Rey opened the door and shut it back softly trying not to make any noise.. he slowly walked up the stairs and was about to go to his room. but stopped in front of khushi's room.. he slowly,gently opened the door, he looked up to see a sleeping sister, but. instead, he saw that the bed was empty.. he was shocked..
WHERE WAS SHE.. KHUSHI...
"Khushi... Khushi !!!!" Rey screamed as he yelled out... He had tears in his eyes.. and then finally, he let out a sigh and yelled "Didi !!!!!!!! " he said and he fell on the ground on his knees.. He was tearing up and he sobbed and looked around the empty house.. He wondered where he was.. He got up to his feet and frantically started looking for his didi... He went in the kitchen thinking he might be there eating food as she usually did when she was sad.. He searched his room.. parent's room.. her own room again.. hall.. bathrooms... garage... yard.. garden..terrace... EVERYWHERE.. there wasn't one space of the entire house he had spared.. He was so fustrated.. Mad at himself for leaving his older sister in such a condition.. He grabbed his keys and ran outside the house.. he shut the door and was going towards his car when a thought crossed his heart.. his mind...
"YESH.. di has to be there... " he ran back towards his house and opened the door wide open.. he ran up the stairs.. passed his room.. past khushi's room.. past his parents' room... he stopped in front of one door.. which he hadnt checked... the storeroom... he twisted the handle making a long creaky noise.. he opened it... he went inside the dark, lonely hot room.. spider webs all over... he walked more and more inside the room that had been locked for 10 years.. the storeroom... he kept on walking and tripped on a box.. he fell down and ouched... his eyes fell upon a figure sitting there in the dark.. a smile spread across his face and he wiped off his tears... he stood up and slowly walked towards the innocent little girl sitting there...
"di..." rey managed to say..
He walked up and sat on a rusty sofa next to khushi... he looked at her.. she was sitting there quietly not facing him.. She was holding onto an old frame with a picture of two adorable kids.. One girl.. one boy.. the boy was holding onto the girl's hair and the girl was crying.. a smirk passed rey's face.. he remembered that moment..
***FLASHBACK****
"DI, give me back my car now.." he begged with tears in his eyes..
" na na na na " khushi teased him...
" di give it now.. or or.." he said with tiny anger in his face...
"what your going to do cry baby.. haha" she laughed...
Rey went upto her and grabbed her short pony tail causing her pain...The car slipped out of khushi's hands and tears rushed down her eyes.. She was in pain.. But rey didnt stop pulling her hair..
"urggg. let me go.." she begged in pain..
"nope... i wont.. suits you well.." he said with a huge smile on his face... Finally a hand broke his grip and he looked up and saw their mother standing there with a grin on her face.. Rey knew he was in trouble now...But he started to defend himself..
"i ,. i didnt do anything.. she she did.. di took my car away." he said with a puppy face..
"NO I DID NOT.. mama.. he ruined my hair.. it hurts.." she said avoiding the fact that she had taken his car first...
"enough you too.. khushi.. you shouldnt tease your little brother like this. okk" she said with a firm but kind voice..
"hann.. " rey said smiling and teasing khushi making khushi feel bad..
"and you rey.. you shouldnt hurt your sister.. in fact, your her little brother, she ties you rakhi so that you take away all her pain.. okk. dont ever hurt your sister and always promise me that you will protect her from all the struggles and pain in her life..." okk.. she said smiling at rey..
"okk mama..i promise.." he said looking at khushi...

Rey was back from the past and he smiled as he looked at the picture..He looked at his di, who was just sitting there with tears in her eyes.. he put his hand at her shoulder... khushi turned to face rey.. she quickly hugged her brother tightly and sobbed.. tears flowing out her eyes landing on his black leather jacket..
"im sorry bro.. im really sorry... rey..i.." she said..
"shhh.. stop di.. just stop...its okk.. okk. and listen to me now.. its fine.." he said assuring her that everything is normal..
"no its not.. i.. i yelled at you.. when it wasnt even your fault.. i ..how could i.." she breaking the hug
"no di..i understand. okk just.." he said cupping her face and wiping off her tears..
" no rey.. ive hurt you.. my lil bro.. and that too for.. arnav...who.. just mocks me day and night.. i cant believe i was foolish enough to fall for him... " she said annoyed by her own self..
"no di.. its okk.. he'.he's jerk.. just forget about him now.." he said putting his hand on her hand calming her down...
"yesh your right... i should forget him... i.. i..i will forget him.. promise.." she said assuring him...
rey smiled and both hugged each other... rey picked up khushi and took her to her room and layed her on her bed gently...
"ouch moti di.." he said teasing her..
"hey.. i never asked you to take my weight on your delicate arms.. hahaa.." she laughed..
rey laughed with her and put the blanket on her and left the room without turning off the lights as he knew she was afraid of the dark... he closed the door and left towards his own room;..he sat down on his bed hoping that she would fulfill the promise that she just made.. he turned off the lights and slipped into bed...

