I would like to thank all of you for taking out so much time to read and comment on the previous thread... I did say that would be all but I was overwhelmed with the comments thus I decided to continue the story... I hope you all would enjoy and embrace it as you did with the previous thread...

Tears flow down her eyes when her gaze when to the picture on the wall... She makes sure not to the miss the picture everytime she enters Raizada Mansion...It had been her routine for the past one year... it gave her hope to continue breathing...
Mami... Mami... Mami... Namaste Mami... Both Sanju and Aayal run towards Khushi as if racing who would reach first...
Khushi was out of her trance hearing the screams of the Raizada stars... Arey bhaagye mat.. aap gir jayenge...(Please don't run you might fall) Khushi by then had gone on her knees so she could embrace the kids tightly... They both had always been Arnav's beloved... She somehow feels to be in peace hugging them...as if hugging him...
All the family members had their eyes at the door and was so amused by the affection between Khushi and the kids. She had stopped smiling but only these two could make her fake smile appear on her face...
Both the kids held Khushi's finger and escorted her in... Anjali had a broad smile on her face as she saw Khushi.. but her eyes suddenly moist thinking how Khushi has changed.. she is no more the bubbly and cheerful... it is as if she has forgotten to smile... Khushi is just leaving a robotic life...
Khushi took blessings from Naniji as she approached her..
Jeeti raheye...(God bless you) Nani blessed her while kissing her forehead...
Khushi just looked around and saw everyone assemble together but someone was missing... She was missing the hazel eye... Everyone noticed that she was looking for Arnav but no one is unknown with the fact that only a miracle would make him stand there...
Khushi... tum thak gayi hogi.. baitho main tumhare liye chai le aati hu... sab milke peete hai..
(Khushi.. you must be tired.. sit I'll get tea for you... we all will have it together)... Payal volunteered...
Nahi Jiji... Shukriya... Hamari 20minutes mein video conference hai... Hum apne kamre mein jaa rahe hai... Jijaji... aap aajayega video conference keliye... aap honge toh hamari madat hojayegi...
(No jiji... thank you... I have a video conference in 20 minutes.. I'll go to my room... BIL, please do come for the video conference... you'll be a great help).. Saying this Khushi just headed towards her room...
Mami sobbed in tears... Aakash quickly went to calm her down...
Sasuma.. yeh hamari phatti saari ko kya hogaya hai...?? Na kuch kehti hai.. na hasti hai.. na roti hai.. bas putle ki tarha rehti hai... Humse dekha nahi jaata sasuma...(MIL... what has happened to our phatti saari - Khushi?? She doesn't say anything... doesn't smile.. doesn't cry... just lives like a statue) Nani hugged Manorama but cried along... No one could see Khushi like this... Payal was totally devastated seeing her sister like this... Destiny had played dirty tricks on Khushi's faith...
Seeing everyone in tears, Sanju and Aayal slowly made their way to Khushi & Arnav's room... While they were talking...
Chotte... lagta hai Mami aaj bhi sad hai... (Chotte.. Looks like mami is sad today also).. Sanju innocently conversed with Aayal.
Didi... kyu? Mama ne scold kiya? (Didi.. why? did mama scold her?).. Aayal responded with curiosity.
Arey buddhu.. mama kaise scold karenge... woh toh one year se kuch nahi bole... Chal jaake dekhte hai (Silly boy, how will mama scold when he hasn't said a word since past one year.. come lets go and see).. Sanju held on to Aayal's hand and walked up the stairs with him...
Khushi now has reached the entrance of her room... She paused... closed her eyes in pain.. and took a deep breath... her hands were trembling as she put them on the handle to open the door...
Inside the room Arnav was lying down on the bed and his eyes were closed... But he suddenly opened his eyes... as if he felt his soul was back... as if he could breath again... He couldn't move his head towards the door but his gaze was looking towards the door... He knew she is there...
Khushi gently pushed the door... It was nothing new... she knew he would have sensed her and he would be looking at the door... Her eyes were fixed toward the bed as well... She missed looking at the chocolate eye the whole day...
She stood there looking into his eyes... while he too stared at her...Khushi was lost in her thought and Arnav was too in the same boat sailing with her down the memory lane...

"Atleast he is here with me.. breathing... I can't imagine losing him"... She thought in her disturbed mind... Tears started rolling down her eyes and Arnav's too...
