Sharon entered the class the next day only to find Swayam standing in front of her.Before Swayam could say anything Sharon gave him a look and without saying anything walked away from there.She was trying her best to ignore him in every possible way.

Sw:Hey Sharon...!!

Sharon pretended to ignore him but internally she was dying to talk to him...She didn't respond and went and sat in her place. On the other hand, Swayam was trying hard to figure out why she was behaving in such a cold way.

Sw(monologue):What has happened to her? She was fine yesterday...What happened now?Anyways...I guess she'll be fine in sometime...Ignore her behavior Swayam. She will be fine and she is not angry with you.

Sharon went and sat in her place.The first period started.

Sharon was trying hard to concentrate but couldn't. She felt bad for ignoring Swayam.

Sh(monologue):Sharon...you have to ignore him. You cannot let his thoughts drift you away...At least not in 10^th...Learn to control your emotions...And stop thinking about him...

Teacher:Ms.Rai Prakash??

Sharon was mentally absent in the class.

Teacher(again):MISS RAI PRAKASH???!!!

Sh:Yeah?I am sorry ma'am...

Teacher:Miss Rai Prakash...would you like to explain the difference between calcination and roasting??

What!!!Chemistry??She hated chemistry!!She was already in an impassive mood and now the teacher had started questioning her!

Sh(inner voice):Chemistry period? I thought physics was going on...

Teacher:Miss.Rai Prakash,I am waiting...

Sh:Umm...Ma'am...

Just then as if something was aiding her, the bell rang...Sharon left a sigh of relief...

Teacher:Next time...learn to pay attention in the class...

Sharon nodded her head in dismay...

After the teacher went,Rey came near her...

R:Sharon??Whats the matter??The topper of the class could not answer a question...What happened?

Sh:Nothing Rey...just a bit stressed out...

R:Ok...You will be cheerful again if I call Swayam...Right??

Sh(in anger):Rey shutup now...what is this Swayam thing going on in your mind???I told you that I am a bit stressed out...Can't you sense that???

R:Ok...calm down Sharon...I guess I'll leave you alone...

Saying this he went from there. Sharon cupped her face in disagreement to whatever was going on in her life. At least this is what she thought. She was the one who had initiated the whole process. Still she was unhappy about it.

After sometime,it was the maths period...Maths was her favorite subject...She liked solving sums...Soon, she realized that the ink in her pen had dried up. So she turned back to ask Kriya if she had an extra pen.

Sh:Kriya..

Kriya was busy talking with Swayam.Well, according to Sharon, she was flirting with him. She kept quiet for some time and tried calling her again.All her attempts were in vain...Now, Sharon was furious. She had an impeccable murderous look on her face.She didn't know why but she felt irritated...Was it because of Kriya "flirting with Swayam"??Or was it because someone had dared to ignore Sharon Rai Prakash??After a tiny argument with her mind and her heart,she finally came to a conclusion that it was because Kriya was talking to Swayam...She became even more infuriated when she saw Swayam responding to Kriya with small giggles.

Sh(inner voice):What's so funny in Kriya's chit chats that Swayam is laughing??And how does Kriya manage to be so importunate??Huh?Enough is enough...She has to stop talking to him...

Sh(Highly exasperated):KRIYA!!!(Kriya turned to face Sharon..Swayam was looking at Sharon too)WHAT THE HELL!!!!ARE YOU PARTIALLY DEAF THAT YOU CAN HEAR ONLY WHAT SWAYAM SPEAKS???I HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR THE PAST 10 MINUTES BUT YOU ARE SO INVOLVED WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND THAT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO LOOK AT ME????AND THEN YOU CALL ME YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!!NOW WHY EVEN ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME????GO!!!TALK TO HIM!!

Kriya was silent. She looked daft. She didn't know how to react. Why was Sharon saying all this to her?

Swayam on the other hand was confused. He didn't know whether to laugh or to maintain a daft expression...

Rey came to Sharon...analyzed her face and changed his expression from surprised to that of concern..

R(putting his hand on her shoulder):Sharon..you okay?

Sh:No I am not okay Rey!!Everything is so confusing..!!!I don't know what is happening with me..My adrenalin level has gone up...!!And...and..

R:Sharon..chill..okay??Talk to me and tell me what's the matter??

Sh:Rey..that's what I don't know na?I don't know what's the matter...I just don't understand what is wrong with me..I have never ever felt this way before and today all of a sudden..i got totally screwed up and I am feeling like hell...I am having a guilty conscience..I have a feeling of guilt within me Rey though I know I have done nothing wrong..Everything is just so mixed up!!

