CHAPTER 5

"No not this dress!" Khushi's mother Sneha was confusingly studying her actions. "Khushi! What are you doing?" Khushi looked at her shocked at her entry. "Mumma I can't find a dress to wear!" Her mother looked at her with "What the hell" expressions. "And what is all these thrown on your bed?" She asked pointing at the dresses on the bed. "Mumma! I know that! But they are not good!" Khushi sat on the bed. "Hmm I see whats happening" She smiled. "What?" Khushi asked. "you will get it later." He mother said teasingly.

"Wear this" She picked up a blue anarkali and handed it to her. "Anarkali? At office?" Khushi looked at the anarkali. "Yeah! Whats the problem? Going to office doesn't mean you have to wear western stuff." She smiled at her. "Oh thanks mumma! You are the best!" Khushi hugged her tight. "And I am sure Arnav will like it" She winked at her daughter and went out of the room. Khushi felt hell awkward. "Why did she say that? I'm not doing this for arnav! No way! Wait! But I think I am.. Khushi.. Listen you are going for an interview not on a date!"

Arnav was constantly looking at the door. "Why is she so late? Or isn't she coming?" Arnav felt sad at that thought. Just then he heard a knock at the cabin door. It was Khushi! Finally! He had asked his secretary to send her directly to his cabin when she arrive. "Your secretary has changed" Khushi said settling herself in the chair. . "I guess." He smirked. "You are b' that dress is beautiful" He quickly changed the "You" to "dress".

"Oh thanks. Is it Okay of I wear these kinda dress at office?" She asked nervously. "Yes ofcourse." He smiled. They finished the interview. "You are my new PS" Arnav said extending his hand to shake hands with her. She shook her hands with him and said. "Thank you" She smiled at him. "Your welcome. So join from tomorrow onwards."

Khushi entered her house with a sad face. Her dad and mumma looked at her. "What happened? Did you get the job?" He asked her. "Di, tell na!" Her sister Tia came to her. "I got the job!" She screamed in joy. They have a family hug. "So when are you joining?" Her father asked. "Tomorrow." She said excitedly.

"Chote I have been noticing you from a while. Why are you smiling? Whats the matter bhai?" Anjali asked him wile serving the tea. He was still in a deep thought. Anjali coughed. "Yes di?" He asked. "Nothing chote" She giggled. Arnav knew she was teasing him about Khushi. "Di its nothing like that okay! Khushi is just an employee" he tried to sound convincing. "Did I say anything about Khushi?" Anjali giggled again. "Di!"

"Anjali why are you teasing my brother-in-law?" Anjali's husband Rohit came and sat beside Arnav. "Exactly!" Arnav looked at her. "I'm not teasing him! Now please don't start your bromance and come lets go" She grabbed her hubby's hand and walked to their room. While going Rohit looked at Arnav and said. "Good luck!" With a wink.He knew his jiju was talking about Khushi.

That day was really long for both of them. They wished if tomorrow would come fast. Khushi opened her eyes and the first thing she did was check the calendar. "Yes! I'm finally going to office!" She quickly grabbed her towel and went inside the bathroom. She took hours for getting ready.

She looked at the clock. "When will it strike 8?" She glared at the clock. "Look don't cheat with me okay! I will throw you out of the house! Strike 8! Now!" She shouted looking at the clock. "Oh my God! Now you have started talking to clocks too?" He mother giggled. She felt embarrassed. "Mumma! I was just'I was just.. Nothing" She brushed the hair from her forehead. "Looks like the clock have understood your talks." She said looking at Khushi. "Its 8!"

"What? We have to go today?" Arnav looked at his secretary. "Yes sir. They have fixed the meeting in Thane. I am really sorry sir I can't go. My mother is really ill and she needs me." She looked guilty. "No no you don't need to be sorry Nisha. I can understand. If you need any kind of help then inform me okay?" He smiled. "Thank you sir" With that she went out of his cabin.

Khushi entered the AR office. She asked the receptionist for Nisha but she told that she is on leave. Khushi entered Arnav's cabin. "Nisha is on leave?" She asked. "Yeah her mother is ill so she has taken leave for few days." He said. "Oh" She felt sad for her. "By the way, you have arrived on the right time. We are going to thane"
