Hey.This is absolutely great and a complete treat to read. Apart from the fact that I'm absolutely in love with Ashar-Khirad, I liked the characters of Afsheen and Ayan. Well written and it's definitely making up for the lack of Khisher in our lives now.
Hope you update soon! I'm excited to read about the repercussions of Ashar's anger. 😆
I cant wait to read next part 😳

Chapter 3
This one's for San and Zum, i LOVE you girls! 🤗
He woke up, earlier than usual, a slight smile alluring his lips all the while. He had dreamt of her all night. He ran his hand through his hair once more, shook his head and walked in to the shower' Closing his eyes, he let the warm water run through his hair' trickling down his face' Seeing her face in front of his eyes, he opened his eyes and reminded himself to stop thinking about her' but she kept replaying in his mind.
He was sort of guilty to have said all that, to her, ruining her dress, which turned out to be a bigger deal than he thought, because of the crying, he could hear her over the phone, he didn't feel right, but when he thought about the beautiful, innocent, angelic face crying over her spoilt dress, he couldn't help but chuckle, with a slight curve of his lips towards the right, he shook his head to get the thought out of his mind. Atleast for sometime'
But, everyone makes mistakes, he thought, and his wasn't such a big one either, I mean, he had shouted or atleast wanted to shout and lend out the anger to ALL the girls, it was just the situation didn't favor it, and she had endured his anger, for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He decided he wasn't at fault. Being a perfectionist that he was, he didn't like admitting he was the one at wrong. And so he didn't.
He thought of her cutely sobbing, again with slight silent hiccups, he couldn't help but chuckle. One of a kind. He thought. Shaking his head, keeping her from invading his thoughts, once again.
The Nikaah was to take place today, just after the Asr prayers. Asher dressed up in an embroidered white kurta with light off-white embroidery, so it didn't look too heavy, and looked decent, with an off-white pyjama. Ayan went with a beige and brown sherwani.
The Nikaah was done with. Yes. Ayaan was now married. M-A-R-R-I-E-D!
People came from all over, congratulating, him, his brothers, his family. Ayaan got annoyed, all this while he couldn't meet Afsheen, and now, when they were both legally and religiously married, he STILL couldn't see her. Zaalim samaaj. He whispered to himself rolling his eyes, and hugging another, dooor ke uncle.
Meanwhile, the Nikaah had left a new desire in Asher. He wanted to get '. married' and soon.
Khirad couldn't believe it. Her sister was FINALLY married! Oh God! And what shocked her even more, was that Afsheen was crying. Afsheen had always been the stronger one, and plus, if Khirad was absolutely sure about one thing throughout, it was, that Afsheen wouldn't cry on her wedding day, she was getting married to Ayan. The love of her life, it was her sister's only dream, to get married to the one she loved, and Ayan and Afsheen were very clear about their interest in each other' since' the' since the day' they' erm' fell In love!? Usually it was Khirad who would cry, and she had expected just that, that SHE would be crying, not her sister. That's when SHE decided something. SHE wouldn't cry on her marriage. She blushed. WAIT. Did I just' think about my OWN marriage? She thought. Annoyed and confused at her ownself. She blushed again, hit her head lightly, shrugging the thought off, and went ahead to keep the box of sweets on the trolley. She walked away, smiling on her foolish thought.
The Rukhsati was finally done. This time Afsheen didn't cry, she was rather excited to start her new life' Her new life with Ayaan. Everyone else, ofcourse cried, especially the one that everyone expected to. Khirad sobbed, at times a little loudly, at times silently, wiping her tears with her delicate hands. Asher kept noticing her. Khirad was very attached to her elder sister, she had shared EVERYTHING with her. She knew she'd miss Afhseen more... much more...
