Why can't I forget him?
Foram and Aarti were walking along the street, on their way to college. Foram was talking about something to Aarti. But Aarti was in her own world...
'You know what happened after that? You won't be able to Imagine Aarti! Just guess!' said Foram.
'Hmm...' replied Aarti. She had been uttering thst word whenever Foram asked her a question! Only her body - physically was present there at that moment. Her mind was lost in thoughts of Anant. She just kept thinking about him. She had been wanting to forgive him since long but didn't have the courage to go and talk to him. She was shy.
'Aarti!!!' shouted out Foram shaking Aarti's shoulder. Aarti suddenly came out of her dreamland on hearing Foram.
'What happened?' asked Aarti.
'What was I just talking about?' asked Foram.
'Umm...' replied Aaarti with shame. ' How did I start thinking about Anant? Why is this happening to me!?!!' thought Aarti.
'Tell me Aarti!' said Foram demanding an answer. ' Don't tell me you were thinking of..." The last few words faded off as Foram spoke. She realised what Aarti was thinking of. ' You S-T-I-L-L like him!!?!" asked Foram.
There was silence for a while.
'NOWAYS! I HATE him! You know that, don't you?' said Aarti.
'Close your eyes Aarti." said Foram.
"Why?" asked Aarti.
"Do as I say."
"Okay."
Aarti closed her eyes. The minute she closed it, she could see only one person, - Anant. She remembered the time when Anant had given her those chocolates.
Aarti immediately opened her eyes in unbelief.
'Whom did you see Aarti when you closed your eyes?" asked Foram.
Aarti's eyes grew wider and she remember what she saw.
"Tell me!" asked Foram again.
Aarti turned the other way round. With her back facing Foram she said, " NO-ONE. I didn't see anyone." said Aarti literally shouting. She hadn't faced Foram while saying so as she was a bad liar and that Foram would have easily detected her lie!
