Riddhima was so shocked seeing the way Armaan was behaving in the last few days. He was not at all attentive to her presence. He would simply ignore her. His hang out time with Tanya and her group increased and now he will return around midnight.Though He joined the university back but still, almost half of the time he would be found with Samar and his gang. The girls were getting dangerously close to him. They would casually touch him, kiss him the way they want. But it wasn't the limit. The limit came when once again Niharika kissed his cheek, almost near his lips. Riddhima who was silently observing this scene in the canteen from a lil away was burning with rage.
Something broke inside her seeing him so close to someone else. Her heart was sinking. She felt like something so precious is about to loose.
Armaan, who was getting furious on Niharika's action, saw Riddhima standing nearby and controlling his anger, put his hand around the tiny waist of that girl and plastered a smile on his face like nothing happened. And Riddhima fall for his looks. She felt her breath got caught in her chest. Tears started to gather in her eyes.
"What are you looking at?" a voice caught her attention as she turned to look at a smirking Tanya standing with her hands crossing against her chest. Tanya tilted her head a little to see Armaan holding a girl so close to himself, she mentally patted her back.
She cant explain how much begging she had to do to make him agree with this act. He was horrified when Tanya told him that he had to allow a girl to kiss her and she will make sure that Riddhima see that. Armaan first call was a big NO but on hers constant pressure, he agreed saying that this would be the last time he will allow a girl get that close to him as on him, all rights are reserved with Riddhima and Tanya agreed saying that its her trump card, so need to worry. But to Armaan's badluck, Tanya didn't explain him where the girl is suppose to kiss and Armaan was ready to give her a piece of mind later on.
"Oh Armaan haan...Isnt that guy hot?" Tanya comment teasing Riddhima as Riddhima, as expected, look up at her with a frown.
But whens she didnt say anything, Tanya decided to tease her more till she is literally on the edge.
"You know Riddhima, all girls are having eyes on him...well why not...he is just having that killing looks and body that make girls drool over him ...I have even seen hunger in the eyes of some girls, like only if they get a chance, they will bite him off...Ufff...*SIGH* ...if only, i haven't been already in love...I wouldn't have loose him for anything...especially when i have a benefit to be his friend" Tanya said with a longing and dreamy tone that irritate Riddhima more.
"Stay away from him..." Riddhima warned in anger while gritting her teeth, pointing a finger at her.
"Now why will i do that? I dont see a reason to stay away...he is not committed at all, May be I could help someone to get him" Tanya argued with a wink.
"He is committed...he is my Fiance" and thats the first time Riddhima accepted that to herself too...
"What?" Tanya was seriously shocked this time...Armaan never told her this...
"Yes, he is...we have been engaged from 5 months...get it" Riddhima replied in pure agony.
Tanya composed herself quickly. She cant dare let this chance go... and suddenly, all her words made Tanya smirk more as a plan formed in her mind in a couple of seconds...
"I cant believe that... ...I mean how can a guy like Armaan who is so charming, so handsome could have a fiance like you who don't care a damn where he is or what he is doing around...I mean seriously, who wouldn't like to be insecure about him...Arleast, I would have been keeping tabs on him if he would have been my fiance" Tanya tone was so sarcastic but Riddhima cut her in between before she could say something else
"But he is not your's...He is mine...and you can ask him if you dont believe me" Riddhima said looking away, crossing her hands over her purple top which was doing wonders to her glorious skin and that jeans shorts underneath, perfectly displaying her long creamy legs.
"Now why will i ask him that...I would rather like if you will prove that" Her grin getting wider as Riddhima look at her with a confused expression. Tanya knew that Riddhima was falling into her trap.
"Huh...what???... " she said as her frown deepened.
"Are you afraid of challenges Riddhima??" Tanya was ready to play her trump card now
Riddhima look at her with pure hatred. Challenges are fun for her, and damn her if she back out. Tanya's grin provoked her more and with a determination, she replied
"BRING IT ON..."
"Ahhh...Now that's what possessive fiance do..."Riddhima looked daggers at her, and Tanya knew, this is the look that can kill people easily but she didn't back out.
"Do you know how a girl like to show her possessiveness and love to her fiance?" Tanya grinned saying and saw Samar who just entered the canteen and was talking to his mates.
OMG... WHAT I AM GONNA DO...Tanya thought to herself but she cant back out now as Riddhima eyes were on her face, trying to read what she was having in her mind.
Tanya moved back still looking at her, with a side looped smile. Her fingers indicated a watch me out emotion as she turned and took fast steps towards Samar.