Khushi didn't realize the two kids had made their way in the room... She didn't even realized when a pair of tiny hands reached her cheeks... The soft touch of Aayal's hand got her out of her thought... As he wiped her tears... he repeated Arnav's favourite childhood dialogue... but this was the revised version...

Khushi was extremely touched by the gesture of the kids...
Anjali who realized the kids had followed Khushi and she went to get them... But as soon as she reached there... she saw and heard the kids saying it and she got a flash back of the times Arnav and her said it during Raksha Bandhan...
Khushi heard Anjali crying and quickly looked at the door...She ran to grab Anjali who was almost falling down...
Diii... She yelled out for her... Aakash heard her as he was approaching towards the study for video conference... he too ran towards Arnav's room...
Di... Sambhaliye aapne aapko... Aap aise roo kyu rahi hai Di.. Arnavji ko kuch nahi huva hai.. Woh bohot jald thik hojayege... aap aise roye mat... (Di.. hold yourself... why are you crying like this.. Nothing has happened to Arnavji.. he will be fine soon... don't cry like this..)
Anjali was stunned hearing Khushi's words... She is still in denial... it has been a year since the incident but she still hasn't accepted the fact... She cried even more as he knee touched the floor... Aakash hold her up and brought Anjali to her room... both the kids were surprised at Anjali's reaction thus they too ran following Aakash...
Khushi looked back at Arnav whose eyes was now shut in pain and tears were just trailing away on his cheek... She came near him and wiped it off... She softly smiled at him before leaving to change...
Nani was sitting next to Arnav and reading Hanuman Chalisa while Khushi was having her video conference with Mr. Mehta, a new AR client. Aakash was with her guiding her though as 10 months experience was still considered new and Khushi didn't wanted to let AR's reputation down. She started going to AR 2 months after the incident as it was impossible for Aakash to handle it alone... Everyone was proud of Khushi's independency but the reason behind it was heart-breaking...
Mrs. Raizada, humne aapke company ke baarein mein suna toh bohot hai lekin... (We have heard alot about your company but..)
Lekin kya Mr. Mehta...(But what Mr. Mehta) AR is the best company and you should be obliged we gave you a chance to work with us...
Aakash was surprised with Khushi's fluent English and her attitude totally resembled Arnav... the same arrogance, the same tone... the same sense of business... Aakash had worked years with Arnav but he never manage to be as tough as him.. but Khushi... she nailed it...
Mr. Mehta... AR makes sure they deliver the best quality and everyone knows AR never breaks their promises... So you have 5 minutes to think over it Mr. Mehta... I don't have a whole day for you...
Mrs. Raizada, it is my pleasure to be associated with AR Design... Mr. Mehta said with an impressed tone...
So the deal is final then Mr. Mehta.. Aap kal office aake contract sign kerdijeyega... (Come to the office tomorrow to sign the contract)
Khushi was about to get up when Mr. Mehta prompted her with a question...
Mrs. Raizada if you don't mind.. may I know where is ASR... I mean.. I'm surprised his wife is...
Mr. Mehta.. thats none of your concern Mr. Mehta.. aap AR ke client hai.. so we shall only talk about business... don't interfere in our personal life... Saying this Khushi got up and went away... Aakash just looked on her...
Payal was coming in with 2 glasses of juice when she saw Khushi coming out in fumes... She tired to stop her but in vain... She entered the room hoping to get an explanation from Aakash regarding her sister's behaviour...
Aakash.. woh Khushi... (Aakash.. Khushi...)She started questioning but saw Aakash's eyes was moist in tears... She quickly kept the tray on the side table and walked towards him..
Aakash.. aapki aakho mein aasu..?? Khushi ne aapse kuch kehdiya kya..? Woh samajti kya.. (Aakash why are your eyes teary.. Did Khushi said something to you..? What does she think...) Payal was about to go and yell at Khushi when Aakash held her back...
Nahi Payal... Khushi ne mujhse kuch nahi kaha hai... (No Payal... Khushi didn't say anything to me) Aakash said in an emotional tone..
Toh fir aapki aakhein kyu bhar aayi Aakash... bataye naa mera dil baitha jaa raha hai... (Then why are your eyes moist Aakash.. Please tell me.. My heart is restless) Payal was really worried...
