"Kisse baat kar rahi ho sharon?" Rey's voice from behind shook her up. She looked around. She had been walking while she spoke over the phone and had again reached the place where the bonfire was lit. she gulped hard, praying she was hallucinating, but why on earth would she hallucinate about rey!

she turned around to see him standing there with a stern look on his face and hands crossed against his chest. "he heard me" she thought. she knew him well enough to know when he would be angry. he walked closely towards her and she tried moving back.

she was sweating profusely.

sharon: uhm..woh..woh..rey..main tumhe batane..

rey: kya batane wali thi sharon? haan?

he spoke through gritted teeth. she looked at him, terrified. rey had never been so pissed. she looked around for swayam. he would help her. yes, only he would.

rey: darr gayi?

rey said and burst into splits of laughter...there she stood, frozen on her spot wondering what happened to him. Perhaps, the truth had affected his mental balance and he was laughing like this. He held his stomach and laughed harder while she didn't react.

rey: oh god sharon! main toh bas tumhe darane ki acting kar raha tha!

she was mortified to say the least.

sharon: so tumne kuch nahi suna?

she spoke quickly

rey: suna? kya suna? yaha pe kuch sun ne layak hua kya?

he smirked at her and she relaxed a bit and then looked at him crossly.

rey knew what it meant and he took to his heels. she followed him speaking with venom spitting out of her mouth.

sharon: you are so dead Mr Reyaansh Singhaania...you know what, aaj history create hone wali hain...coz pehli baar ek best friend apne hi best friend ka murder kar degi.

she ran faster but she obviously couldnt catch up with his speed. they ran around the bush, now enjoying the moment and laughing hard.

at a distance, swayam stood, admiring sharon. he had seen her laughing happily after so long and he thanked rey for it. they both had got up and gone for a stroll after the conversation and when they returned, they saw sharon standing there, looking glum! rey stepped forward to calm her down and had come up with this mischief! she looked so carefree right now, so unlike the control freak that she was.

as they ran around the fire, sharon suddenly slipped and was about to fall backwards into the fire and screamed out loudly

sharon: rey...

immediately, a pair of strong hands had gripped her waist and her hands clutched that person's shoulder. her eyes were shut and she was too scared to even open them.

sharon: thanks rey for saving me...

she spoke, her eyes still shut. rey stood at a distance now, still gulping hard. He had infact run away from her thinking she was chasing him and when she heard her terrified scream, he turned and saw her falling. He moved towards her but..

Sharon opened her eyes and was surprised to see swayam holding her.

Sharon: tum?

She was once again losing herself into his intent eyes that bore deeply into her bold one's.

Swayam: tum problem mein ho aur main na aau, aisa kabhi hua hain?

Sharon: par..

Swayam: tum fairy tales mein believe karti ho?

They continued the conversation, still in the same postion.

She nodded

Swayam: so I hope you know that ek princess ko uska knight-in-shining-armour humesha protect karta hain.

Sharon was in total awe at his words. She moved closer to him and he held her tighter. But they broke apart as soon as they noticed rey. Rey cupped her face lightly.

Rey: Sharon, you ok?

She nodded.

Rey: gosh, I am so sorry!

Sharon: no rey, it's not your fault.

Rey: par..pata hain kitna darr gaya tha main..apne dil ke kareeb ek insane ko kho chukka hun..ab tum logo ko kuch ho jaye toh mera kya hoga..

Sharon felt guilty again and looked away

Swayam: rey, tujhe kya lagta hain? Hum dono tera pichha itni jaldi chhod denge?

He spoke to lighten up the mood. But rey, being him, pulled both of them into a hug.

Rey: I need you guys!I hope you know that.

As they parted, they all sat around the bonfire. Sharon's phone rang. Her eyes widened as she saw the caller's name. it was kriya. Her hands started trembling.

Sharon: ha...ha bolo..

She said answering the phone.

Kriya: arre mom chali gayi toh maine phone kiya.

Rey and swayam were both looking at her now.

Sharon: kyu?

Kriya: kyu? Kyu ka hota hain!

Sharon: ha ha theek hain..

Kriya: Sharon, aap theek toh hain na? kya bol rahe ho?