Riddhima's heart was beating furiously just hoping that Tanya is not gonna put a stupid challenge infront of her.
Tanya reached near Samar and made him turn to look at herself. A stunned Samar turn to look at the interruption and was barely able to look at her face when her lips came right on his, making him loose his attention. He groaned back as Tanya arms came around his neck to hold him close and his hands move to take place around her waist and responded back to her shocking kiss in full appreciation.
While all others were looking at them in awe...Riddhima and Armaan were shocked out from there guts with this PDA. Where Armaan was thinking whats going on here with this sudden change of scene...Tanya was supposed to confront Riddhima and make her realize about her actions and feelings, Riddhima was feeling a lump in her throat seeing and on getting what she have to do. Is she serious???
Samar back up feeling out of breath to look at Tanya's flushed face. Not bearing his gaze anymore, Tanya hug him tightly as that was the first kiss they shared and her innocent shyness made him chuckle. Some of there Friends hoot and clap for them making them both blush.
Tanya looked up from over his shoulder, still with a crimson face and her eyes were challenging and that ignite more flame in Riddhima's already burning body. She responded her with a frowning look and turn on her heels to go where Armaan was standing, who was still trying to digest the scene.
Riddhima's heels clanked to the floor as she took determined steps towards Armaan.
Armaan as if on a feeling, turn to look at her just to find her coming towards himself, taking long strides.
But that confusion got cleared quickly when he saw Tanya giving a wide smile to him in the back and he got it.
That was all to provoke Riddhima???
He felt disgust.
No matter how much he wanted her, he never wanted her to do anything, that is so cheap. He shook his head with a dismissed look and felt Riddhima just on a few feet away.
"I willnt let this stupidity happen..." Armaan promised himself and as soon as Riddhima reached to him and was about to hold him from his nape, he caught hold of her hand and dragged her away, making Riddhima and Tanya stunned.
Riddhima was getting pulled roughly behind him but was unable to say a word.
Armaan was so furious on one side, and on the other side was feeling so guilty to push her. He wanted her to acknowledge her feelings for him but never wanted her to get into such a situation as the one, she had to face a few moments back.
She was a proud girl and could go nuts to prove her power, but he wasnt that ruthless.
After getting out from the eyes of students, Armaan pulled her behind a campus building where no one was in view. He pushed her to the wall, and after making her steady, moved back three steps to put some distance.
Riddhima was looking at him with hallow eyes as he run his hands in his hairs with aggression.
"What the hell was you about to do?" he spatted out and for the first time, Riddhima didnt have any answer. She was standing there with a shut mouth.
"Riddhima" Armaan called out to her in a soft voice as her eyes filled with tears, look up at him.
His heart cried as he moved forward and took her in his arms...and for the first time, Riddhima felt how safe that place was...
His warmth was surrounding her as his hands came around her back, moving up and down soothing her. Her few tears got absorbed in his shirt as she sniffed and Armaan pulled himself back, still keeping her in his arms.
"Why are you crying now?" He wipe those awful tears away from her face.
"Why you were getting close to those chipmunks?" she questioned back in shivering voice that made Armaan chuckle.
"Does it matter if someone else came that close to me..." He asked tracing her jaw with his thumb. Riddhima felt a shiver with his soft touch as she leaned back on the wall and he moved with her.
"Does it??" He questioned again when she didn't answer and with that, she pushed his hand away from her face.
"I feel strange..." Her reply brought a small smile on his face...but he didnt dare say a word...He wanted her to say, say everything she feel.
She looked up to see his smile and that made all her shyness and hesitation left the place. Her fingers dipped into his shirt and with a pull, she brought him towards herself.
"You dare get close to anyone else Armaan, and I will shrew you into pieces..." She warned him.
"You feel bad??" He questioned with an amused look at that sudden change of her behavior,
"I feel jealous..." She confessed straightly. The both look into eachother eyes for a moment. His amused and happy one's meet her angry and blazzing one's and he feels at home.
"Why?" He whispered cupping her face in one hand,
"You belong to me...Aren't you my best friend? Aren't you my fiance? How dare you let anybody get that close to yourself" her hand stroked him on his shirt as her eyes watered up once again, feeling almost betrayed.
"Shhh" he whispered as he crushed her into his arms. "Stupid girl" he mumbled...
"I heard that..." She said with a sniff that made armaan smile once again.
"Riddhima" he sigh taking her name.
"You know when you ignored me...I feel totally lost...I asked myself these same questions?" He rubbed her hand upside down...making her calm
"I asked myself that You are my bestfriend...You are my fiance...how can you ignore me like this?" he wanted to pour out his heart and Riddhima listened him carefully.