R:Sharon..give it a break..ok??I don't know what is wrong with you..though I think that whatever is happening to you is because of Swayam..but at present I can just advise you to sit in one place and figure things out..If you want you can share anything with me..or even Ananya is there right??Just relax..things are gonna be fine..

Sh:Thanks Rey..thats sweet of you..And maybe you are right...whatever is happening to me ,it is because of Swayam...

R(in his mind):Maybe??I completely think that whatever is happening to you is because of Swayam... Now let me talk to Swayam and give your love story another push.

R:Take care..If you wanna share something,I am always there.

Rey gave her a smile and left..

Sw:Hey Rey!!

R: Swayam..actually I wanted to talk to you..

Sw:yeah..but first answer me..

R:Yeah..ok..say

Sw:Actually I just meant to ask you..umm...Is she alright?

R:Dude..you love her right?

He grimaced and then made a sad face...

It was social science period and the teacher had sent Swayam for some work outside the class and Sharon too had gone to the washroom...It was a co-incidence that both of them entered together.

Since the door was not that large that it could let both of them enter together..Swayam was the first to enter but when he saw Sharon coming from the other end,he chose to let her go first..

Sharon was amazed when she saw Swayam standing outside the class.Hesitantly she spoke to him..

Sh(not looking towards him):Umm..What..umm...are you..umm...doing outside the class?Did the teacher punish you?

Sw(coldly):No..

Sh:Then?

Sw:Actually she had sent me for some work..I saw you coming from the other end...So I thought that you would want to go first...Since you are always first in everything...

Sh:Why??Why do you wanna act so friendly with me??

Sw:Ok..I wont act friendly towards you from the next time..I'll go in then..

Sh:Why?

Sw: Because you don't want to..

Sh:I did not say anything like that..

Sw:You didn't..but you are thinking like that...now..

Sh(in her mind):One second...Does my every thought spread over my face??How does he know that I want him to go first?

Sw(in his mind)Why do you lack in veracity Sharon..?Now I am sure that you will say something opposite to my comment...

Sh:That's not true..I wanted to go in first...

Sw:There you go!!

Sw(in a low voice):Siren..your name should have been siren.

Sw:No..nothing..now what are you waiting for??A judge to come and decide on who should go first?Go in now..

Sharon was amused at his behavior.Without saying anything else,she went inside the class..

Sh(in her mind):Swayam..my behavior is understood...but why are you behaving so coldly with me?Please don't behave like this with me Swayam...I don't like it...And it doesn't suit you.

Swayam entered the class too...He went and sat in his place..Rey started talking to him..

R:Dude..what was happening outside?

Sw:What?

R:You and Sharon??What was happening between the both of you?Some kind of a spat?

Sw:Nothing Rey...its just that your best friend's attitude was getting on my nerves...Nothing else..

R:Which nerve? :P

Sw:Cranial nerve...

R:Hmm..okay..

Sw:Rey..!!

R(lol-ing):okay okay sorry..

The rest of the day passed quite normally and Sharon and Swayam, both of them started to get a bit accustomed to each other's ignorance.

At around 5 pm,Sharon got a call.It was from Ananya..

An:Hey Sharon!

Sh:Hey..

An:What are you doing today?

Sh:Nothing..I am kind of free..

An:Ok..So are you coming for a walk?

Sh:Yeah sure..I'll meet you around 6 near your house..or I'll come upstairs to your place..How does that sound?

An:Swayam won't be there Sharon..:P

Sh:So?Who wants to meet Swayam??Umm...Ananya I think..its better if we meet near my place..Ok?

An:Ahem..You would have come if Swayam was there right?

Just then Swayam came near her and he was trying to figure out what she was saying..

An:What are you doing?

Just then Sharon spoke from the other end of the receiver while Swayam spoke standing in front of her.

Sh and Sw :Whom are you talking to...??

An(to Sharon and Swayam):to your better half..

Sh:Huh?

Sw:Ananya..I have no time for all this..I am going..bye..

An(To Sharon):nothing..So we are meeting right?

Sh:Yeah we are..bye..see you at 6!

Sharon disconnected the call..

Ananya(to herself):Sharon...you'll confess...surely..according to what Rey has told me..you surely seem to be in love with him..Lets see what I can do..at 6!!Hmm...!!!