Payal.. aaj aisa laga jaise main ek saal baad bhai ke saath business deal ker raha tha... wohi gussa, wohi tevar... (Payal.. today after a year I felt I was doing a business deal with bhai.. same anger.. same attitude..) same business strategy "Never make you client feel you are desperate for the deal.. instead make them feel they need you"... Kismat ka ajeeb khel hai Payal... ek woh waqt tha jab Khushi ne mere aakru bhai ko pyar se pyar kerne wala insaan bana diya tha... aaj woh din hai jab woh khud aisi bangayi... (Fate has played a weird game payal.. there was a time when Khushi changed my ruthless brother into being a loving guy but today she has became a ruthless person herself)
They both hugged each other crying over their sibling's fate...Payal couldn't imagine seeing Khushi like this.. while Aakash really misses his brother...
Khushi was totally angry over Mr. Mehta's question... how dare he ask her such question she taught...!!!!
Khushi walked into her room in anger but totally calmed down as soon as she saw Arnav sleeping peacefully on the bed... she walked towards him.. tucked the blanket and caressed his hair... It was obvious that she was soothing her own pain by showering the love on him... He was the only reason she was still alive...breathing...
She was too tired with all these... she couldn't take it anymore... she need him... she wanted to hear him... she wanted to tease him... she wanted to love him... she wanted to sit and count the stars with him... she wanted to attend more awards functions with him... she wanted her man back in her life... but how was all these possible after that incident...
She laid her head on his chest as if recharging herself by hearing his heartbeats... A few drop of tears passed though without her realizing it... She found peace being by his heart... She was about to close her eyes when she had a split second glimpse of his lifeless body in the operation theater... She quickly opened her eyes not wanting to see it further.. she immediately tried to get up from there but felt a slight pull around her neck...
Her mangalsutra got stucked with Arnav's blanket... She quickly held on to it trying to prevent it from breaking... Seeing her mangalsutra... she recalled her happy days... the days she was officially announced as his wife according to the book of ritual...

She slowly untangled her mangalsutra and kissed Arnav on his forehead... She walked out and went towards the pool side... she sat down looking at the stars... it was as if she was communicating with her parents and in laws...
She just stared at the sky as if asking for her unanswered questions... She slowly went back into the dreadful incident...
*Flashback*
Khushi couldn't believe her ears... she heard Arnav coughing... it felt as if she was alive again...her heart started beating again... she held his hand hard indicating she is right here with him... he opened his eyes and saw his world (Khushi) standing right next to him... he knew she will never leave him alone...
The nurse went to Khushi and told her to leave as the doctor needs to start the procedures again... Khushi refused to leave him alone afraid she might lose him again... but NK came in slowly taking Khushi out of the operation theater... Anjali held on the her shoulders trying to tell her everything will be fine... She hugged Anjali and cried her heart out... She was glad he breath again... her heart had almost stopped as the thought of being away from him kills her what if he will never be there...
Nani, mami, tried to calm her down when Garima and Buaji had walked in the corridor... Garima ran to hold her beloved daughter in her arms... Khushi had suffered lost enough before and she as her mother knew she won't be able to take it again... Buaji too joined Garima and told Khushi to have faith in her Devi Maiya... Khushi instantly stopped crying and got up on her feet... She turned around to see Devi Maiya's murti in the hospital... she walked towards it and was followed by Payal, Garima and Buaji... She folded her hands and thanked Devi Maiya in her heart... She deep down knew Devi Maiya will never let anything happen to Arnav...
She lit the diya and prayed once again... She heard the doctor's voice and quickly run towards him...
Doctor... Arnavji thik toh hai naa... Woh.. saas... (Is Arnavji alright? He.. breathhing..) Khushi was now stammering not sure what to ask...
Mrs. Raizada, please calm down... ASR is out of danger now... we will shift him to the normal ward soon then you all will be able to meet him... just one thing... please make sure he is not stressed out. We would like to keep him under observation for sometime and also run some tests... Mr. Aakash could you please join me in my cabin... Aakash and NK went with the doctor while everyone else sighed with a relieve...
Khushi was impatient to meet Arnav... She was standing when she suddenly felt her vision was weakening... he knees were giving up... her head was spinning... she wasn't sure what was happening with her... She almost fall when Shaleen saw her and quickly rushed to prevent her from falling...
