Actions Speak Louder Than Words
It was the final year of college. Armaan n shilpa have been bestfriendz since high school n their frndship remained intact all through these years. Siddhanth n riddhima are also their very close friends since the beginning of college, siddima are already in a relationship.
shilpa n armaan are always there for each other no matter what.. even to help each other in studies, to complete homeworks, discuss life problems, discuss each others most recent crushes..n what not.
if one was hurt..so was the other. and if one was happy..it made the other also happy!
but what they both failed to realize was that..there was always a spark between the two..which was way beyond friendship!
being their close friends, siddima were the first to realize this. And believe them if they say..'they tried'.
Yes, both riddhima n siddhanth had confronted them with this topic infinite timez..to put brains into their head. siddima talked to each of them individually and also in the prsence of both shilpa n armaan! they tried to make them understand the worth of each other..n that what they shared was way beyond friendship..that it was purely love..But up came the instant reply of arsh- "paagal ho kya tum dono? We are besties and have never seen each other in that sense for god's sake! Nowayy.. this is never gonna happen!'
At the end..siddima were tired.. really tired of making those two dufferz understand their true feelings for each other...but... they were not done yet! They both decided that it was indeed time for some ACTION and as well as time to use the proverb that Action Speak Louder THAN Words!
It was one day before their farewell party...their college had decided to make the farewell a little different this time and it was scheduled to be conducted in Goa..whereas their college was in mumbai. The juniors had all left a week back to the scheduled resort in goa 4 making the arrangements...whereas the seniors were supposed to leave for goa just a day before the party...
All 4 of them..siddima n arsh were done with their shopping and by afternoon..they all made their way to the station where they met the rest of their friends.
Siddima n arsh had exclusively booked their tickets in ac first class train..being the spoilt brats that they were.
Soon after settling their luggage all 4 of them decided to spend sometime together in 1 room itself...whereas 2 rooms were booked. Each room could accomodate only 2 of the passengers.
Soon it was time to begin with siddima's plan...
They started...'armaan..shilpa.. tumhe pata hai, your latest crushes.. kria n rey are also in this very compartment!'
shilpa almost squealed in joy...whereas armaan also gave an excited nod.. all of them then approached kriyaansh n sat along with them..enjoying each others company..
note- kriyaansh r already in a relation, but itz hidden from arsh, n kriyaansh r also helping siddima with their plan.
it was by then time for dinner.. After having a hearty dinner n chatting for sometime..all decided to call off the night.. it was decided that siddima will share a room , whereas armaan n rey will be in one room and shilpa n kria in the other. For the safety of the girls..krishi wud be in the centre room, armaan n rey on their left and siddima on their right..
While reshifting their rooms for the night..armaan came into krishis room and informed shilpa that she had forgotten her ipod and some stuff in the other room. Shilpa while leaving for armaan n rey's room asked armaan to help kria rearrange their luggage.
Siddima all set began with the final step of their plan and soon texted Kriyaansh also.
As shilpa went in, she saw rey struggling with the button of his collar and when and when he asked her for help, she hesitantly went forward and tried to detangle his button with her teeth.
At this very moment armaan entered the room and stood rooted to his spot! he had never seen his bestie shilpa..so close to a guy..almost like making out with him! She has never even pecked a guy other than himself on his cheek! Suddenly anger n jealousy overtook him and he stormed out from that room back into krishi's room.. and.. BAMM .. he bashed into kria, making them both fall onto one of the berth!
By this time, shilpa was done helping rey and made her way back into her room... There again.. she felt like she fell apart! Watching armaan atop kria!
She felt tears prick her eyes.. To see armaan, her bestie with someone els...that too this close! She almost ran back to ArReys room..
Here, armaan quickly got up n after apologising to kria..he took some of shilpas luggage from the room and he rushed back to his room!
There he stood stunned again watching rey bent towards shilpas face, almost covering her.(he was actually blowing into shilpas eyes, since shilpa lied to him that she was'nt crying n that something had went into her eyes)
That was it! Armaan could'nt tolerate it anymore!
He almost barged into the room..literally throwing out all of rey's luggage as well as rey out of the room..and shut the door on his face!
Rey smirked to himself..and made his way towards kria..on the way knocking at siddima's door too..
Then all 4 of them sat there..silently toasting on the success of their plan!
Back in the room..shilpa suddenly lifted her face from her palms when she heard the door shut! She saw armaan making his way towards her with an expression that she has never seen before.
his expression held possession, anger, hurt and... passion?
before shilpa could read further..her trance was broken as the sudden image of armaan atop kria came to her mind... she fumed in anger and was about to open the door when armaan pulled her back by her arm...and made her look deep into his eyes..'going back to rey?' armaan asked..pain visible in his eyes.
shilpa quickly pulled back and retorted...'so what if i am? u too can go ahead and be wid kria!'
both were totally confused as to why they were behaving like this..its not like they love each other then why do the others closeness with anyone else bother each of them so much...
armaan pushed her and then pinned her to the door of their room...and whispered in her ears..' u r not going anywhere..i have as well bought ur luggage with me..and by now all must be fast asleep.'
the way he spoke gave chills to shilpa..throughout her body. She has been this close to armaan on various occassions like bb, but till now never bothered much about it...infact never paid attention until now... now that she was so close to him n well aware about it..she finally felt some current like chills running through her..