Sharon: woh..uhm..arre samjo na

Both the guys were very curious to know why she was talking like that and to whom! Sharon on the other hand kept fidgeting with her hair, scratched her forehead, all the while not looking at either rey or swayam. She almost choked because she had been holding her breath in for long.

Kriya: samjho samjho..kya bol rahe ho aap?

Sharon: oh god! Pehle se hi akal nahi hain ya aaj kal ghaas charne gayi hain?

Kriya: Sharon, aap itne rude kyu..oh..wait wait!!! koi hain kya waha

Sharon: finally!!

She said in a sarcastic tone.

Kriya: kaun?

Sharon: wahi..

Kriya: kaun wahi?

Sharon: arghhh

Kriya: achaa..swayam aur'rey?

She blushed while taking rey's name, and Sharon rolled her eyes.

Sharon: ho gaya?

Kriya: what?

Sharon: smile karke?

She spoke very softly so the guys wouldn't hear her!

Kriya: aapko kaise pata?

Sharon: really now??

Kriya: ok! Sorry..achha tell them to say something na..mujhe unki voice sun ni hain!

Sharon: what! No!

She screamed, making the guys jump in their places

Kriya: please na, Sharon! Ek baar..aap itna nahi kar sakti mere liye! Sirf naam ka dost bolte ho!

Sharon: firse drama..oh god! Save me

Kriya: toh fir mujhe awaz sun ni hain

Before Sharon could say, rey lost his patience

Rey: kisse baat kar rahi ho Sharon? Aur woh bhi itna weirdly?kuch problem hain kya?

Sharon: rey..uhm...

But she could hear kriya's silent sobs on the other hand.

So she waved her hand to rey, indicating everything's normal its nothing. She continued speaking on the phone.

Sharon: you ok??

Kriya: kaise theek ho sakti hun main..after so long i heard his voice

Sharon: ssshhh..achha listen...koi idea batao...you know for..

Kriya: hmm..phone ko baju mein rakh do, pretending the conversation is over, but don't hang up and..and just continue talkingto both of them!

Sharon: both? Par...

Kriya: uffo! Swayam se bhi..please!!

Sharon: ha..ha..ok byee

Kriya: kya? Aap rakh rahe ho ho?

Sharon: arre nahi idiot..

Kriya: oh..sorry sorry...ha...ha, plan starts...main ready hun..kuch nahi bolne ke liye...hey universeji, bahut mushkil kaam hain,help karna

Sharon: chup...aur bye!!

She scolded kriya and put the phone beside her, while the guys frowned at her behavior.

Sharon: haan toh rey, swayam, kya baat kar rahe the hum?

Swayam: hum baat kar rahe the?

He asked, cocking his eyebrows! there was silence for some time!

Rey: arre swayam, nahi kar rahe the toh abhi kar lo na?

Swayam: kyu?

Sharon: kyuki hum...dost hain...

She stuttered through the words..

Swyam: dost? Aur hum?

Sharon looked away, not wanting to meet his intent gaze.

Rey: arre kya tum dono bhi..

He hit swayam on his head and did random things to lighten their mood. But swayam was getting a weird feeling..as if they were not the only people out there. He kept looking around when his eyes landed on sharon's phone. He saw the light on.

Swayam: uhm..sharon..i think you have not yet hung up by mistake..

He pointed towards the phone and rey too noticed it. The next moment, the light went off, indicating the call had ended. Rey cocked his eyebrows.

Sharon: uh..sorry..sorry..i must have forgotten.

She started fidgeting again.

Rey: Sharon, you are lying?

Sharon: rey..no...haha..you are so funny..why will I lie!

Rey: coz of the way you are behaving..jabhi jhooth bolti ho, itna fidget karti ho..

Sharon: no..no..rey..aisa kuch..

Rey: kisse baat kar rahi thi?

Sharon: what?

Rey: tum kisse baat kar rahi thi, Sharon?

Sharon: rey..uhm..it's nothing..just a friend..

Here rey thought she was talking to some guy'he was angry.. "how can she do this to swayam?' he kept thinking and went near Sharon, and took her phone despite her protests. She looked at swayam, asking him to help her. swayam did not know why he wanted to stop rey. He could sense the fear in her eyes. But before he could stop, rey checked the call log.

Rey: kriya!

He mumbled, and dropped the phone from his hand! Once again, he felt as if his world had stopped!

