Chapter 4

As he climbed into bed, he pretended to be asleep, a flash back in his mind of the days events kept playing,

Flash back

1) khushi and Arnav dancing with each other under the night sky, lots of love lots of passion,

2) akash and payal telling him about how much Arnav and khushi love each other and how strange yet real their relationship is

3) Arnav breaking khushi's fast she bent down to touch his feet and he told her that her placed wasn't in his feet but in his heart

4) Arnav refusing to eat with out her because she starved the whole day

5) Sheetal breaking her fast and mentioning arnav''s name

6) Khushi seeing sheetal breaking her fast and is sad

7) Khushi hiding her pain from every one

8) Khushi confronts sheetal for the DNA test

As the days events passed through his mind, he wasn't able to sleep, the little child was feeling sick and heavy, as he tried to figure his way out of that messy dizzy tangle he found himself in, he opened his eyes and then turned to the other side and looked at the woman sleeping besides him, she rested in peace in her sleep, he got up, to go to the bathroom, and when he came out, he brushed the thought off his mind and shut his eyes and finally found it in him to fall asleep,

As floated into a dream world, he found himself in a memory, in another flash back, the time he first entered the RM, when he was sick and had fainted and khushi had brought him home, he remembered how the whole family had taken care of him, how loving they were, he remembered how nani showed him so much of warmth, how payal made him his juice and anjili fed him his toast with her own hands, they were so warm and so loving, he remembered that over his stay in RM how akash and nk would tease him and play chess with him, his thoughts went back to the time when Arnav had picked him up and he threw the ball into the basket and they won the game, it felt so nice a small smile crept up his unconscious state, his mind diverted to the time when khushi came and asked him for help, when he was upset and was listening to blaring music as a way to revolt, the flash back of when she said,"I need your help, but if u don't want to help me its ok, its only I thought if any one was there or not you would definitely help me," he saw himself feel a bit bad and go to her, he saw her talk to herself and plant the leaves in the pot the wrong way, he knew she was doing it on purpose to get his attention, so he himself went and helped her, he remembered how his mood became ok, khushi wasn't a bad person he thought, he knew she was mad actually mad was an understatement, she was bonkers, but what ever she was she was cute and nice, and very loving, in fact he hated to admit it but he was getting fond of her and her quirky ways' his smile grew wider in his sleep as he floated further down his dream, he found himself in the same spot where he was just a few hours ago, near the pool side, he saw Arnav and khushi hugging each other tightly, smiling at each other, and then he saw himself running towards them and wrapping his arms around both of them, and hiding his face, as he slowly looked up he saw them both looking down and smiling at him with all the love they have, khushi bent down and kissed his fore head and Arnav followed and then she said

Khushi: mera raj kumar

Arnav rolled his eyes at her and said with his signature smirk

Arnav: yeh mera champ hain

Khushi: (she made a face and then said) nahi he is my raj kumar, my little prince

Arnav: (reverted back) nahi khushi, woh mera champ hain, he will be the best in basket ball right champ (he looked at arrav)

Arrav looked at them both and then chuckled

Arrav: (he looked at khushi, he smiled and said) mai aapka raj kumar hoon (and then looked at Arnav and had the same smile he said) aur mein aapka champ hoon

Both Arnav and khushi smiled at each other and then arrav said

Arrav: I love you ma I love you dad

And he hugged them tightly feeling their warmth, he felt like he was part of a warm family and a loving one, he felt lucky and special and then as the hug broke, he found himself distancing from them, a face appeared in his head, and it was sheetal's face, he woke up, his eyes opened with a sudden shock and stark, breathing heavily, he got up and sat on the bed, trying to stabilize, sheetal who was sleeping she woke up with the sudden noise of his breath and got up and saw arrav in a state of shock, she looked at him and then got up and asked

Sheetal: are u ok

Arrav looked back at her a bit scared and then nodded his head and then sheetal said

Sheetal: go to sleep, its late, there is lots to do tomorrow (she said in a scolding tone)

Arrav nodded silently and then lied down, the thought still shocking him he called Arnav dad and khushi ma and hugged them, and then the sudden distance and sheetal's face what was the meaning of all this,

Read all the chapters in one go and loved all of them... Well come to think of it, it can be an interesting twist... Can't wait to read more.