"Then what answer you find" she whispered against his chest, snuggling deep into it.
"I find out that i can't hold your life...You were right...I should have explain you my feelings before trapping you in this engagement where you can't find a loose hole or option to say No to it..." He cursed himself mentally for putting her in this situation.
There are still many people alive who blame a girl for the fail marriage or broken engagement saying that she must have been at fault or would have done something that made the other take that decision.
How dare he forced Riddhima into this...He wondered...but now, he wanted to rectify his mistake.
"There is still no option for a NO" Riddhima said back seriously. Her change of tone was observed by Armaan and his heart felt a pinch
"Is that a taunt??" he thought as her words stabbed him. He felt a lump in his throat and moved back to withdraw himself, when Riddhima hands came around his waist, making him stand in his place. Somewhere, his words ring a bell in her mind. She also felt that same aggression, same possessiveness, he used to explain about, and now, it was all making a sense for her
"I will talk to everyone Riddhima...I will make Ma, Papa, Uncle Aunty understand that..." He wanna eased her pain But before he could complete, Riddhima put her fingers on his lips, stopping him in between.
"I don't want that" she replied with a determined voice.
"Then what you want?' came a straight question from him and his eyes were easily depicting a fear emotion.
"You...just you..." Her words seemed like giving him a life back. A smile lift up on her face as that smile followed his face too...
"Riddhima" he wanted to say many things but she cut him again.
"First listen to me..." She took a deep breath and look again into his eyes. "I have pretty much realize that i want you, that i cant see you with anyone else...but Armaan, I need time...I need time to figure out these emotions and the reasons for it...Can we take this slowly?" She requested and that was enough for Armaan.
He cupped her face once again in between in hands, looking straight into her eyes.
"We can...I love you Riddhima...and you know that...and you have all the time of the world to figure out your feelings..." Love was completely shinning into his eyes and smiling brightly, Riddhima again fall into his arms, feeling peaceful and happy...and for Armaan, this moment is all that was enough for him to cherish for a life time.
Soon, they were back to there oldself. They will roam around in the university, share meals, talk endlessly, tease eachother and will stay awake late in the nights to watch movies or just discussing there day.
But Nothing felt the same as before. There was a different charm that all these moments contain now. Riddhima would be eagerly waiting for the time to spend it with him. Sometimes, she do wonder, was this before too that she liked to ignore or is this all something new...but whatever it was, she was loving it.
Armaan asked her to not utter those 3 words to him until she is not fully assured and she was happy to see the understanding level, they had created in between themselves over the time.
It had been a year that they shifted to USA. They both hadn't make a trip to India, to be back home with there parents. They were avoiding that purposefully as when Armaan would have exams, Riddhima wouldnt like to leave him and vice versa, But this time, Armaan had to go, as his parents asked him to get back home cause Muskaan has choosed a boy for herself and they had to fix this relation and being elder brother, his presence is necessary. Later Muskaan called too, almost begged him to come back so that she can make him meet this man of her dreams. Riddhima was having exams and Armaan wasn't feeling like leaving but then, Muskaan pastured Riddhima and she made him agree
Armaan with a sulking face left her there but it was the time, when Riddhima realize how much his presence meant to her.
Without him, the house she lived almost 13 years of her life, feels so empty. She wouldn't like to eat anymore without missing him. After her exams, she will just like to stay in the home as she stopped going out with her friends. She would sneak into his room to feel his presence. Many times, she even fell asleep in his quilt as that will make her feel the warmth of his embrace and give her a feeling of protection. He would call her daily to ask about her day or exams, but its not like that, now is it??
She was observing her actions herself and now, just imagining her life without Armaan, seems like a horror dream. No, she can't live without him...and thats the time when she confessed to herself, that she had fell head over heels for him, for his devilish charms. and now, she was just waiting for his return. She promised herself to not make him suffer anymore, and just as he will return, she will say it.
Muskaan's Roka was done in Armaan's presence. As much as he was happy for his little sister, he was missing Riddhima terribly and after spending 15 days away from her, he booked an earlier flight making an excuse of an assignment, and rushed back to USA.
The sound of the bell woke Riddhima up. Like most of the days, she was once again sleeping in Armaan's bed. She stretched her arms and scratched her head as she get out from the bed and moved towards the main door.
"Who is it??" With groggy eyes, she opened the door only to hear a chirpy "Good Morning" saying voice.