The next morning, the sun set out bright.. It was the first day of spring break holidays from school... The sun's rays hit khushi's face making her wake up.. she slowly opened her eyes and saw rey sitting by her side all dressed up and ready to go somewhere...
"where are you going bro.." she asked as she yawned and stretched out her arms...
"no me sis.. we.." he said smiling..
"what do you mean.." she questioned him now with her eyes fully wide looking at him..
"we meaning, you, me, armaan, and kria.. we are going outing.. camping..." he said smiling...and he pulled her out of her bed making her stumble on her own steps..she held onto him for support...
"what.. camping.. really...YUPPIIE.." she said shouting out loud as she loved camping.. and rey knew that verry well..
"now good girl.. go and get ready.. ive gotten everything needed for camping.. food. clothing.. tents.. everything.. i even packed your clothes.. now hurry sleepy head.." he said rushing her into the bathroom..khushi ran to the bathroom.. she took a shower.. got ready.. straigtened her hair.. she walked out the room and went downstairs to rey.. she saw rey, kria, and armaan standing their rey's jeep ready to go.. she went out and stood by all 3 of them..
"hey guys.." she said joyfully..
"hey khushi..." all of them said..
"so finally your here.. see we all made this plan to go camping.. ready.. " kria said..
"yupp I am ready always for camping.." khushi said..
"ok then lets go then.. we have everything.." rey said.. rey headed out towards the driver's seat... armaan was heading towards the seat next to rey, but before that.. khushi stopped him..
" i think.. i wanna sit with you today ammy.. umm. let kria sit with rey today.. okk" she said and then turned to kria and winked at her.. kria understood that khushi must of known all this time about her liking her little brother.. she blushed and went to sit with rey... armaan went to the back of the jeep and climbed up and when he got up, he let out his hand to khushi.. khushi looked at his hand and instead of grabbing it, she stuck out her tongue and grabbed the jeep and climbed up.. armaan looked at her and nodded his head and smirked...
khushi and armaan sat next to each other.. and rey looked at kria and smiled.. rey started the jeep and left off.. on the way, rey played the music and music started playing.. he played bollywood music (he knew that khushi loved bollywood music..she had her own dreamworld..),.. khushi started humming the song... it was a long way to the forest... it had already been about 2 hours and the music was still playing.. but the humming had stopped... armaan turned to khushi to see why she had stopped and saw her sleeping.. he smiled and tilted her head so she could rest it on his shoulder...
"your sis is sleeping.." he said to rey..
"haha... i told you..she's a sleepy head..car rides always make her sleepy.." he said smiling and laughin... kria laughed too.. after a while.. the car came to a stop... which broke khushi's precious sleep...
"hmmm.." she said in her sleep...
"wake up dear.. khushi yaar.. wake up.." kria said trying to wake her up..
"wait kria.. she's not going to wake up like this..." he said smirking at both kria and armaan..all 3 of them climbed up the jeep and started tickling her..
"stop it.. stop it guys.. " she said waking up..but they all continued...khushi woke up and started laughing and twisted and bumped her head at the side of the jeep..
"OUCH.." she moaned..
"sorry.." kria said.. and all 3 of them stopped tickling her.. khushi rubbed her head feeling another hand on top of her.. kria's hand trying to give her relief.. khushi stopped rubbing her head and all 3 of them got out their jeep.. she looked around.. beautiful nature surrounded her.. the green nature..birds... trees.. everything looked so pretty.. she smiled and jumped up and down in joy.. rey saw her and smiled.. then all 4 of them got to work.. they got their backpacks and took out the tents and unfolded them.. they set up 2 tents.. one for boys and one for girls.. the boys finished first and they stood there staring at the girls who were struggling to put up their tent.. armaan and rey looked at each other and smiled.. they teased the girls but agreed to help them.. finally.. the tents were ready.. and it was about to be sun set.. they went and got a bunch of branches to light up a fire... finally, after a ton of hardwork, all of them sat infront of the fire and warmed themselves up... they got their dinner which were sandwhiches and ate them...

"yes dude.. you.. me.. angad... and riddhima.. we all are going camping..so be ready.."
"but why camping.. i hate those trees.. bugs.. urgg" arnav said complaining..
"oh common dude.. lets go.. everyone is.. so why not you.." angad yelled on the phone as he had snatched the phone from samrat's hands...
"okk." arnav said giving in to their pleads... "we will leave for camping now..."
