CHAPTER SEVEN

Arjun sat on his bed, clasped his hands together and kept them on his lips, thinking. What have I really done! Riya is sleeping on the couch since that day I lost control on myself! Why didn't I notice!? She is scared of me?! I shouldn't have done that! I am her culprit! The way she got frightened when I kept her on the bed. The way she wriggled as if I was pinning her down! The fear in her eyes and the intensity of her fear.. Arjun remembered how she flinched away and tried to step away from him,then she was consoled instantly by my words that I wont hurt her, it was miraculous! She was assured instantly, her undying trust in me, her love for me, how can I pretend to have unseen it all! How? Riya! You don't know, this love is going to give the hurt only. If I love you, all you'll ever get will be hurt and pain! Please, Riya! Don't love me so much that I become compelled to love you back, hate me Riya, I am worth hating, not loving, hate me. So that if Sikandar comes, you will be able to walk out on me, hate me, hate me, HATE ME!

The commissioner, Dustin Coelho, came to meet Arjun in the hospital. Sikandar killed his family too once he was out from jail as Coelho was the incharge of the case. Coelho knew what was happening and he came to give Arjun full liberties. He told Arjun that he could do anything to find Sikandar. He was free. Coelho knew what Arjun has been through and hence gave him full permission to do whatever he wanted in order to find Sikandar alive or even dead. He told Arjun that he and his team will be working and concentrating solely in the mission in hand and no department will hinder or question them about anything. He will take care of the higher authorities.

"You have full liberty Arjun. Find him and your wife soon. The department is with you. Be alarmed and armed." He said as he introduced new guns to the ETF. "I cant be with you physically Arjun, I have responsibilities of the whole city on me. But I am with you. I promise to help in any order I can." Saying so he started to leave but the commissioner too couldn't hold his anger anymore, he turned to Arjun and said, "remember Arjun, you have to avenge my wife and daughter too. I will look after the city for his cruel plans and you look for him." Saying so he encouraged the whole team and gave Arjun all-he-can-do permission.

Arjun walked out of the hospital and the whole ETF followed. Arjun sat on the car and it zoomed off to the maze. Arjun wanted to see the place for clues.

Rathore took him to the place where Riya was lying. Arjun saw the place thoroughly but as he knew, Sik was too smart to leave any evidence behind.

When he was about to leave his phone rings.

"Hello." Said Arjun and knew it will be Sikandar.

"Well well, your friends are still with you! Nice. Did you tell them the truth or THE Arjun Rawte lied for the first time?!" teased Sik and Arjun clenched his teeth.

"I am sure you didn't call me to ask this. Save the chit-chat for the end, Sikandar." Said Arjun in his attitude.

"oooh! So attitude of THE Arjun back! Well, the helpless Arjun was no fun to play with either! I wanted some power in this game! Now I am excited!" said Sik as he laughed and Arjun closed his eyes as his laughter pierced his ears.

"Soon you will be dead too!" Arjun said, as his voice got determined.

"You wish!" Sik teased, "your ETF so likes to hinder in between my games, So here is the deal."

Arjun heard him keenly as he was already waiting for this, "speak up." Said Arjun and Sik laughed.

"I have kept your dear wife in a small tiny miny boat this time, so that you can find her easily and the boats are resting on the Juhu beach. And last time your nosey ETF hindered so lets include them too, or else Rathore is an angry kid there han!" saying so he laughed and Shree and Chotu's blood boiled as he continued to tease their seniors. "I have decided to play along too, so if you dint find her this time, I would be having her all by myself."

"DON'T YOU DARE!!" Said Arjun and his eyes popped out hearing him laugh again and that laugh was full of menace.

"You are not in the situation to dare me Rawte! And thank your god as I am not so touchy about words, coz if I was, I would have already - "

"Sikandar!" Arjun said hindering him from even saying it.

"Oh Rawte, its so easy to touch your weak point for me, you know. Be a tough guy now and find your Riya. Remember, it's the last time, the last 15 minutes. It's now or never for you dear hubby. Your wifey is scared and now I can't even keep her drugged for long, she can't handle the doses I give, save her from me Arjun! Just save her." Sik said faking a cry from her side, to tease and hurt him.

