak to her, comfort her and ease her of her worries but…..
He wishes to ask her for the dance but as if reading his thoughts, she never gives him a chance to do that!