Half an hour later'.

Sharon: so this is how...we both are...rey'...I am sorry...'but maine promise diya tha usse..

Rey: promise...'sharon, tumhare liye ek promise ki zyada value hain'meri life se alag kar diya mujhe?

He was still so mad at her'

She looked at swayam for his help. He too hadn't said anything and looked equally angry right now. Swayam looked away. There was nothing he could do. He himself didn't know what he was thinking.

Sharon: rey, swayam, please!baat ko samjo..agar mere haath mein hota toh main ussi din bata deti tum dono ko..but..

Rey shrugged and sat on the grass.

Rey: so we were right, swayam..she did this for me'and for her friends..baatcutter could never ditch us..chalo kam se kam itna toh pata chala.'

Sharon: rey...I am sorry..i really am'main kya karu yeh prove karne ke liye ki main kitni sorry hun..

Rey: I wanna speak to her

Sharon: par

Swayam: he is right!we need to speak to her'usne bahut kuch akele hi saha hain!

Sharon didn't have an option left. She dialed kriya's number and put the phone on speaker.

Kriya: ha Sharon, unhe shak toh nahi hua na?

She said as she answered the call.

Sharon: uhm

Swayam: no, kriya kisiko shak nahi hua..

Kriya: swayam! Tum!!! Sharon, aapne apna promise...

Swayam: promise nahi leti tum phir bhi hume pata tha kit um kabhi aise nahi kar sakti'

Kriya: par swayam'

Swayam: par war kya??'tum bahut smart samajti ho apne aapko? Sab apne aap hi solve kar logi? Tum kya bahut great ho!

Swayam was choking on his words.

Kriya: swayam..sorry na baba..vaise tum mujhe kya bol rahe ho'mujhe bhi tumse shikayat karni hain

Swayam smiled..she was sounding the way she always did..hyper!!all this while, rey just kept his eyes closed and listened to them.

Swayam: mujhse? Why?

Kriya: why kya? Kitna time ho gaya ab tak uss jhalli Sharon ko pata nahi paye tum..

Sharon: what the'shayad tum bhul rahi ho'..speaker on hain..

Kriya: oh achha'KYA??? MATLAB REY BHI HAIN WAHA? SHARON REY KO KYU BATAYA'AB KAISE'

But rey indicated them to keep quiet'

Rey: uhm..kriya'

She didn't say anything.

Rey: arre Sharon, lagta hain phone cut ho gaya, chal lets hang up!

Kriya: Oye linecutter...phone kaatne ki himmat mat karna.aapko kya lagta hain, just because aap ek dazzler ho, aap ek weakling ka phone kaat doge! Samajte kya ho aap apne aap ko! Aap aur aapki best friend. Attitude toh aise jhaadte ho jaise pata nahi kaunse celebs ho!

She spoke in one breath, while rey smiled. It was exactly how he had expected her to hear'

Sharon: tum..tum har baar mujhe kyu beech mein laati ho?

Kriya: beech mein nahi'aap hi toh main culprit ho'abhi kisne bola tha aapko rey ko sab batane ko..

She immediately bit her tongue'

Rey: toh mujhe sach jaane ke hakk bhi nahi hain?

Rey interrupted and kriya kept quiet'

Rey: bolo na'itna bhi bharose ke layak nahi hun main?

Kriya: nahi'varna aap apni promise nahi bhulte'

All 3 of them frowned at her words..

Rey: what promise?

Kriya: in dono pagalo ko ek karvaneka!

kriya spoke and again bit her tounge while Sharon glared at rey..

Sharon: aur kuch mujhe batana baki hain, rey?

Rey: tumse toh kam hi baaetin chhupata hun'

Swayam: kriya tum sahi keh rahi ho'yeh dazzlers hume pata nahi kya samajte hain'

Kriya: exactly..pidhhu kahike..

Sharon: pidhhu what?

Swayam: nevermind'

Kriya and swayam kept laughing while rey and Sharon looked on, confused. But Sharon was not the one to give up.

Sharon: kriya, tum jiski side le rahi ho na'.main sach batati hun..abhi thodi der pehle yeh dono ek star ko tumse compare kar rahe the

Kriya: KYA!!!! Mujhe jeete ji, maar diya tum dono ne'Sharon, yeh boys hain hi aise'

Swayam: arre aise nahi hain, hum toh'

Kriya: hum toh kya ha! Tum log ek number ke MCP ho!

