Lovely update K! Khushi never fails to amaze me. In spite of being in this quandary, she is trying her best to stay calm and support her husband through this difficult time.
The entire Raizada family is going through such harrowing times, thanks to Arjun. I know that divorce is still considered a taboo in an Indian society and having to grow up without a father is no mean task for a child, but if I were in Indira's shoes, I would have walked out of this marriage by now. There is only that much a woman can take. We are always taught to be patient and forgiving, to look beyond our man's mistakes for the sake of our children, to hold back our tears in public and only shed them in the privacy of our bedroom, so on and so forth. But what about our self respect, our sense of self worth, our sanity? Why does a woman's feelings have to be trampled on to maintain this facade of a happy family? Indira is hurting from years of ill treatment in the hands of her husband. I think she will be a happier woman and a better mother if she leaves Arjun. If I am miserable, how can I make someone else happy? According to me, this whole concept of gulping down your miseries to keep your child's picture of a perfect family intact, is flawed. Children are more perceptive than what we give them credit for. Sooner or later Avani will realize that all is not well between her parents and she will also get to know about her father's misdeeds. How long can they keep everything under the carpet? A politician's life is always under strict public scrutiny. Arjun is such a sorry excuse of a man! He is not worth Indira's sacrifices. She has had enough. I think its time to move on. These so called 'illustrious' families and their misplaced sense of pride - pathetic!
