Chapter 3
As taani took out her care and started driving she remembered few things her mom had told her to pick up on the way! She stopped by at the grocery store, ran in quickly as it was raining and started to buy things that she recalled! Finishing quickly she went and groaned after watching the long que at the biling counter.She joined the list of people who were equally irritated by the receptonist's slow work. Finally after waiting for few minutes her number came. Greeting the receptionist with a smile she took her belongings with her and ran to her car. As she drove away from the grocery store she noticed a car standing on the side of the road which had its indicators on. She thought of asking what the matter was. So, she paused next t the car and pressed the horn loud enogh to hear.
(Hearing the sound) A guy came out from behnd the car's bonnet and walked up to the passenger side window and peeped in.
Taani- Hey, what happened? It seems your car broke!
Guy2- Yea I guess some problem with the engine.
Taani- You need some help? I can give you the garage owner's no.
Guy2- Uh..no thanks. I guess its very dark and its also raining so it wouldn't be nice to call a guy down here at this time. But there is something else you can do to help.
Taani- yea say.
Guy2- maybe if you are going to queensway park can you drop me there?
Taani- Yes sure come in. I live in queensway park.
Guy2- Oh nice. Thanks I'll just brng my bags.
After bringing his bags he hopped on to the front seat.
Taani- I am Taani btw. Taani Shikawat.
Guy2- Oh hi Taani. I am Rey, Reyaansh Singhania.
Taani- (smiles) hi rey! So you here in lonavala on business?
Rey- No I just shifted here. I am working on a development project for my company so they have posted me here.
Taani- That's nice.
Rey- yes.. and you? you a native over here?
Taani- No! me and my family shifted here ten years ago. Earlier we were in US.
Rey- oh now we have two things in comman! *hi fi*
Taani- two?
Rey- yea one we both live in queensway park and two we both were living in US earlier.
Taani- (laughs)
Rey- (staring at her) blurts out- you look beautiful!
Taani- (shocked) sorry? did u say something?
Rey-(coming back to his senses) uh no.. nothing.
Taani thinks ( wierd guy) and Rey thinks (control dude, its not US that you start flirting at one go)
For rest of the ride they discuss the famous places in lonavala and other things.
Taani- So here we are at queensway park. Which house do you stay at?
Rey- I don't knw. Wait i'll just check. (He takes out his phone and reads the address out loud)

Taani- (Smiles) Now we have three things in comman.
Rey- Wait! Don't tell me you have the same address. Because then we would be roommates or housemates.
Taani- (laughing) no I meant that my house is just next door to you.
Rey- Woah. now we are neighbour's!
Taani- yes! So here you go. That's your house.
Rey- And that's your.
Taani- Ok then goodnight!
Rey- Yea goodnight and thanks for dropping me.
Taani- Anytime!
Rey- sweet..
Rey starts to walk towards hs door and taani parks her car in the driveway. She gets out and due to the rain falls down. Watching her fall Rey rushes over to her help.
Rey- Omg, are u ok Taani?
Taani- Yes its my fav passtime to fall down. I do this daily.
Rey- Huh?
Taani- dumbo ofcourse I am NOT ok! I fell down you see.
Rey- oh.. yea I thought for a second you wre serious about the passtime thing!
Taani- Now would you help me up atleast?
Rey- Oh! Yea I am sorry I totally forgot.
He forwards his hand towards Taani to help her get up. But since she hit a stone her ankle is sprained and she can't get up.
Rey- Hey, do you plan to get up or not?
Taani- I can't. My leg.. its paining.
Rey- Oh.. umm. Wait.
He bends down and picks her up in his arms. Taani is shocked by this action of his ut as she needed the help, she agrees.
Rey carries her to her doorstep all the while staring down at the beauty in his arms he puts her down gently as if he is scared she'll break.
Taani rings her doorbell and this brings Rey back to his senses. He leaves her alone,goes to her car and carries her bags to her.
After this he walks of even before Taani can say thank you.
He rushes into her door and draws the curtains. He turns off the lights and peeps out checking if she has gone in safely. I f she fell or did it pain her much. As soon as Taani is out of his sighthe put on the lights and rests in his new house.
Meanwhile, here Taani is thinking about this new chemistry she had with Rey.
Taani- wait why am I thinking it as chemistry?! He was just helping me.
She thinks she is overthinking and changes and goes for dinner.