Swayam: what??! Isme MCP kaha se a gaya! Ery kuch bol na

Kriya: kya bolenge'main sahi hun..

Rey: what? Tumhe lagta hain tum right ho?

Sharon: hum'main aur kriya dono right hain'

Kriya: ha'pata nahi kya samajte hain yeh log apne aapko'humesha girls ko niche dikhane ka ek bhi chance nahi chhodte na tum log'aur bade dude banke ghumte ho..

She kept on tblabbering while the others now stared at the phone with their eyes wide open, at the speed she spoke'

Rey: chup'chup..chup ho jao..kabse bole ja rahi ho..thak nahi jaati tum itna bolkar tum baatcutter!!

There was silence on the other end..and then they heard sobs'

Swayam: kriya'kya hua?

Sharon: rey kyu chillaya tumne?

Rey too was confused'

Kriya: itna bhi nahi samaj aya'kabse main bole ja rahi thi..aur aapne itni der laga die k baar baatcutter bolne mein'

Rey shut his eyes and smiled while swayam and Sharon looked at each other and nodded and got up to give them some time and left from there.

Rey put the speaker off and spoke to her

Rey: baatcutter'kya zarurat thi yeh sab'

But he was interrupted by some voice on the other end'

There, kriya's mom was knocking on the door'

Smirti: kriya kya kar rahi ho! Darwaza kyu band rakha hain?

Kriya: maa'change kar rahi hun..thodi der mein aati hun..kuch kaam hain?

Smirti: nahi'tum karlo apne kaam..main toh bas'

Kriya: maa main bhagne nahi wali ghar se..spy mat karo..

She spoke irritatedly'

Smirti left from there and kriya continued talking to rey'

Rey: Jhansi ki rani ab tak nahi mani?

Kriya: man jaati toh main yaha nahi hoti'

Rey: kya tum abhi bhi mere liye kuch feel'?

Kriya: rey, aapko sach pata hain na..humara koi future nahi hain..please move on..

Rey: kaise kriya! I cant..i just cant..please, don't do this!

Kriya: toh main aur keh bhi kya sakti hun aapko?

Rey: ek baar..bas ek baar bharosa kar ke dekho..please..ek baar'just say it once ki main tumhara wait karu..ek baar keh do ki abhi bhi mujhse pyaar karti ho! Please!

There was sheer desperation in his voice. He had been holding it in for too long and he wanted to let it out.

Rey: please kriya, please'.main pakka kuch karunga'humara pyaar itna weak nahi hain'

He spoke when he heard nothing from the other side.

Kriya:rey..main'

She broke down.

Rey: kriya..don't cry'no'apne aapko aur hurt mat karo..

He spoke in between his sobs..

Kriya: kya'kya sun na' chahte ho' aap?

Rey: yahi, ki hum'give' give up nahi karenge!

Kriya: par maa'

Rey: ek baar keh ke toh dekho'

Again there was pure silence'

Rey: baatcutter?

He was about to hang up when she spoke

Kriya: I don't wanna give up on our love rey! Bahut pyaar karti hunm aapse'please wait for me! Hum kuch kar lenge! Hum saath hain toh koi bhi problem saath mein solve kar sakte hain..please rey, mujhe vapis ana hain..nahi jee sakti yeh life'.i can't'

Rey: I love you baatcutter'aur tum tension mat lo'dekho, jald hi sab thik ho jayega'achha ab tum so jao'its very late..amin bhi jaata hun..aur mere dreams mein ana mat bhulna!

They chuckled and hung up

On the other hand, Sharon had followed swayam.

He stood gazing at the moon.

Sharon walked upto him, his back facing her and was about to place her hand on his shoulder, but she hesitated and took it back. She tucked her hair behind her ear and reached his arm, and held it. He turned to her, his eyes were bloodshot red. She was startled to see him like that!

Sharon: abhi bhi gussa ho ki maine kriya ke bare mein nahi bataya?

Swayam shook his head..

Sharon: toh fir tum aise?

Swayam: tumhe kyu farak padta hain Sharon?

Sharon: kyuki'kyuki main jaanti hun ki somewhere I am responsible'

Swayam: toh fir kyu har baar?

