Chapter 5A: Yeh dil roye tere liye….
Suraj: [not giving up and in a flirting tone] tumaare isi andaaz pe fidha hua teh hum jaan-e-mann…aur isiliye main tumhe ek aur maukha dene ko thayaar bhi hoom…par tum ho ki maanthi hi nahi! Chup chaap aa jaavo na waapas mere paas [trying to hug her….she tries to escape his clutches and glares at him]
Riya: SURAJ…..DONT EVEN TRY THAT! Tumaare ghande haathon se mujhe choohna bhi matth…..just get out from here……
But he smirks again and tries to advance towards her and before he could lay his hands on her, he feels a strong pair of arms on his shoulders "SOCHNA BHI MATTH!"
Came a thundering voice from behind him……..Riya leaned and looked behind Suraj….."ARJUN SIR!" Riya gasped in shock!

An hour back……Rathod calls up Arjun "Rawte, main Riya ko pick karne waala tha but I am struck with the party preparation…..CHotu aur Shree kuch kaam mein busy hai…..kya tum usse ghar se pick karoge?
Arjun thought for a second before replying "hmmm!"

Present….Suraj turned back with his devilish eyes darting from the strong hand on his shoulder to the source of the voice….the man who stood behind him in a black suit…his blood shot eyes enough to scare anybody and the voice capable of setting him on fire!
But Suraj looked undeterred and smirked at him…."aaah aah….Mr Arjun Rawte, right? See, I indeed have an amazing memory!" [turning back to Riya] "Sweetheart, tumne bathaaya nahi ke tumaari iss aashiq bhi aane waala hai….oh yeah, I forgot….tum aise sajh dajh kar isika toh intezaar kar rahe ho na? ooops…main kabaab mein haddi bann gaya na?
Waise ACP, Riya ab bhi mere legally wedded wife hai…..kuch din aur rukh jaathe dude…phir yeh sab ishq vishq karthe…[turning to Riya and clenching his jaws]..Sharam nahi aathi tumhe?? Ek hi time pe itne mard ke saath…divorce abhi hui nahi aur tum isske saath??…aur tum mujhe cheap keh rahi ho???
Arjun scowled "khabardaar agar Riya ke baare mein ek bhi shabd galath bola tho….
Suraj snapped him "tho??? tho kya karoge ACP??? Kya galath kaha maine…..main toh humesha se hi jaantha tha ke tum dono ko beech kuch toh hai…."
Riya: [coming in between them] Sir plzzz….aap yahaan se jaahiye….main handle karlungi….
Arjun: [glaring at her and slowly pushing her to the side] chup raho Riya….maine dekha kaun kisko handle kar raha tha….isse main baath karlunga…..
Arjun: [challenging him] agar patha tha tho kyun shaadi kiya Riya se??
Suraj: [gliding his fingers on her smooth cheeks…Riya turns away from his side in disgust while Arjun grabs his hand stopping him from doing that] Aur kya kartha? isski jawaani aur khubsoorathi ka bhoot toh sawaar tha……shaadi karni hi padaa….warna yeh tho koyi sati savithri bannke ghoom rahi thi…..mujhe shaadi ke behair choone bhi bahi dehthi……hai na Sweetheart??
Arjun's anger knew no bounds "how dare he speaks like that about Riya?" he twists Suraj's hand and holds it against this back and in a threatening voice "aaj ke baadh usse choona tho dhoor, agar tumaare ghande aankhon se usski orr dekha toh mujhse bhura koyi nahi hoga…..Aur haan usske aas paas batakhna bhi matth!
Suraj: whoa whoa…chill dude…..itna ghussaa teek nahi…..Riya meri biwi hai aur ek dho mahiney tak biwi hi rahegi…..usse dhoor rehne ko kehne waala tum kaun hote ho???
Riya pitches in again "Sir, plsss usse chod dijiye…..and just go away from here…pls sir!
Arjun didn't stop at that, he tightened his twisting grip further which pained Suraj and he let out a scream "Ouch! That hurt"….
Arjun spoke up again "main kaun hoom,yeh ab important nahi hai….tumaare liye bas yeh jaan na zaroori hai ke main kya kya kar saktha hoom…..Riya ko ek baar toh tumne chot paunchaahiye….agar ek aur baar himmat kiya toh iss ghande mooh ko goliyon se barr dhoonga….Samjhe ya samjhaavum?
Suraj didn't stop "agar mujhe challenge karoge toh pachthaavoge ACP! Main kuch bhi kar saktha hoom"
Arjun: [smirking and twisting his arm and crushing his fingers further that its on the verge of breaking….Suraj yells a bit at that] aur ek baar dhamki dhoge…..woh kya hai na….aise dhamkiyon se mera strength aur bhi badh jaatha hai!
