"Arnav what are you hiding from me???" she screamed.

'What to hide from you...???" answered a confused arnav.

"About you and lavanya...is thier sumthing between you two???" she asked softly.

"Yes!!!!!! Yes there is...i love her...!!!!" he said firmly.

Silence was eating up the room. Arnav and khushi stared into each other's eyes. Thier heart demanding answers from each other.

Khushi was dumbstruck. She didn't move at all. She felt her world was falling apart. The thing which she feared the most , losing her arnav. Arnav saw khushi's face becuming white. He had no clue as to why she was reacting like this. Her tears were affecting him and he didn't know why. Arnav had held khushi by the shoulders , but he released her.

Karan and lavanya had seen all this. Lavanya understood that both arnav and khushi shared sumthing special. But she knew this too that Arnav Singh Raizada was very adamant to accept his true feelings. She was feeling very guilty. She was about to leave when arnav had caught her by the wrist. She turned around shocked at his behaviour.

Arnav pulled lavanya forcibly towards him and she crashed on her chest. In a harsh tone he replied, "Khushi , what type of a frend are you??? I thought that you will be happy knowing that your best frend has found his sumone special but...luk at you...your crying like anything...". Hearing this comment khushi's blood boiled even more. But still she choose to remain silent.

"ENOUGH ASR!!!!!!" screamed karan from behind. He shocked and embarassed of his frend. "Arnav how can you behave like this when you know that..." but before he could finish , arnav said "Karan i don't love khushi!!!!!!!! And who sed that first luv is always fulfilled?!" . Karan was fuming in anger.

"Guys...lets cut the cake...come on...!!!!" exclaimed khushi. She wiped away her tears and put up a fake smile. Everybody was confused at her behaviour. She quickly took hold of karan's hand and all them gathered near the table. Khushi cut the cake in silence and fed karan. Arnav didn't like it. Every year , khushi used to feed him first and then the rest. Then arnav noticed khushi advancing towards him. But then he saw that khushi was handing over his piece to lavanya. He also heard her say "Lavanya feed this to your boyfrend...as it is that today you two have started a new relationship..." putting up a fake smile on her face , she went away leaving a guilty lavanya behind.

"Umm...khushi mind if we stay here tonight becoz its raining pretty heavily..." exclaimed karan , who tried to change the topic. "Hmm..." was khushi's answer.

From the time they had cut the cake , khushi didn't speak to anybody. She lay down on her bunk and closed her eyes. "She is my best frend...i thought that she would be very happy to know that im in a relationship...but why..." he luked at her sleeping form. But only khushi knew that she can never ever sleep peacefully again.

It was raining heavily. The thunders were clapping. But khushi had given up every fear of hers becoz she herself doesn't want to belong to herself. She didn't know but she was breaking from inside. She didn't cry. Becoz she was too tired. Past images started to flash at the back of her mind. How she had met arnav in class 8. How they used to fight over small small things and how , at the end of the day , they used becum frends again. How he had proposed her in the end of class 9. And they had kissed each other senselessly.

Yes. At that time khushi understood that she was in luv. It was not infatuation or crush. It pure , innocent luv. She was shattered. She still remembered how he had proposed to her , on her BIRTHDAY...

(FLASHBACK)

"Khushi i love you..." he whispered into her ears. They were standing there in the terrace and arnav was hugging her. She was shocked to hear this. But before she could say anything , arnav pressed his lips on hers. It was a sweet yet demaning kiss.

As they gasped for breath , khushi asked him about the day when he screamed at karan , telling him that he didn't like khushi.

Arnav just smiled. He took her into another kiss and said "Well...i didn't understand my love for you then...".

But after 1 year , things started to change between them. How he started to treat her as a best frend rather than a girlfrend. But they never broke up.And finally , today , she got her answers...

(END OF FLASHBACK)

Khushi was standing on the teracce , completely drenced. She always used to enjoy the rain as it brought back memories of her childhood , but this time , it brought only sadness with itself. She didn't notice when she fell asleep on the bench of her terrace. And this she had a sleep. Not peaceful , but a quite sleep. As if the nature had lulled her to sleep.

Next morning , Arnav woke up and luked at khushi's bunk. He saw that she was missing. He thought that she might in the kitchen but she was not there too. He searched the whole house but couldn't find her. Then he remembered. It was raining last night. She loves rain. He quickly ran towards the terrace and opened the door.

There , he saw her sleeping on the bench , drenced in water. Arnav quickly took her in his arms and she automatically adjusted herself to her new found body heat. He entered her room and placed her softly on her bed. He luked at her face. She luking divine. As soon as he was about to move , he felt a tug near his collar. He saw that khushi had caught hold of his vest and was not letting go. "Even in your unconscious state , you go on fighting with me khushi..." he thought and smiled nervously. He removed her hand and went down to have his breakfast.

After sumtime khushi came down. Her face had lost the radience and she was luking like a zombie. "Gud morning..." everyone exclaimed together.

"Hmm..." was khushi's answer.

Arnav was serving the food when suddenly , khushi said "Are yu giving me poison???". Hearing this arnav was shocked. How could she think so low of him. Didn't she know him??. "Khushi why will i give you poison..." but before he could finish , khushi tasted the food. She got up and asked him "Did you make this dish???". Arnav nodded. Khushi took the plate and threw it away. The plate crashed near lavanya's foot.

Arnav and karan were astonished by her behaviour. "Karan , can you drop me to school today???? I think we should leave lavanya and her boyfrend alone..." said khushi. 'Her Boyfrend' . This struck arnav the most. He was no more arnav to her. He was 'Lavanya's Boyfrend". "No , khushi its ok...we all will go together..." said lavanya but khushi was adamant that she wanted to go alone. So karan decided to drop her school.

Khushi started avoiding everybody excepting karan. She was no the bubbly , naughty , Khushi Kumari Gupta. She was serious and practical. She had changed a lot. One day , khushi had accidently bumped into arnav.

"Watch where your going you stupid creature...!!!!!!!!!!" screamed khushi. She saw that it was none other than arnav. "Oh!! Its you Raizada. Watch where your going..." she exclaimed and went away. And sumwhere down the line , arnav was feeling guilty about him being the sole reason of her drastic change in behaviour.

As they entered the class , thier english teacher entered too. "Okay class , today i will start with the love story of Romeo and Juliet." The students expressed thier least interest in the topic , but the teacher started. She then saw khushi , playing with her pencil. She asked her a question and khushi stood up. "Khushi , tell me how do you define love?????" asked the teacher. Hearing this her blood boiled but she remained calm.

"Mam . love is the most patheric thing in one's life. One should know that only money matters to everybody and not luv.Its the biggest joke of one's life and will definitely make a fool out of the one who had fallen in it. Emotions really don't work out for me as I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN LUV...!!!!!!" saying this she sits down , leaving everybody , especially arnav astounded. As soon as he heard her answer his head sprang up. She couldn't believe that khushi said that. The girl who always used to believe in fairytales is telling today that LOVE IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!

Khushi didn't even bother to luk at arnav. But little did she know that arnav was now questioning his own actions.