Khushi... Garima called out her name in worry... Khushi... kya huva bitiya... aakhein khol bitiya... dekh doctor ne kaha naa Arnavji khatre se bahar hai... (Khushi.. what happened my dear... open your eyes... see the doctor said naa Arnavji is out of danger)
Payal then remembered that Khushi is still fasting.. she hasn't eaten or even drank anything as it is teej... Payal reminded everyone about it... Nani got worried as how could they all forget about it... Shaleen volunteered to get some food and water from the canteen...
He rushed toward the canteen while mami started fanning Khushi... Buaji was touched with her gesture and smiled widely as mami had changed completely since Khushi got married once again... she had only love for both Payal and Khushi... she treated them like her own daughters... Mami passed a peaceful smile to buaji indicating she is there for them always... buaji nodded in agreement...
Anjali had sprinkle water on Khushi's face trying to get her up... Khushi slowly opened her eyes and Garima made her sit up straight... Shaleen was back with a bottle of water and few jalebis... everyone knew Khushi would always open her teej fast with jalebis and Arnav had always teased her about it...
Shaleen passed it to Anjali and she was about to feed her.. Khushi got up in shock... Nahiii... Di... yeh aap kya ker rahi hai... aaj hamara teej ka vrath hai aur humne pooja bhi nahi ki hai... Arnavji ka bhi vrat hai... hum unke bina kaise kuch kha sakte hai... (Noo... What are you doing Di..? I'm fasting and i haven't even do pooja.. and even Arnavji is fasting.. I wouldn't have anything to eat without him...)
Everyone was taken back with Khushi's words... They loved each other so much... in such situation also she is still thinking about him being hungry... Nani looked at the with proud eyes... she was the perfect life partner for her grandson.. Nani embraced her and tried to advise her that she needs to be strong in order to support Arnav... thus she needs to eat something... but Khushi was adamant... she would only break her fast after doing pooja and having water from Arnav's hand...
Khushi gathered herself and walked towards Devi Maiya's murti again... Aakash and NK who were coming from the doctor's cabin saw Khushi walking there... they rushed to her as she didn't seem to look well... Khushi held on to the diya and did aarti... Hot oil was spilling from it as Khushi was shivering... Everyone was shocked but Khushi didn't feel anything... her hands had burns but she kept going... She then filled her path with the sindoor on Devi Maiya's feet... she prayed silently asking Devi Maiya to look after her sindoor and mangalsutra forever...
As she was praying... she felt soft breeze brushing through her face... she quickly turned behind and looked at the corridor... Everyone had gathered there and were surprised by her sudden action... their gaze followed her and was surprise seeing that Arnav was being shifted to the normal ward...
Khushi bitiya... tumka kaisen pata chala Arnav bitwa bahar aaigayi hai... (Khushi.. how did you know they have brought Arnav out?) Mami asked in concern...
Khushi had a small smile playing on her lips recalling how she could always feel his existence...
NK who once was given answer to his very similar question responded...
"Masiji... bas unhein pata chal jata hai..." (Masiji.. they will just eventually know it) ... Everyone looked at NK then again towards Khushi who had tears of joy running down her cheek... Aakash held her and everyone entered the room where Arnav was shifted...
NK reminded everyone not to cry or look stressed out in front of Arnav has doctor has said he strictly needs rest and peace... he has come out from the mouth of death... everyone wiped their tears and tried looking strong...
Khushi sat next to Arnav when he slowly opened his eyes... he could feel her presence... He turned towards her and had a soft smile on his face...Khushi took looked at him lovingly...
"Sorry Khushi... aaj main late ho hi gaya..." (Sorry Khushi.. today I got late) Arnav tried talking but was in immerse pain...
"Khushi kept her palm on his lips and shook her head indicating him not to talk..." Anjali came forward with the bottle of water and held on to Arnav's hand... She helped him making Khushi drink water and Khushi then took the bottle and gave Arnav some water... they both broke their fast...
Buaji thanked Nand Kishore for saving Arnav from such a huge accident... she couldn't imagine how her sankadevi would have taken the news if anything would have happened to Arnav not knowing that he was declared dead just awhile back...
Shaleen advised that everyone should now go home and rest while he would stay back looking after Arnav... they all need to rest so they can come here in the morning... moreover, both the kids were at home alone with HP.