Sharon: I don't deserve you, swayam! I just don't!

She looked away and wiped off her own tears.

Swayam: never thought ki THE SHARON RAIPRAKASH will say that she doesn't deserve something.

Sharon: agar tumhe deserve karti toh itna hurt nahi karti'

He turned her slowly and made her face him.

Swayam: tumhe aise kyu lagta hain?

Sharon: kyuki..kyuki main har baar tumhe hurt karti hun'itni selfish hun ki kabi nahi sochti ki tum kaisa feel karoge'

She cried and clutched his shirt
Sharon: tum itne ache kyu ho swayam? Koi itna achha..itna perfect kaise ho sakta hain!

Swayam: Sharon'main perfect nahi hun'hum sabme flaws hote hain..

He cupped her face gently, tears streaming down their faces'

Sharon: but main tumhe kabhi khush nahi rakhti'

Swayam: tum'tum mere saath hoti ho'isse zyada khushi ki baat mere liye kuch nahi hain Sharon'

She walked away from him'

Sharon: mujhe darr lagta hain swayam'agar tum mujhe chhodke'

He didn't let her finish the sentence'

Swayam: agar aisa hota toh abh tak'I mean'I can't..tumhare sivah kisi aur ke bare mein 'never'for me..it's always been you, and humesha se tumse hi pyaar karunga..

Sharon: par'

Swayam: Sharon, tum kyu har baar mujhe apne aap se door karti ho! Why? When you yourself don't like being away from me!

she was surprised to hear that.

Swayam: don't be so surprised Sharon, its obvious

Sharon: Sharon: I don't know why I keep feeling that I don't deserve your love'.ki main tumhe hurt karne ke alawa kuch nahi de sakti'

Swayam: mujhe kuch nahi chahiye Sharon, all I want is you'you and me!

He looked at her with pleading eyes.

Sharon: but'but mujhe darr lagta hain swayam..ki kahi main tumhe chhod ke chali gayi toh tumhara kya hoga'

Swayam: apne pyaar par mujhe itna toh bharosa hain'please Sharon, don't go away this time'ek chance'just one more chance and I promise I'l set everything right..please'

She didn't move, instead she turned away..because when she looked into his eyes, all she could see was pain, frustration..but moreover, she could see undying love for her! love that has no boundaries. Enough was enough! She wouldn't make him suffer anymore. She would give back all the love he deserved and much more. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, ready to open up her heart to the one person she could trust more than she trusted herself only because he knew her more than she knew herself! She heard him talk again'

Swayam: tumahre bina main kuch nahi hun'ek weakling'but'when you are with me, I don't care about anything'please Sharon, main marr jaunga tumhare bina'

That words came as a shock to her'her eyes flew open'as if dreading for her own life, she turned and crashed her body into his, pulling him into a tight hug! Swayam was surprised at her reaction, but he held her close. He could sense her heartbeats racing and she shivered'he held her tighter'

Swayam: Sharon..

Sharon: please swayam, phir kabhi bhi aisi baat mat karna'tum..aisa keh bhi kaise sakte ho..

Swayam: I am sorry, Sharon..mujhe nahi pata tha ki tumhe meri baat ka itna effect hoga'

Sharon: effect kaise nahi hoga swayam'tumhare presence, tumhari absence sab kuch mujhe itna effect karta hain'

She pulled away from him'

Sharon: aur tum kyu sorry bol rahe ho? Sorry toh mujhe hona chahiye, for doing this to you all this while..

He bit his lower lip and shook his head and cupped her face'

Swayam: no Sharon, tum kabhi galat nahi ho sakti ho'

Sharon: no, its me..its me who was always wrong..aur tum sahi'

She cried while he wiped off her tears, still cupping her face, his own tears never stopping.

Sharon: kya..kya magic kiya hain swayam tumne'ki main tumse itna'pya'

Swayam looked at her with eyes full of hope'

Sharon: ki main tumse'.god dammit, I love you swayam! I always have'bas humesha tumse door jati rahi, apni hi feelings ko deny karti rahi like'like a total fool..but sach toh yeh hain ki main khud bhi nahi jaanti ki main tumse kab se pyaar karti hun'

Swayam couldn't believe his ears. He had waited for this moment all his life and when it had come, he felt like he was in seventh heaven!