"Don't cry, Sikandar! I WILL!" Arjun said.

"Wait for my signal." and the phone went dead after Sik's laugh.

"Lets go, lets go, LETS GO!" said Arjun hurriedly and Rathore Shree and Chotu followed.

Arjun drove towards the juhu beach and reached there. The beach was so big and today it had numerous boats.

Arjun saw some people and guessed them to be the fishermen. They would need a boat to reach upto them. Boats were away from the shore. Soon Arjun gave a bundle of 500 rupees notes to a man and took his boat. While the fisherman drove Rathore, Shree, Chotu got into it and sailed to the numerous ones.

"There are hundreds of boats!" said Shree looking at the all-colorful boats infront of him, "how will we find her!"

"Just imagine Riya lying in one of them, you will know how." Said Arjun determined to find her.

"We are not going away from this place without taking her with us." said Rathore and Chotu nodded.

"For Riya! I will tear down each boat." Said Arjun and everyone nodded to him.

"You can't break our boats!" said the fisherman.

"Just watch me!" said Arjun challenging him. "I will pay you ten times your boats might cost!" said the prince inside Arjun, and his eyes said it all. The madness in them made the fisherman shiver in fear.

The fisherman heard him and tried to protest, "but - "

"I am not asking! And I am ready to pay you! Now don't compel me to use my powers." Said Arjun and his phone beeped.

It was a message, "your time starts NOW!"

Arjun stuffed the phone inside his pockets and nodded all of them to go.

The ETF got on the boats and started searching Riya. They climbed numerous boats and saw them, but no one was present in any of them. The juhu beach was so big and there were so many boats to search.

"There are so many! How will we know which boat we have checked and which not?" said Shree out loud to Rathore who was looking here and there terrified.

Hearing Shree's logical question an idea pooped into Arjun's mind.

Soon Rathore heard the firings of a gun. Shree and Chotu too looked at Arjun who was gone mad and was shooting the boats down. He was jumping to numerous boats and shot each one he climbed, then he jumped on another and shot it too. At first the fishermen and the ETF saw him like he is a mad person but then when Rathore saw the boats sinking, he knew what he was doing. Arjun was shooting down empty boats, as the bullets hit the surface it made a big fat whole in them, making them sink and hence, they will know which boats they have checked. He reloaded his gun and fired the bullets mercilessly on the poor boats. Rathore Shree and Chotu too understood what he was doing and did the same thing. They fired, reloaded, fired, reloaded and fired again! Soon many boats sank in. Rathore too jumped on the one and looked for Riya but there were no traces of her. They were running out of time and there were still many boats left.

Shree too stood up in one boat and fired all the empty boats he could see. He never hated any man so much but today he did. Sik was a sick player. And when they would catch him, he will shoot him the same way he was shooting the boats right now.

The bullets were running out and the boats were still the same. Arjun saw his watch and 11 minutes were left. He thanked god and reloaded his gun with a new magazine filled with bullets and kept on firing. The boats were taking time to sink also. Soon seeing the guns being fired in the open public, the people came and surrounded the place. They saw 4 men in mad state shooting on empty boats. The wives and family of the fishermen came out crying but the fishermen told them to shut up, it was ETF at work!

"Chotu give me new magazines!" Rathore said and Chotu took two from his pocket and threw in his direction. Rathore caught them and filled it in his gun.

The firings were taking place so badly that the people were frightened as to what these guys were up to.

Shree adjusted his glasses and took his gun firmly in his hand and took another one out from his bag and started firing as he thought they were running out of time to even change the magazines.

Arjun too took two guns in his hands and fired them blankly at the boats. But he made sure that he did not waste the bullets, they were precious right now.

Soon the boats started to sink down at once and became invisible in the darkness of the green water. Green color never scared him ever, but today he was scared. Maybe Riya was scared too, somewhere in the boats.

