Dude seriously you are the master of twists...I was so not expecting "If after one week you still want to buy this house, I will sell it to you. Otherwise, you should never bother us again." I like the father already...By the way just read your edited first part...love the house...it's looks like I imagined

Good SS ... seeing one set in Kerala for the first time ... like the fact that Khushi is actually Kaveri and Payal is Pallavi -- more authentic.

Just one feedback -- I see that you have made Khushi talk in Malayalam and have translations... that is nice-- can you just put a note that Khushi will talk in Malayalam unless specifically mentioned and have only the translations ( note I am not against the Malayalam-- understand quite a bit of it being a Tamilian myself )...

Getting interesting -- update soon!

I am drooling...on seeing the house. It is wow. I also want to go there. Looong sigh!

One kick for mr you know who for His plans of development. And now every time I go and stay in a developed property, I will always think how it was before and what and whether 'improvements' were made for tourists.

I can understand the frustration, but in my head if I don't make her speak in Malayalam, the essence of her character will be lost. Hope it will get easier over time for you if you choose to continue with the story :)

Right? Although I have to say, nowadays, no one would be stupid enough to demolish a nalukettu as they are not made like they used to be made... so, I have taken some creative license in that regard for the purpose of the story :)

I read the Malayalam as well to see if I understand it and to get the feel of what arnav must be hearing which he of course cannot understand and which all of us do, switch to our mother tongue especially when we do not want the other person know what we are saying.

My friends used t always crib when I used to argue with my mom in Tamil in front of them. They would not have a clue as to what we were saying. They used to say it s not fair, you can understand all the north Indian languages including hindi and punjabi and we can't understand yours.

Lol.. someone was asking me how I am going to manage to write a short story! You know brevity is not my forte ;)
