"Hi Dia,umm can I speak to Nupur?"

"umm Mayank you will have to on hold, she is in washroom, let me call her" she replied firmly in soft yet hesitant tone "ok" replying in a bit annoying tone he shook his head Nupur and punctuality are two different things, she could never wake up early in the morning.

Dia made her way towards washroom door and tapped it slightly, "Nupur hurry up, come out of washroom,Mayank is on line" she almost told in hurry tone "what??"A shocking scream slipped out from her lips and her dress slipped from her hands, she bent down and took it gasping to control her raising temper, "Dia,please I said earlier I am in no mood to listen your lame jokes"Nupur replied in unbelieving tone getting annoyed and Dia hit her head sighing..

"Listen Nupur,I am not joking, Mayank is on line, he want to talk to you" trying to keep her voice soft Dia informed her..

"Are you sure,I mean Mayank usually did not call me at this time" sliding in her light pink short dress she asked in confirmation and opened the door in hurry she found Dia in front of door holding her cell phone.

"yes,Ma'am, do talk to him" handling her cell phone she peered out the room shaking her head to see her widened eyes in shock.Nupur gulped her lump composing herself and again looked at her cell phone screen for confirmation where Mayanks name was flashing, she smiled widely and kept it with her ears.

"Mayank"trying to hide her excitement she spoke in soft yet unbelieving voice forgetting that she was angry at him .Mayank sighed finally she was on line, he was about to cut the call as he was getting late for an important meeting.

"So finally you get time to talk to me,I was on hold from the past 10 minutes" Mayank spoke in a bit annoying tone and Nupur who was still lost in her dreamy word came out of it after feeling bitterness in his tone, holding her smile she replied firmly in same tone, "I did not know Mr.Mayank will call me at this time so I would have took shower before"

And Mayank realized his mistake; he should not have talked to her in this tone when she was already upset with him,

"sorry, I did not meant it" with hard difficulty these words escaped from his lips which usually did not come and the reason was he did not want another intense conversation with her he was really tired to get in argument though he wanted to scold her for her unpunctuality but then he slapped away the idea thinking her mother warning to him.Nupur thought for a moment she heard wrong but then she hide surprising tone, "its ok"

He felt bit relax to get succeeded keeping himself away from another fight, "Nupur,umm get ready in the evening, we are going for dinner, I will pick up you at sharp 7"

She almost jumped in excitement but then she tried to get a grip on her emotions, which were veering madly out of control and replied in exciting voice, "ok I will get ready at time"

"fine..so now I cut the call, I have to go for an important meeting, bye" feeling content as of now everything was going smoothly, he was about to disconnect the call when her slight scream stopped him to do that and he sighed irritatingly, "now, why did not you let me disconnect the call, I have said you I am getting late for meeting"

"Mayank I just want to ask, which colour I should wear." she bit her lips in excitement waiting for his reply and Mayank tried to hide his irritation in his voice, "Nupur,do wear whatever you like, you looks pretty in every colour"

He knew his last words were enough to satisfy her, she flushed huge smile, "ok ..ummThanks"she blushed appreciating his those words and Mayank replied in soft tone disconnecting the call. "Bye"

"phewww its seems I have won the war, it was not an easy task to ask her for dinner"Mayank smiled slightly keeping his cell phone aside.

Nupur was jumping and screaming in excitement when Dia opened the door stepping into room, "Nupur what happened to you? Why are you screaming? You know mom said me to check why are you screaming, she is getting angry on you" Dia glared her and Nupur coming close to her hugged her despite giving her reply, "I am so happy Today"

And Dia gave confused look, "what has happened suddenly that's make you so happy"she pulled away Nupur and raised her eye borrows Nupur lifted her eyes at her and gave her grin, "Dia ,Mayank asked me for dinner date, he will be pick up me at sharp 7"Nupur gave her dreamy look and Dia smiled shaking her head, "Well Ms.Nupur,it would be only dinner you should remove the word 'Date' from your sentence as I know there is no "date" word in Mayank's dictionary " she add bit sarcastic tone and Nupur glared her opening her cupboard, "so what??i less care if it would be dinner date or just dinner, the thing which matter to me is that we are going to spend time together after a week"

She grinned flipping her eyes to lost in her thoughts and Dia shook her arm, "Ma'am please come out of your dreamy world"she laughed at Nupur teasing her and Nupur giving her angry glare took out her dresses from cupboard and threw them on bed, "sometimes Dia,I feel you are not my sister" she accused Dia for her teasing and got giggled from her.

"Ok sorry, carry on,I am going in kitchen to help mom" giving kiss on Nupur's cheek she said and moved towards door when Nupur again stopped her by calling her name.

"Dia please, suggest me what dress I should wear?"she pouted giving look to her all dresses and Dia shook her head but then she thought she should not tease her more as she was happy after many days so she went up to her, "ok I think this red frock will look perfect on you" Dia suggested lifted her eyes at Nupur after getting no response from her who were smiling lost in her dreamy world, "Nupur I am saying you something.."Dia drawled to getting annoying of her habit to lost in her dreamy world, Nupur turned her eyes towards her and blushed remembering Mayank's compliment, "Dia ..umm you know Mayank said I look pretty in every colour"

"He has gone mad..i think"Dia teased her giving Nupur unbelieving look at her words and knew what was coming next Nupur hit her with a pillow and Dia ran out from her room..

As he promised he had reached at her home exactly at sharp 7 and now it's been almost twenty minutes passed but there was no sign of Nupur and he was still waiting sitting in drawing room, it was the third time when Mansi Bhushan sent Dia to bring Nupur down and turned towards Mayank giving him apologizing look, "umm,sorry beta I think she is getting ready.."

"It's ok Aunty"Mayank smiled slightly removing the embarrass look from Mansi face but inside his heart he felt urge to go to Nupur's room and scold her for taking too much time..

"Mayank" he lifted his gaze standing up from his seat when her next sudden act left him shock, embarrass and it took him a minute to realize what she just did, she was hugging him infront of Dia and Mansi who were both feeling embarrass and looking here and there, "cant you hold yourself infront of everyone"

She pulled away herself realizing her mistake and looked at her mother who was glaring her..