It was a chilly day of January but still Arjun was sweating. Not out of fear now, but out of anxiety. His instinct was telling him that something big and bad is going to happen and that will surely be related to Riya. He then cleaned his thoughts and looked at the team he had. They were too busy finding Riya too, just like him and they were too continuously firing their guns in order to find her.

After a minute or two, the boats sank and there were only half of them left. They hurried their work and Shree sailed to the shore, near the car to supply them with new magazines which were kept in the car. He stuffed the loaded magazines in his bag and sailed to Arjun and Rathore to give them.

"Shree!" said Chotu, as his bullets were over. Soon Chotu was rewarded with 4 new magazines and he too fastened his work.

Soon the firings were slowed and the boats sank in.

The firings were completely stopped and Arjun waited for a few seconds so that they sank, after wards Arjun saw only 4 boats sailing on the water with Rathore, Shree, Chotu and himself standing on it. He looked here and there to find Riya but there were no boats left!Where is she!?

"DAMNIT!!!" said Rathore in frustration. "We are tricked!" he said realizing that it was just a prank by Sik.

"I am so going to kill him." Said Chotu.

"He can't do this. Riya got to be here!" said Shree as he was on verge of crying. All this hard work, all this sink-the-boat-to-find-Riya was a PRANK!!

"He literally played with all of us!" said Chotu and Shree looked around again.

"He is so going to pay for this, I swear!" said Shree.

"AAAHHH!!!!" came an emotional outburst by Arjun as he kneeled on the boat he stood at. His eyes blinded with pure rage.

Arjun's phone beeped again and it was a message yet again by Sikandar, "Gotchya!"

Arjun in rage threw the phone on the boat and broke it into pieces.

"Rawte, are you gone mad!?" said Rathore as he saw him breaking his phone, the only media by which Sik contacts them and the only media by which he can be traced, maybe.

Rathore searched the boat to find his SIM card, he touched various broken pieces and found it in the corner.

He quickly took it and exchanged it from his, in his phone. After turning the phone on again he quickly received a call.

Rathore knew it would be him so he turned on the speaker.

"Hello?" came Sik's voice.

"Riya isn't here!! What do you want!?" asked an angry Rathore.

"Now you feel exactly how it feels to get cheated!"

" You F***ing Bas*ard!!" said Arjun angrily and got up from the boat.

"Rathore dint you tell your dear friend, that I don't like foul languages. I am a bit weak hearted you know." Said Sik and the smirk he had, could be heard in his voice.

"Wait for the day I rip that filthy heart of yours!" Said Arjun loosing control.

"And you think I will be enjoying the pleasure, Rawte?" he laughed at his own joke and suddenly became serious and said, "no Rawte! I wont be sitting still either! I will rip out the most precious thing out of your life! You know what I mean, right?!" and then laughed again.

"Laugh, Sikandar! Laugh as much as you want coz once I find you, I am so going to punch out your teeth."

"aww, that hurt! But don't worry your dear will pay for it." saying so he moved towards Riya and Arjun could hear his footsteps. And then a slap was heard.

"You filthy scum!!!" roared Arjun and Rathore held him, making him realize that his words may harm Riya more.

"Manners, Arjun. Manners count, you see. And now that you didn't find her, she is mine!" said Sikandar in his dirty tone.

"You wont touch her!!" Arjun said terrified.

"That was a suggestion or a remark, Rawte?" Sik said and suddenly a plane was heard near the place. As if it was just landing. Shree heard it and got excited, before he expressed his delight on getting a clue, Rathore stopped him too and to divert Sik's attention Rathore coughed as if they did not hear it.

"What happened? Tired already?" asked Sik.

"You wait and watch Sikandar, we will get a whole lot of energy once we find you!" saying so Rathore nodded to Shree to go and check about the planes landing right now and Shree sailed off.

"Find you, find you, find you! I am tired of hearing these things, you guys are good for nothing!"

"You will find out soon, what we are good at!" said Arjun and cut the call.