Her eyes suddenly opened wide as she saw Armaan standing infront of her with a bright smile and without taking a second, she landed herself into his arms, making him take a step back with the force.
"Armaan" He laughed and felt overjoyed with her actions as he hugged her back.
Riddhima was feeling so happy inside out that she could barely explain and was totally unaware of the envoitnment around but Armaan did notice a few oldies, who were out for there morning walk, giving them strange looks as they were still standing in the door
Riddhima wasn't ready to let him go so he lifted her up from her waist and get inside the house and pulling her down, with the help of his feet, close the door behind.
"I so missed you...Promise me you will never leave me alone like this" She said nuzzling his neck.
"Ok, I willn't...I missed you too" Armaan give her a tight hug, before releasing her. She look up into his eyes and he found tears swimming inside.
"Awww...what happened?" he was concerned...
"I...I felt...so lonely...I missed you" she said once again trying to make something clear to him. But he was just smiling plainly...
"Ok baba...I promise, I willn't leave you alone...now can i bring my luggage in?" Armaan laughed at his question realizing how he had totally forget about that hand carry, he brought with himself at the door on just getting received so warmly...
But he was barely able to turn, when Riddhima hand came around his arm, turning him and pushing him against the door, she lifted herself on her toes to claim his lips trying to show him, what hidden meaning she had behind that missing part.
Armaan was shocked seeing her reaction but her lips were moving softly over his. and God!!! they tasted so sweet. After first few moments of shock, he responded back to that kiss. His hands silkily moved around to get hold of her slender waist. Her arms came up after traveling the journey of his arms, his broad shoulders to his neck and finally lost themselves in his think hairs. His lips stroked and cherished corner of her lips before his tongue throbbed them, asking for an entrance and feeling reluctant first, she allowed him in. He groaned at the back of his throat on feeling the sweetness of her mouth and kissed her hungrily and she responded back with the same passion. It seems like he was thirsty and she is his oasis. He devour her till they were out from breath and moved back.
Riddhima hugged him tightly as her head felt dizzy with this toe curling kiss. His hands stroked her back, trying to calm down her senses as his lips left a few kisses into his hairs.
"I love you Armaan" she whispered, hiding her face deep into his chest. Armaan who was just shocked with her reactions till now was even more thrilled with her confession.
"Haannn...???" He made a sound like he hadn't heard that and that made Riddhima angry.
"I love you Stupid" she said gripping his shirt in her fist and pulled him to herself with a soft pull. Armaan chuckled at her reaction. Typical Riddhima. He thought as he hold her close to himself.
"I love you too..." He said back and her eyes shine up and for Armaan, that was the best feeling he ever had in his life. She again put her face on his chest...and get silent to ensure herself that that all is reality, that she confessed finally.
"If i had known that my absence will make you realize that, i should have gone on a tour long back" And Riddhima hit his chest lightly with a pout.
"You dare think of going away now and you are dead Armaan Malik" she warned.
"Living away from you killed me itself" he commented back before crushing her once again into his arms as they both sigh.
Later on, they both get ready to go to university together. Armaan didn't wanted to stay back home and wait for Riddhima, so decide to go along with her and after months, Riddhima once again wore her engagement ring...
As the entered the university, hands in hands, many heads turn to look at these two who faces were telling the whole tale of love. The meet there friends and sit side by side when Misha noticed the ring in Riddhima's hand
"OMG Riddhima...is that an engagement ring?" she shouted making others head snap at her fingers too.
"Umm...to me it seems like one...don't it?" Riddhima replied with a side looped smile as Armaan smirk. and Sam was all smiles seeing them so happy
"So you were right when you said that you both are engaged?" Tanya's voice made them turn. Over the period of time, Tanya and Riddhima developed a sweet bond in between themselves. Tanya told her that she only gave her that kiss dare as she didn't like seeing armaan suffering for her love. She also told her that he is just a friend for her and all those acts were actually her plan. Riddhima was on a side thankful to her that she explained the stuff to her in person rather than letting Armaan explain it as Riddhima knew, she would have took that wrongly, but Tanya explained her that Armaan what did was just the ignoring part. All other things were done by him. She also told Riddhima how Armaan warned her to not go beyond lines as far as it concerned with kissing and touching and that he said that all rights are reserved with her, and Riddhima felt proud of Armaan.
"Yup...I was" Riddhima said with a grin...
"Seems like the demons of his charms worked on you... haven't they??" Tanya questioned and Riddhima look back at Armaan. Her eyes taking a good look of him and appreciate him.
"They have...the surly have" and she was more than glad to get effected by them...
