"Anjali Di, can I ask you something?" Khushi was sitting with Anjali in her room while she was setting her cupboard

"Hmm"

"Ar …..Arnav jee …. Aur …. Adeep ….. I mean kuch narazgi hai kya?" Finally she managed to ask and she noticed that Anjali stopped her work and now she was looking at her

"Yeh baat toh mujhe bhi samajh mein nahi aati" Anjali left her work and she came to the bed and sat with Khushi

"Kya … hamesha se hi aise tha?" She asked again

"Nahi ….. Chotte and Adeep are like best buddies. They have a strong bonding but pata nahi Chotte ke divorce ke kuch time baad se Adeep aise uss se door door rehne laga, aik baar main ne poocha toh rona shuru ker diya, iss liye main ne kabhi uss se iss pe baat hi nahi ki" Anjali told her what she knew and Khushi couldn't stop herself from asking the next thing

"Per Di yeh toh Taani se bohat pyar karte the toh phir inhon ne usse divorce ……."

"Good Evening Di" Khushi jumped hearing him at her back, so he had heard everything and this she could tell from his stiff voice tone. She courage to turn and look at him, He was looking as stiff as his voice but he was shooting angry glares to her

"Ohh God main ne phir se ghalat ker diya" She closed her eyes in fear anticipating his furious reaction

"Good Evening Chotte" Anjali said while he turned to Khushi

"Khushi come with me" Saying it he left from there and Khushi gulped in fear and moved out of the room

"Aap ne Mujh ……" She was just at the door pulling her inside he closed the door behind. Khushi was very scared now, He turned to her and she could read the anger on his face

"Now … I am here to answer your question, Shoot!" He pressed her shoulders and moved an inch closer to her, Khushi in fear tried moving back but he held her tight

"Mmm …. Main …. Woh …. Di …. se ……" She stammered, he pulled her closer and she placed her hands on his chest to stop him and it didn't go unnoticed by him

"Khushi don't dig the past, tumhain yeh jan'ne ki koi zarurat nahi ke main ne Taani ko kyun divorce di, Woh mera past thi aur tum mera aaj ho iss liye please phir se kisi purani baat ko mat kholo" He said loosening his grip and she quickly backed off

"Mmm ….Main …." She was about to move away when he held her hand and stopped her

"We are going out for dinner, get ready" It was more like an order and she cannot refuse him

Arnav parked the car and got down. Coming to her side they were about to move when his phone beeped. It was from Aakash (Payal's husband)

"Haan Aakash …… WHAT!" The way he reacted Khushi could feel something was surely wrong

"Ok we're coming" He disconnected the call

"Kya hua?" She asked but he didn't reply her and just asked her to sit in the car

Khushi was just crying since she came here. Payal was caressing her head and asking her to stop

"Khushi please chup ho jao, Babu jee theek hain" Shashi had minor stroke and now he was admitted to the hospital, Luckily Aakash and Payal were with him so they immediately take him to the hospital and then informed Arnav and Khushi about it and now Khushi was crying seeing her father like this

"Per Jeeji mere Babu Jee ko aise kyun hua …woh toh theek ho rahe the na toh ohir …" Payal helplessly looked at Arnav, who came to them and sat with Khushi

"Khushi please calm down, just stress ki wajah se aise hua hai, he'll be fine" Arnav said taking her in his arms and she stopped crying because she cannot say anything to him like she did with her sister

"I think humain ghar chalna chahiye, Aakash aur Payal hain na yahan" Doctor has told them that now Shashi is fine but it's better if he keep admitted in hospital for two days and Arnav was insisting to take Khushi back home but she was not ready to leave from here

"Nahi main Babu Jee se mile bina nahi jaoon gi"

"Khushi …. Uncle abhi rest ker rahe hain hum kal aa ke ….." But she nodded her head in denial as she did not want to go home till she could meet Shashi and assure that he is fine

"Ok fine we'll stay here" He said gently caressing her head and she in a moment become conscious of him so close, embarrassed she pulled away from him and this was surely didn't get unnoticed by him. He sighed as she slightly shifted away from him on the bench

"Aakash you should take Payal home, we are here" He said to Aakash

Payal kissed her forehead and asked her not to cry, "Khushi ab nahi rona, Babu jee theek hain, ok" Khushi nodded hardly controlling her tears

"Arnav please Khushi ka khyal rakhna" Payal said turning to him

"I will"

After Aakash and Payal left Arnav came to Khushi and sat with her at the corner of the bench. He turned to her, she was again crying and like always her tears were pinching him.

"Khushi stop crying" He said but it's like she didn't listen

"Khushi if you won't stop crying then I'll take you back home" He threatened and it did work, her crying stopped immediately

"Babu jee ko kuch nahi ho ga na!" She looked up at him with her red eyes with a hope to getting surety of her father's health

"Uncle theek hain Khushi" He said moving to her and placing his hand on her head to comfort her

"You should rest …. I don't want to hear no" He forbid her as he saw her opening her mouth to refuse him

"Lay down" He got up from the bench and made her lay down, she hesitated for a while but then looking at his stiff face she quickly followed

"Now close your eyes" She did and he smiled how innocently she was following him

He then removed his coat and gave it to her so that she don't feel cold, Making sure she slept he moved to one of the chair lying at side, sitting there he closed his eyes

As Arnav wake up the first thing came to his mind was Khushi. He looked at the bench but she was not there, he become worried, getting up he went to the nurse station

"Excuse, have you seen my wife, the girl sleeping at the bench!"

"Yes Sir she is in the room with her father" As nurse told him, he sighed in relief. This girl is really crazy, he thought before going to the room

"Babu jee aap ko apna khyal rakhna chahiye" He stopped at the door listening her, she was sitting with Shashi placing her head on his shoulder

"Arre mera bacha, tum toh ho nahi toh mera khyal kaun rakhe ga" Shashi chuckled at her daughter's innocence

"Aise mat kahein aap, main aap ke pass wapis aa jaoon gi aur phir kabhi aap ko akela chor ke nahi jaoon gi" She said getting serious and Shashi's smile gone, he observed her face, why was she saying like this? Was she not happy with this marriage? Arnav immediately read the question on his face and to turn attention he intruded

"Khushi tum kyun Uncle ko pareshaan ker rahi ho" Hearing his voice she lifted her head, he was standing behind him and she felt it as he wrapped his hands around her

"How are you Uncle?" Arnav asked pulling Khushi closer causing her to get up, as she stood his hands slid down to her waist

"Main theek hoon bus meri baiti aise hi choti choti baat pe pareshaan ho jaati hai, tumhain toh pareshaan nahi kerti na?" Shashi asked feeling content that they were happy with each other

"Nahi Uncle Khushi bohat achi hai" He smiled looking at her while her cheeks turned red getting complemented from her husband

"Hmm yeh toh hai"

"Uncle aap please stress mat lijiye, main aur Aakash hain na, aap ko koi bhi tension laine ki zarurat nahi hai"

"Arre tension kaisi, bus ab toh meri aik hi khawahish hai ke marne se pehle main aik nanhi si Khushi ko apni goad mein khilaoon" Khushi's face was now grown red with embarrasement while Arnav's smile faded as soon he heard it

"Babu jee …. Ais … aise mat kahein …. Aap ko kuch nahi hoga" She pulled away from his grip and again sat with her father

"Main ne kuch ghalat toh nahi kaha na baita" Shashi embraced her as she started sobbing again

Arnav was standing as it is now unaware what Shashi and Khushi were conversing. Nanhi Si Khushi he wished he could give him that but it is not in his hands