Everyone nodded in agreement but Khushi denied... Nahi jijayi... hum yaha Arnavji ke paas hi rahenge... aap sab ghar jaake aaram kerye... (No BIL.. I'll stay here with Arnavji.. you all go home and have rest)
No one dared to go against her wish as they knew she wouldn't listen and even Arnav would wish for her to stay... NK volunteered to accompany Khushi just incase if she needs something... a male member had to be there with her...
"Don't worry Khushiji... main aapke romance mein bhaag nahi dalunga... (I won't add bhaag in your romance) I'll sit outside..." NK tried to crack a joke wanting to enlighten the tensed atmosphere.
"NK bhai... bhaag nahi... taang..." (NK.. not bhaang but leg) Shaleen corrected him as he shooked his head slowly...
Yeh jiju... that wan.. same to same... NK backed it up...
Everyone said bye to Arnav and Khushi... also advising NK to be with them and to call if there is anything at all...
Khushi made Arnav sleep while she kept her head on the side on the bed... She suddenly felt someone holding her shoulder...
*Back to present*
Khushi felt someone held on to her shoulder... it was NK...
Khushi's eyes were all filled with tears... and they were about to flow anytime soon...
NK was the only person who could still see the real Khushi... it is only him who have seen her crying every night alone... he would give her the moral support and would advise her to stay strong for Arnav...
"Khushi... it wasn't your fault... please stop blaming yourself for whatever happened... Jiski galti thi he is in prison already..." Why are you blaming yourself for something you didn't do... NK tried to explain it to Khushi...
Nahi Nanheji... yeh sab hamari galti hai... Agar hum unko chorke Devi Maiya ka diya jalane naa jaate toh yeh kuch nahi hota... Arnavji hamare saath haste khelte hote... (No Nahneji... this is all my fault... if I wouldn't have left him alone to lit Devi Maiya's diya... then all these wouldn't have happened... he would be laughing and playing around with us...)
*Flashback*
Khushiji... main zara Nannav ki medicine leke aata hu... (I'm going to get Nannav's medicine) Aakash is on the way with Payal bringing the breakfast... Jijaji, Naniji, Di will come after doing maha aarti in Shiv Gauri mandir... Masiji is at home with Sanju and Aayal... Will you be okie here? NK asked concerned about Khushi as she hasn't sleep the whole night...
Haa Nanheji... hum thik hai aap jaake dawai le aaye... Arnavji bhi jaag gaye hai... hum zara unko fresh kerdete hai... (Yes Nanheji.. I'm fine .. you go get the medicine.. Arnavji is also awake.. I shall freshen him up) Khushi had freshen up by then and wiped arnav's body with luke water and sponge...
Humne Devi Maiya se wada kiya tha ke jaise hi aap subah uth jayenge hum unka diya jalake aapko tikka laga dhenge... Hum abhi ek minute mein aaye... (I had promised Devi Maiya that as soon as you get up I'll let the diya and put tikka for you.. I'll be back in a minute) She smiled at Arnav as if asking permission and he nodded gently indicating she can go...
She quickly went as she didn't wanted to leave him alone for long... She lit the diya and prayed for his speedy recovery... She also thanked Devi Maiya for saving him... As she was praying her eyes went to the diya which was by now flickering... she remember the same incident at RM when she received the call informing about Arnav's accident... Without thinking further.. Khushi quickly run towards Arnav's room as if she knew something was wrong... As soon as she entered she was shocked to see Arnav gasping for oxygen... his mask was on the floor... some machines were beep loudly... he was gasping for oxygen badly... she didn't know what was going on.. she was too shocked to react... but somehow she managed to yell...
'DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!'
NK who was almost near the room heard her scream and ran towards her... he saw Arnav gasping for oxygen... He moved her aside and quickly placed the oxygen mask on... doctor had come in by then... The nurse forced both NK and Khushi to go out of the room... Payal and Aakash saw doctor running towards Arnav's room so they also ran and found Khushi and NK outside... Khushi was crying and blaming herself as she left him alone for awhile... Payal was trying to calm her down but Aakash saw NK tensed... NK bhai.. what happened???? Aakash questioned him...
