I understand what you say about it being hard to admit to someone that you love them. But I don't agree with that. If you truly love someone it shouldn't be hard at all. In fact, you should be shouting it out with joy. It should be quite irrelevant whether the other person reciprocates your feelings or not.All I see here, is their ego coming in their way. Neither of them have absolute trust in the other. True love has no fear of anyone or anything. - in story books and movies, yes, people scream it from the roof tops with any fear. If you love someone and are still in the process of navigating not only your thoughts...but theirs as well - its a bloody challenging exercise UNTIL you have built the level of trust and comfort. That is what these two are trying to do. I think its highly unrealistic for them to just say. Additionally, have you considered that difficulty expressing emotion is a safety mechanism for these two - they've both experienced significant loss in their life, its not easy for them to say it perhaps due to the unconscious fear of losing one another. Given that they are grappling so hard with it - surely it indicates how precious this emotion is to both of them.
So, do they love each other or is it lust? I leave it to you to make that decision. Its your interpretation of the story that will answer this question.
Plus, I think he should have told her he came back to see her, only to see her. Again... hard to put into words; when you are in a situation like this...you just react. Hindsight is 20-20.I hope at least one of them, she?, is brave enough to tell when he returns.Enjoyed the understanding between her dad and him. I hope dad doesn't blurt out the truth.Awaiting next update. Thank-you so much for the PM. Thank you for the comments 😊

I definitely understand what Khushi feels right now! Love...sigh ❤️
I hope she and Arnav talk. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by him in this fic in that he is sane, level-headed and worthy of the persona of young, bajillionaire businessman of the year. He can be a devil, but he is very rational with his feelings. And Khushi too - she is the same bubbly character, but believably intelligent, ambitious and a wonderful daughter. The way you've portrayed Garima and Shashi is so funny - my parents pretty have pretty much reacted the same way. You'd think the dad would be the one freaking out and the mum more understanding, but nah! Totally the other way round.Your dad sounds awesome!
