Part 26:

finally the day had come which would mark the union of two bodies into one soul...all wre busy in the preperations...when geet came out all wished her and made her ready for the haldi ceremony...in this the haldi would come from the groom's home...that is the haldi would be first applied to him and this would be removed and applied on the bride...this is to enhance the beauty of the bride oa this special day...

this was accompanied by dancing...after applying haldi geet was made to bath with milk...after that she was taken to make ready for the evening ceremony...when geet went to her room her cell started to ring...it was her friend from south calling her to wish on her birthday...

F:hey geet happy birthday dear...

G:thanks yaar...

G:nothing...just sitting simply...

G:oh sorry dear i cant give treat this thime...as i am in punjab...

after keeping the reciver she sighed...none of her friends know abot her marrige except naina who knows her inside out...after sometime of rest the beautician came to make geet ready...she wore her lehanga and chli and cmae to get the hair style...then they did the makeup and made her wear the chunni...she was looking the world's best bride for her maan...

in the groom's home maan was made ready and naintara put kajal in maan's eyes...then maan's aunt made him wear the turban and then he was made to sat on the horse by dev and daksh...on the way to the venue on barat they stopped on the temple and maan's mom wispered "bring my Daughter safely to home"...and then maan climbed the horse and they continued the possession while maan's mom returned home to welcome her daughter...

when maan reached there they were welcomed in a grand manner by the handa's...after entering maan was called to the stage to perform pooja...he went there and mohinder performed pooja and maan promised to keep geet happy always...after pooja geet was called...her entered the stage and every one was dumbfound with her beauty...the most was maan...he was lost staring at her...geet came and stood next to him and the pandit said to exchange the gralands...the first was maan...he took the garland near geet...when he was about to put it geet's brothers lifted her...they all started hooting...but somehow maan managed to put thga garland...now it was geet's turn...she took the garland near maan...his relatives were saying him to trouble her...but he just bent infront of her...the girl's hooted...

after this all came to meet them then dinner was served but before dinner the photographer asked them to pose for some pics...maan held geet in his arms and posed for the pics...geet was shocked but she didnt say anything but was enjoying internally...after dinner geet was took inside and made to change a simple redsaree... while the groom was made to sit in the mandap and the pandit did pooja...after sometime the bride was called... geet came to the mandap and sat near maan...she could sense maan feeling up comfortable but didnt know why so she just shrugged it...mohinder had already refused to do the kanyadaan...then the pandit started chanting mantras for the happiness of the couple...then they were asked to stand for the pheres...maan held geet hand and took 4 pheres promising her to be with her till the end of life...the next 3 phere geet was front and promised maan that she will try to be with him in all his happiness and sorrows...

then the pandit asked to fill the maang with sindoor...maan took a pinch of it and looked at geet with all his love and then lifted the maang tika and applied the sindoor...geet felt immense happiness to belong to the person whom she had given her whole self...then maan took the mangal sutra and placed it on geet's neck...while tying it he purposfully burshed his hands on geet's back making her to widen her eyes...she looked at maan with anger...he slowly wwhispered...if a am sitting simply u are not seeing me...so only i did this...and winked her...

after that they two got aashirwaad form the pandit and the pandit declared"aaj se aap dono pati patni hai" then maan went to get aashirwaad from geet's parents...and then his bro and bhabi...they were all set for bidai...when maan wes searching for the shoes dev nugged him...

D:bhai ur saalis took ur shoes...

M:oh...

hearing this geet smiled inwardly...she was looking for naina...she couldnt find her...she went to search for her...she crossed a room where she saw naina and daksh talking...naina was hugging daksh...it was in no sense a normal hug between friends...

N:daksh dear...i really like u from the day i have seen u...

D:[fully in trance]really naina...

N:yes dear...[cupping his face...]

D:oh...i too...

saying so he started to bring his face closer and taking the oppurtinity naina snached the shoes and ran away leaving behind a confused daksh to ponder what happened...she ran out not before shouting..."like and u!!!never even in my dreams...so keep ur dreams away from me..."it took some time to understand then he became sad...it didnt take much time for geet to realise that daksh loved naina...but is impossible for naina to love him...

geet went to the mandap to see naina making maan wear the shoes and she goot the "neak"...then it was the time for bidai...mohinder and rano cried holding geet...she too cried but said that she would came bact after 15 days...so she is not going far from them...then geet and maan sat in the decorated car and set for their new journey...