NK narrated to him how he went to get medicine for Arnav and Khushi went to lit the diya as she had mannat... when he was coming back he heard Khushi screaming for the doctor... he saw Arnav's oxygen mask was on the ground... 2 machines were switched off... It was so strange... it felt as is someone did it in purpose... but who???
NK and Aakash looked at each other and had a pause... they both were thinking of the same person... They eyes just popped out in disbelieve...
Before they could react further... the doctor came out...
Sorry Mr. Aakash... aapke bhai... (your brother...)
Arnavji kya doctor... Khushi got up and had her hands on the doctor's collar... NK tried to pull her away... the doctor then continued... ASR had a paralysis attack...
Those words kept echoing in Khushi's head... she was in total disbelief... the flashes of her father, Shashi came in her mind...
The doctor continued... woh zinda toh hai but ek lash ki tarha (He is alive but just like a dead body) ... he has completely lost sense of movement... Now we can only pray for a miracle... I'm sorry... The doctor left a devastated Aakash, NK , Payal and Khushi behind... Anjali, Nani and Shaleen had just walked in and were shock to see the 4 in such state...
Shaleen run towards them while Anjali tried to walk fast and Nani was holding her just incase... Aakash... what happened??? why are you all crying like this...?? Is Arnav...?? Shaleen never calls Arnav 'Saale Saab' as it reminds everyone of the creep...
The world came crashing down for Anjali when she heard Aakash repeated the doctor's line...
Nani almost fainted hearing such state of her grandson... it felt like everything was over...
They all were sobbing away until the realized Khushi had got up and walking towards Devi Maiya's murti... She stood straight in front of DM and looked with killer eyes...
"Aapne yeh kyu kiya DM?? Humne aapse pranath ki thi hamare suhaag ki raksha kerne keliye... aapne unko jeevan toh dhe diya lekin baaki sab kuch kyu chinliya DM... kis baat ki saza dhe rahe hai aap humein...? Kya kasoor hai hamara DM... bataye... bataye... (Why did you do this DM... I requested you to look after my husband right... you gave him life but you snatched everything else away from him...? What are you punishing us for? What is our fault DM? Tell me!!! Tell me!!) Khushi was shouting on top of her voice... her threw everything down of the floor from DM's alter... NK and Shaleen run towards Khushi stopping her from hurting herself as such...)

Khushi felt on her knees as she cried fanatically...Everyone was taken back with her statement... a girl who found DM to be her closest friend today was against her...

Khushi cried on top of her voice... yelling away that it was her fault... she caused Arnavji so much of pain... she snatched a grandson, son, brother, and uncle from everyone... She is the reason behind his helplessnes...
NK tried to calm her down... but she continued crying... she was all on the floor... weeping away not able to accept the fact that she was the reason of his paralysis attack...
Anjali and Payal had run towards the room as they heard Khushi crying so loudly... they were so worried... they were surprise to see NK trying to calm her down but tears were running down his eyes too... they all felt so painful... Anjali knew Khushi has never been able to forgive herself since that day...but they all knew who was behind this...that man was behind bars already but Khushi still takes the blame on her...
Their heart broke into million pieces seeing Khushi in such immerse pain... Anjali however built the courage and went to pick Khushi up from the floor... Payal helped too and brought Khushi to the bed... they made her lay down next to Arnav and pampered her to sleep...
Khushi was so weak and tired so she felt asleep in no time...Anjali placed Khushi's hand on Arnav's chest as for the past one year she had slept like that as if it is a habit.. they never understood why but never thought of questioning either... They all left the room after dimming the light... the painful night was somehow over and everyone hoped for a better morning...
Khushi was fast asleep when she suddenly recalled the time Arnav had lifted her in his arms and placed her on the bed as she was asleep...
Khushi was battling her her mind which finally woke her up... She opened her eyes and realized it was her dream... As she was just about to close her eyes... she suddenly felt ticklish on her palm... as if someone is touching it gently...
Khushi was shocked to see it was Arnav's fingers that were making her feel ticklish... She was too shocked to react... it is the very first time in one year Arnav had moved his fingers... he hasn't shown any improvement in his health but this... Khushi couldn't control her happiness...
It has been his habit to sleep holding her hands... It has been a year she always keep her palm near his hand hoping that he would clutch it one day just like old times... today that miracle happened... though he didn't clutch it but him moving his fingers on her palm was just more than enough...
