HEAL MY HEART

Arnav was in a hurry. He so wanted to tell khushi that finally , he had found the girl he would love the most. Yes , today , lavanya had accepted his proposal. And today was his khushi's birthday too. As he was lost in his thoughts , he bumped into his buddy , Karan. "Karan , is everything ready...???" whispered arnav. Every year he would give khushi a surprise party. And he decided that he would tell about his new relationship today itself. He had never hidden anything from her. "Yes , my lover boy everything is set and done..." whispered Karan.

Khushi was walking down the corridor when she bumped into , none other than lavanya. "Oh , im so sorry...!!!!!" both exclaimed together. And then they burst into laughter. " Hey , chamkili , so sorry i didn't notice you at all..." said an embarassed lavanya. Lavanya Kashyap , was a very sweet girl. She never held any grudges against anybody and liked khushi a lot too. "Its ok , lavs..." smiled khushi. They both started to walk along as they were in the same class. Khushi noticed a bracelet on lavanya's hand. Curiousity sprang over her , and she asked who gifted it. " Actually , ar..." but they were interuppted by karan. "Lavanya , umm...i have to tell you sumthing..." stammered karan.

"But..." retorded lavanya.

Karan successfully pulled away lavanya from khushi and dragged her to thier empty class. As she entered she saw arnav sitting. She gave a shy smile. But interupped thier eye lock.

"If anybody's interested in me then can i say sumthing???" he asked sadly.

"Don't worry Karan Mehra , nobody's interested in you..." smirked arnav and lavanya laughed.

"Not funny guys...Ok i was talking about khushi..." said karan.

"Oh yes" exclaimed arnav. He turned towards lavanya and luked at her confused expression. He then clarified that today was khushi's birthday and they were planning a surprise at her house as her parents were in london. "Oh wow...khushi's birthday...this gotta be fun guys..." she exclaimed. Arnav and karan explained her the whole plan and the trio were ready for action.

"Hey , karan...wait..." exclaimed khushi. As she was about to enter the class she saw the three of them coming out. Karan turned around and saw khushi. He became nervous. Arnav clenched his teeth and told him "If except a burp comes out of our stomach in front of khushi...then you have it..." and went away. Lavanya was highly embarrassed and started giggling. Arnav held lavanya's hand and went away.

Khushi noticed that they were whipering sumthing into each other's ears. And then what she saw gave her a little shock. Arnav grabbed lavanya's hand and went away. She started to feel insecure and jelous. "No, if they had sumthing either of them would have clarified it to me since im connected to both of them..." she thought. But then she tossed away the thought as she watched how nervous karan was getting as she came near him.

"Karan will you..." but she left the sentence in mid air as she saw karan gulping down the last piece of burger and running away. "What's up with everybody..." she thought and entered the class.

Khushi and arnav used to sit with each other and everybody thought that they were a couple. But today as she saw arnav and lavanya entering the class hand in hand she felt a bit upset. She saw arnav walking past thier place and sitting beside lavanya. She was utterly confused. Then she got a text from arnav saying that " Is it ok if i sit with lavanya from today???". Khushi was shocked to see this. She could feel her tears forming and threating to come out any moment now. But she retained herself and turned around and gave him a sweet smile. He uderstood her gesture and thanked her.

Karan noticed that the seat beside khushi , which was usually occupied by arnav was now empty. He felt bad. He knew khushi's feelings towards arnav. Karan was like a godfather to her. Her protector. He remembered how khushi was heartbroken two years ago due to arnav.

(FLASHBACK: TWO YEARS AGO)

"Arnav , you know that khushi loves you then why are you..." argued karan. This was the upteenth time that he had tried to convince arnav about him and khushi. He knew that both of them shared a special bond , but it was arnav who always denied it.

"Karan , i don't love khushi , i ..." but before he could complete the sentence , they heard a thud sound on the ground.

As arnav turned around , he saw khushi lying unconscious. "Khushi..." he screamed.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

Karan went up to khushi and sat beside her. "So...your giving me company???" asked khushi. Karan nodded.After sumtime they were informed that the subject teacher was absent and there was no substitution. Everybody screamed in joy. Khushi luked up at arnav but saw that he was engrossed in a deep conversation with lavanya. She was becuming more and more upset.

Arnav leaned over to lavanya's ear and asked her " So , what are you going to wear for the party???" Lavanya said that it was a surprise. But she also expressed her sadness that they were hiding sumthing so big as a relationship from khushi. "I promise you lavanya , i will tell her everthing today itself..." he sighed and gave her a side hug. Khushi saw this and after a long time , a lone tear escaped her eyes. She remembered how her heart ached two years ago and how it ached now. This time it the pain was unbearable.

Khushi ran out of the class which nobody could notice. She went into the girls washroom and cried her heart out. Two other girls came in. They were extremely jelous of khushi as she was closest to arnav. They started with thier rants. "Oh come on little doll. Wke up. You think that boy like arnav would roam around you always...He must have got sumone special." The girls said and every word became injected in her heart. Amidst all this , she had forgotten about her own birthday.

Thier school ended and the trio of arnav , lavanya and karan went inside khushi's house. They made all the preparations and were eagerly waiting for khushi to enter the house. They started whispering to each other as they heard the door open. Arnav jumped from behind the sofa and exclaimed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BABY DOLL...".

The lights were on and arnav went crushed khushi to his body. He inhaled her scent. So pure and innocent. As thier bodies collided to each other , thier body started to respond , ovlivious to the fact that they were having odions. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY..." whispered arnav to her ear.

This brought back khushi to reality and she jerked off arnav's hands from her body.She remembered what those girls told her in the washroom. She was dazed. Her eyes bloodshot. Arnav understood that she was hiding sumthing from them. "Khushi tell me...what happend????" he asked worriedly.

"Arnav what are you hiding from me???" she screamed.

'What to hide from you...???" answered a confused arnav.

"About you and lavanya...is thier sumthing between you two???" she asked softly.

"Yes!!!!!! Yes there is...i love her...!!!!" he said firmly.

Silence was eating up the room. Arnav and khushi stared into each other's eyes. Thier heart demanding answers from each other.