Soon they all reached the beach and got down from the boats. Arjun saw the wives of the fishermen crying, he went to them and gave them a card. "Go to this address tomorrow. You will get whatever you demand for." Said Arjun in his princely attitude and walked towards the car.

Shree was typing something furiously on the laptop and soon he turned.

"It was a flight from Delhi! It landed just 2 minutes ago."

Hearing so they got into the car and drove off.

"Call the police department and ask them to seal the airport and places near it! Quick! And announce a high alert in the name of a terrorist being spotted." said Rathore.

"But Rathore, it will create a panic!" said Arjun.

"I don't care! I want my sister, that is it!" said Rathore as he, for the first time, was taking advantage of his post.

"No Rathore, there will be panic all over. We can't do that." Said Arjun and Rathore looked at him not believing. "I can't put innocent people at stake. And if we announce red alert, Sikandar would be alert too. And then we wont even get a slightest of clue." Rathore understood.

Soon they drove towards the airport and Shree filled in the details.

"Sir, it was a regular flight from Delhi that landed."

"Shree the noise was clear, maybe it's the airport itself! Find out which flights are about to take off from the airport." Arjun asked and Shree again typed something.

"There are more flights planned today! It includes many direct flights of Delhi, 2 of Bhubneswar, 6 to Hydrabadh, a flight to Solapur and some of the flights having stoppages via Mumbai." Said Shree as if by hearted it all.

Hearing the unusual name, Arjun's eyes popped out the second time today. "What did you say about the flights!??" said Arjun in utter chock and horror.

"There are more flights planned today! It includes many direct flights of Delhi, 2 of Bhubneswar - " started Shree all over again.

"About Solapur!" asked Arjun desperately.

"There is a private flight going towards it." told Shree.

"Its my hometown!" exclaimed Arjun.

"Shit!" said Rathore as he sped off his car towards the airport.

After seeing her frightened face, Arjun couldn't sleep and then he got up from the bed to go to his gym, maybe tiring himself would be pleasing today. As he got up from the darkness of his room, he saw the new bright day waking up. Its was early morning, 6:30 AM.

He stepped out stealthily as he dint wanted to break Riya's sleep. She was a light sleeper, she used to wake up in slightest of noise. So he went up to his toes and walked slowly to the gym. On the way he saw a slow activity taking place near the kitchen, someone was walking stealthily just like him. He saw the shadow move towards the corridor leading to the kitchen. He took out his gun from the near by drawer of his living room and went towards it. He ducked down hiding behind the big vase, and watched.

It was Riya.

But what is she doing?!

He looked closely and found her holding a pan in the dish washing area and she held it tightly so it doesn't fall. She was cleaning it maybe. She was on her tiptoes and worked silently as if planning a harmful strategy. She then opened the tap in the slowest force of water so that it doesn't make a noise when it falls on the sink. She slowly cleaned the pan and removed the soap from it. After cleaning it she slowly put it on the gas stove.

She used a lighter and lit the gas beneath it. The stove was automatic, in which they didn't need to use the lighter. What was she doing? Why is she using lighter when its automatic?

Soon she put oil and mustard seeds in it and added the vegetables to cook them. Everything which was done, was done so slowly and without any noise that Arjun was sure she was up to something. She then took some tomatoes to add them in the dish. She took them in her hands and opened the tap slowly, with no noise of water falling and cleaned the tomatoes. Then she sliced them and chopped them finely. Why was she not using the vegetable cutting board? She might cut her hand?!

There was a slight knock on the door, nearly inaudible. But they heard it. Arjun saw a figure standing on the door from the shadows beneath it. He tiptoed to a wooden partition and hid behind it so that Riya won't see him when she comes out.

Soon Riya came out and walked to the door and opened it. It was the watchman. He held some packets and soon amit came running too. Riya panicked and saw here and there, amit reached and Riya spoke in whispers "slow down, amit!" and again checked up inside, maybe for him. Arjun heard all this and his doubts were cleared, Riya was hiding something. His eyes narrowed and he looked keenly, amit handed her some packets too, all in big brown envelops. He sharpened his ears and tried to hear their conversation.