Riya grabbed Arjun's hand and pulled him "chod dijiye plsss….for god's sake!"
Arjun's clutch on Suraj's hand loosened and he let him go seeing Riya's pleading eyes….
Riya then turned to Suraj "ab tum yahaan se nikhal jaao…..hum ab seedha court mein milenge…usske pehle mujhse milne ki khoshish bhi matth karna…"
Suraj straightened his suit and left after glaring at Arjun and Riya………Riya sat down on the sofa totally shattered and broken…but she didn't have tears in her eyes…..Arjun gave her a glass of water and just let her be….after that he stood hands crossed against his chest near the door waiting patiently for her to speak….He knew she would take time to gather herself after what had happened!
After a few moments of silence and composing herself, Riya stood up….she went into the room and touched up her light make up and pinned up her hair in a bun…she never let her hair free or tied a pony tail these days.…..
She then made sure that her outfit looked fine and came out….."Chalthe hai Sir!"
Arjun turned to her, his eyes filled with just questions "tum chaaho toh party ko skip kar sakthe ho…..main Rathod ko samjhaadunga"
Riya: [sternly] nahi….I wish to go to the party! Aapko chalna hai toh chaliye warna main khud chali jaavungi!
Arjun: [totally confused at her indifferent behavior] hmm….chalo….
The drive to the party was silent but their hearts were crying, sobbing and longing to be with each other…though it couldn't fight back their logical minds and gain victory, it still struggled desperately to win over!
Riya had never wanted any of these to come before him in such an ugly showdown….She never wanted him to know the real sorrowful state of her wedding…
She would have preferred to keep it under wraps for as long as possible…..She felt embarrassed to face him after what just happened…..So she looked away from him and kept looking out through the window pane!
And Arjun, having seen a glimpse of her wedded life was feeling guilty of having pushed her into such a dreadful life….. All along, he had felt that she was happy in her life with Suraj and remained away from her just for her blissful life but her life was far from happy….She was leading such a horrible life….He blamed himself for that……What had he thought when he let her go away from his life and what had really happened….He thought that with Suraj, she would be lead a perfect life filled with just love and happiness….a life that he, himself could never promise to her….a life with absolutely no comparisons!…… but Suraj's talk, few minutes before had given him answers to how her life would have been so far! He had been a fool to have entrusted her life in such dirty hands! His blood boiled with rage….he was angry with himself ….He felt he was no better than Suraj…..He and Suraj, the two men in her life together were responsible for her sorrows!!
For the second time in his entire life, he felt he had faltered and messed up big time! He failed once when he couldn't save his first love, his Roshni……and then Riya, he had literally pushed her into a life filled with pain and miseries…..
He wished he had made an attempt to snatch her from that dirty guy long back…both their lives would have been happy and blissful…. …he knew it was no use thinking about it now…..the damage was already done but he swore to himself that he would definitely bring her back and fill her dark life with lots of sunshine!
Arjun wanted to ask her a lot of things for which he already knew the answers but he wanted to speak to her…know from her….then comfort her….lend her his shoulders to lean on and cry….and do away with all the pain that was suffocating her like hell which more painful than death…..
She wasn't crying…she was trying to suppress everything within her little heart….he couldn't bear the feeling that her heart was crying…his heart ached realizing her state! He felt hot tears rolling out of his own eyes….
As they reached the party venue, he parked the car but didn't turn off the ignition nor did he unlock the doors…..She turned to him for the first time during the entire drive as if asking him to unlock the doors
Arjun finally spoke up "tumne kabhi nahi bathaaya ke Suraj…."
She snapped him midway "kya farq padtha hai Sir??"
Arjun: [his voice cracking up and his eyes showing concern for her] farq padtha hai Riya…..tumaare life se mujhe farq padtha hai!
Riya:[turning to him and sarcastically] acchaa….jab farq padhna chahiye tha tab toh aap kahi dikhe nahi…..[letting out a deep sigh and in a lost out tone]khair….shaayad yahi meri kismat mein thi…..koyi kya kar saktha hai?
Arjun: ek baar mujhse kehthi…..
Riya: [giving a false smile] kya kehthi??[Looking at him, their eyes locking for a moment] jisse pyar kiya woh ek baar bhi mudhkar nahi dekha [turning away the next instant] aur jissne pyar ka vaadha kiya, usse toh sirf ek nashaa…ek madhoshi chadhi thi….aur main bevakoof ki tarah usi ko pyar samajhkar….[she couldn't complete her sentence as her throat dried up and her eyes filled with unshed tears]
She unlocked the door manually and got down….and he couldn't say or do anything to hold her back…..He felt shattered too…..He knew that no amount of consoling could heal her wounds at the moment….