Armaan on the other hand was busy admiring shilpa..and was also lost in the same thought process as hers when finally shilpa spoke..'i need to freshen up..'
'i will also accompany u.. i mean even i need to freshen up so lets go together,both the washrooms are ought to be free at this hour.. and its quiet late..so its not safe for you to go alone.'replied armaan.
shilpa at first almost turned crimson..when armaan said about accompanying her to the restroom..but then soon nodded.
both took their necessities and headed to the washroom... just when shilpa entered the washroom..armaan stopped her and told 'come out only after me..i will give you a knock..so make it a little fast.. just for ur safety.' shilpa nodded and both went off into their respective washrooms.
Within 15 minutes shilpa was almost done when she heard a knock on her door..she quickly wore her maroon silk nightie that ended by her mid thigh and topped it with the overcoat and quickly cameout...drying her hair..when she realized rey standing just in his shorts! The very moment armaan made his way out and first stood stunned,then slowly took in the scene and glared at shilpa..
by then rey apologised in his sleep and made his way towards the washroom rubbing his eye, not realizing the scene he had just created.
'dint i asked u to wait 4 me to knock..?' asked armaan while glaring at shilpa..
first shilpa thought of replying..but then again thinking about kria under armaan..thought better of it and made her way towards their room without bothering to reply to armaan..
armaan lost his final strand of patience and quickly walked towards shilpa..grabbing her by the waist halfway..entering their room and locking it down!
by then shilpa's overcoat had slid down..making her stand just in her midthigh length nightie under the dangerous gaze of armaan. She quickly looked up to see armaan standing there just in his shorts with wet hair and body..gazing lustfully at her.
Armaan was slowly taking in her appearance...her honey like skin..wet hair..parted lips... he had never seen shilpa this way ever before. All this along with the cold atmosphere of the first class train was enough to make these two to loose all their senses... armaan slowly moved towards shilpa's parted lips whereas shilpa tightened her grip on his neck.
Slowly after meeting her lips, armaan carried her in his arms,all the while kissing her.. to one of the inviting berths and switched off the lights. To add to all the built up passion..'roop tera mastana' started playing on the radio attached to the train...
next morning-
armaan woke up tangled only in sheets..he rubbed his eyes and last night events quickly flashed infront of him. God what had he been thinking! how could he do this.. he should have controlled himself.. would this affect their friendship?...but inspit of all this rey realized 1 thing.. he was not 1 bit guilty of what happened yesterday... and then thinking about how her 1 touch gave him goosebumps... he was sure now.. what he and shilpa share has always been much more than friendship.. it was just yesterdays complete incidence that made them aware of feelings for each other..other than jus friendship.. armaan smiled to himself and quickly got up to find the room empty..
first he was tensed..but then thought better of it and thought of quickly freshning before he made his way towards the others.
but..luck was not with rey..as soon as he freshened up and came out,the train had almost reached goa...and by the time he packed and got out of the train...
it was only sid n rey waiting for him whereas the girls had already taken an available cab to the resort... armaan almost swore loudly but quickly hid it so as not to be caught by sid.
...
The party was scheduled to begin around 7... it was already 7.45 but there was no clue about shilpa. kria and ridz had already joined the guys 15 minutes back and when armaan enquired about shilpa... they said she was getting ready and would be here any minute..
he waited..
atlast he saw a figure descend down the stairs..he couldnot clearly make out because it was quiet dark in the party hall.. it was only when the figure almost reached them that rey realized it was shilpa..his breath got stuck just by glancing at her once..
infact majority boys out there were literally gawking at her.. shilpa looked breath taking in her deep green saree with a matching pair of earrings and a backless blouse.
ridz and kria quickly hugged her and complimented her...whereas even sid and rey like 2 gentlemen held each of her hand and kissed it..complimenting her about how fine she looked in saree.
All this while armaan stood beside them just admiring shilpa...now that he has realized his feelings for her and was almost certain that she feels the same...he could no longer stay away from her even for a while. But just as he was about to go to her..he saw sid n rey kissing shilp'as hand!
he boiled instantly...but somehow marched towards her and pulled her away from their grasps... He quickly made his way towards the adjoining garden of the resort that faced the sea.
shilpa stood there waiting for him to continue..but armaan was just staring ahead into the sea...
but just a moment later he was on his knees...and held her hand in a firm grip. He then told..looking directly at her..'lets make this short and not waste even a single moment from now..cz i really cant wait to stay wid u, near u and embrace you all my life... I really love you.. maybe since forever but was just late to realize it. i know you too reciprocate my feelings..but just for the formality.. will u b mine forever shilpa malhotra?' shilpa with tear filled eyes nodded a yes with a smile...
Then armaan continued..'so hereby im making you mine through this bond of engagement for now'...and he quickly slid a ring onto her finger...'which i promise will be VERY SOON completed with marriage'..finished armaan.
And just as he got up and was about to hug shilpa..there came siddima.. they passed them a knowing smile and quickly handed shilpa another engagement ring..without any further enquieries shilpa too slid the ring onto armaan's finger and both almost hugged and kissed at the same time...
promising each other a wonderful future together...
and of everything that came to their minds at that instant...
After settling..both stayed in each others arms for god knows how long...
Both feeling completely happy and content in the embrace of their Love...