He pulled her into a hug, that was all his senses could do

Swayam: I love you too, Sharon..i love you too'

He spoke in between sobs. She adjusted in his arms, resting her head on his chest.

Sharon: promise me swayam, that you will never leave me'please'

Swayam: I promise'tum kahogi toh bhi nahi jaunga..

They chuckled a little, and snuggled deeper into each others' arms. He kissed her hair softly while she played with his hair.

It was truly a roller coaster ride-like night for everyone.

Next day was the day of all the performances. They all had assembled early. It was Rey who had called everyone to reveal kriya's truth. While everyone was guilty about their actions and the way they thought about her, misunderstood her, their respect had grown tremendously. And all of them took an oath to dedicate their performance to the one person who lived for dance. Also, Sharon officially announced that swayam and her were a couple, which was met by huge cheers from the entire gang.

They were about to go for their respective competitions, with rey, swayam and Sharon walking in the front, while others followed.

Rey suddenly stopped in his tracks as someone was standing facing him. His eyes widened as he saw the person's face. It was smirti ghai! She stood there, her hands on her hips, looking at rey angrily. Rey immediately looked around to find kriya, while the gang stood besides him to support him.

Smirti: kisse dhund rahe ho?

Rey: uhm'aunty'uhm'

Smirti: tum log apne aap ko samajte kya ho? Kya laga tha tumhe? Ki mujhe pata nahi chalega agar tum meri beti se baat karoge?

Rey: no..aap galat samaj rahi hain'aur please, isme kriya ko blame mat kijiye'uski galti nahi hain..maine hi insist kiya tha'

Smirti: main pooch sakti hun kyu?

Rey: kyuki..uhm..

Rey was not sure whether he should continue'so he looked down

Smirti: kyu karte ho tum usse itna pyaar?

Rey looked at her in surprise. Her face had softened up, her eyes were damp.

Smirti: maine'I am sorry'I was wrong. Bahut galat kiya na maine tum dono ke saath!

She broke down while rey quickly moved towards her, and put his arm around her'

Rey: no, you were not wrong! Aap apni jagah pe sahi thi'koi bhi mom aise hi react karti'please apne aap ko blame mat kijiye...but aapko yeh sab kaise pata chala?

Smirti: kal jab tum kriya se baat kar rahe the, I went to ask her to come out. Jab usne reply kiya, uski awaz mein ek alag si chamak thi'like before. I kept standing outside her room. Maine sab kuch sun liya. Aur jab woh so gayi, toh maine uska phone check kiya and I saw sharon's call. So I realized it was probably you. And then she was talking in her sleep, murmuring things like "thankyou rey for coming back".

She looked at rey who smiled.

Smirti: I am sorry'please, mujhe maaf kardo'

Rey: aunty, I said na it's not your fault.

But she was not convinced. So he thought of something.

Rey: vaise aap toh part time detective bhi nikli..

Smirti looked at him with mock anger raising her hand to hit him while he shut his eyes and put his hands on his face while everyone laughed and then she hugged him. When he opened his eyes, his eyes fell on HER.

She was walking towards them, with a soft smile, a little fragile, but with the same crisp walk, like she always did. She stood there and the gang hugged her one by one.

When it was swayam's turn, he raised his hand to hit her and she shut her eyes in fear, but her hugged her instead.

swayam: Phir kabhi meri best friend ko mujhse alag kiya toh tumhare liye theek nahi hoga.

She hugged him back.

Kriya: I am sorry'but I promise..ab kabhi nahi..aur kabhi kuch hide nahi karungi tumse.

They pulled away. She moved towards Sharon. They both first smiled at each other, and then Sharon pulled her into a rib crashing hug.

Sharon: thank you'mujhe apne aap se milvane ke liye..aur mere liye kya sahi hain yeh dikhane ke liye'

Kriya pulled away and looked at her with wide eyes'

Kriya: so? Its?

Swayam spoke in between.

Swayam: officially mine..

He put his hand around sharon's waist while she blushed. Kriya jumped in happiness and banged straight into rey. They both moved away a little and looked at smirti.

Smirti: ab itna kuch ho gaya iski bhi permission loge kya?

The gang laughed, while kriya looked down, blushing. Rey made her face him.
