Arnav Singh Raizada was at the top of the fashion industry ladder at such an early age, twenty eight years old. Its funny how life can make you do certain things and change itself around completely in matters of days.
Where ever he was now, was all because of his hard work and sweat he had put in. He had is AR industries spread widely across the states and internationally. It had taken time and patience, in the end being totally worth it.
Arnav traveled alot because of work, his main branch was in Chicago and he had to come here frequently making it difficult for him as he lived few fours away. The daily commute wasted his time unnecessarily, leading him to buy an apartment in the center of downtown, close to his work. He didnt stay the entire time, he would come up for a week, month or two depending on the work. There was no way in hell his di would let him stay away from home, from her too long. Her and nani were perfect drama queens, not to forget mamiji, but she mostly kept herself busy with her kitty parties, spa appointments and whatever else.
He was looking through the recent photoshoot album, when he received a call from the federal department. He had no relation whatsoever with the government except the taxes, but knowing he may need their help in the future and not wanting to mess with the authority, Arnav agreed to keep the girl at his place.
Their explanation seemed reasonable and he was a probably a safe person to be with. Not everyone could get a hold of him so easily.
Arnav didnt bother having anything ready for her. There was a guest room, that she will be using, it was ready to use and if she needed anything else then she can call the housekeeper, he thought to himself.

Khushi was quiet the entire ride to her new place for three months. She didnt care if she was going in denial, staring out the window at the lighted city, she tried to clear her head. There was a migraine coming on and she could not afford to fall ill in any way.
Her plan was to get there and crash, she will think about everything tomorrow. There was nothing she could do now, no where she could run and she didnt know anyone to go for help. In other words Khushi Gupta was stuck. She had no choice but to trust those people.
The car came to a stop, alerting Khushi they had reached the apartment. The driver came around to open the door for her. She got out, he helped with her bag and asked her to follow him. They were in some sort of a parking garage Khushi noticed, there were cars parked as well. They approached an elevator and got in. Khushi nearly yelped out when she how many floors were on there. Freakin fifty four story complex. And of course the dude had to press the fifty second floor.
"Hai devi maiyya, raksha karna" muttered Khushi, paling already.
They got out and walked down the hall. There were only about four or five doors. Good thing, wont have to deal with neighbors, thought Khushi before she realized where she was and how those 'neighbors' will most likely not even know she existed just down the hall.
The driver knocked on the door, it didnt take two seconds for the door to be pulled open. There stood a woman, probably in her forties, in black pants and white dress shirt.
"Good Evening" she greeted in a crisp tone, not making Khushi feel better in any way.
"Sir mentioned you will be coming over for a stay and has me in charge of you. Please come in."
"H-hi" Khushi barely managed to speak out.
She walked in and turned to see the driver bring her trolley bag in and give her a slight nod before he left, leaving her alone with this khuroos looking house keeper.
Right next to the door was an antique table with mirror wall-mounted, and a key and mail hanger nailed on to the wall across it. The house keeper led her down the short foyer, which opened into a big room in front and a kitchen on the side. The scene that unfolded in front of Khushi's eyes was breathtaking. She stood there with her mouth hanging open in awe, forgetting for a whole minute how she even ended up here.
She didnt know where to start and how to describe what she was looking at. There was a huge, nearly wall sized glass window looking out at the city. It was a gorgeuos sight. The curtains were tied at the ends, material begging to let go so it can fall softly. Off white plush sofas angled in the center, with dark and light brown plain cushions. A glass table with again antique legs stood in middle of the sofas on an expensive beige rug, matching the color of the curtains.
You could see the kitchen right across, it was the dream kitchen for cooks. Everything was made in mahogany plywood.
The housekeeper finished showing off the apartment, except the main master bedroom and took Khushi in her given room. A clear sign of rich lifestyle, thought Khushi, standing and examining her room. A queen sized bed lay in the center, with the most comfortable, down feather duvet. A walk-in closet on the side, full bath right across it. A leather love seat near the window, giving the room a look of a suite.
Damn, Khushi thought, she was going to make good use of her room and maybe the whole apartment as well. The housekeeper told her how she comes only in the afternoon and leaves within an hour or so. She let her know the basic things and made her leave, leaving Khushi all alone in the huge upscale apartment.
Khushi straight headed for a quick hot shower before she crashed on the bed and fell asleep pushing the events of the horrific day behind, oblivous to the sound of the lock turning echo in the empty apartment.