He had been noticing her. She was wearing an off-white and red Sari, she had never worn a sari before, he could tell, the way she was trying to manage it. She was talking to her sister, She looked as though she was in a trauma, the punishment of wearing a sari was making her all the more nervous, but she HAD to walk around, she was the bride's sister. He smiled when he overheard her telling her sister what a headache the sari was, and that it was the first and the last time that she was wearing one. That's when he chuckled, and the smile retained, when he realized, he was right, it WAS the first time that she'd worn a sari. But with all the discomfort that she, personally was feeling, she looked breathtakingly gorgeous. And to his surprise, she DID carry it gracefully. The elegance with which she walked.
"I don't think so, honey, I think you're gonna keep wearing a sari, time and again, I'll make sure that you do'" He whispered to himself, and left the place, smiling.
So, he had made up his mind? He liked her? But he was annoyed at her. Not once, since that day, had she come to greet him, throughout the wedding, he thought she had ignored him. It frustrated him. But he, couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He saw her singing, clapping, whispering stuff into her sister's ears, playing with her small cousins. A strand of har, gracefully landed on her face, alluring the beauty. Her eyes looked gorgeous. She had applied kohl to enhance them. Her lips were glossy. She had a constant smile on her face, except at the time of Rukhsati ofcourse. He decided she was perfect. Perfect for him.
His thought came back to the point. He had avoided him throughout the wedding. He hadn't caught her looking at him for once. No wait, he DID catch her looking at him, ONCE, but then she quickly turned away. He wanted to smile, acknowledge her. But he found that rude. She couldn't even say she didn't see or notice him as she was busy, because, she DID see him, even if it was for once. It frustrated him further. He was furious. Why did she have to be so stubborn? He had already apologized! He decided, he didn't want to do anything with girls like her' but then, his thought changed, his heart melted, seeing her cry.
Maybe she had a lot on her mind, her sister was getting married and she seemed very attached to her. He even reasoned, why would she think about me!? Afterall, they had merely interacted, to be precise, real interaction, ONCE, that too, he had ruined. He decided she had better things to think about, for now. But with that he decided and promised himself, that he would make sure she DID think about him. Sometime. He wanted a place in her heart.
'
The next month was pretty slow, for both Asher and Khirad, for completely different reasons. Khirad missed her sister in Everything from choosing clothes and bangles, to discussing college and latest crushes. Whereas Asher's thoughts, had continuously revolved around one face. It had already been a month since he had seen her, and he desperately hoped to see another glimpse of her' SOON.
Afsheen had by now, taken full control over the Hussain-Kitchen, she realized, because of the kitchen being under MALE-CONTROL throughout for years, it was UNHEALTHY and she decided it was high time a lady took over, and gave them' real' healthier food to eat. Her husband kept insisting to get some Take-Away food from a nearby restaurant, every now and then, but she had refused. She wanted to make sure, her Dewar, Husband and Father-in-law got the most homely environment.
Basirat Hussain had gone to Pakistan for over 6 months, for a new chain that he was starting, and Ayaan and Asher's mom and Dad had always been happy with Ayan getting married to Afsheen, their Mom had passed away a few years ago, and Dad was usually travelling because of business. Only Khirad knew Afsheen's in-laws for a long time. Afsheen had told only Zeenat, from the day she herself figured it out.
Afsheen had found a great friend in Asher. He would usually help his bhabi out in the kitchen, right down recipes, which amused her to no end. He would write down everything perfectly, infact, he had even cooked once or twice, under her supervision. She was amazed at the ease and comfort with which he cooked. He was afterall a perfectionist, she mused.
"Hold on, so you add the corn-starch BEFORE or AFTER you have marinated the chicken?" he asked. "Asherrr, why do you bother? Aren't you bringing a wife soon?" She chuckled, asking him, with her hand on her hips and the other, with a spatula, pointing it towards Asher. "I will, but you never know, you know' what if she doesn't cook well?, women these days you know'" he said, shaking his head, he joked back.
"You must be missing home, nai?" He changed the topic, hoping she would talk a little more about Khirad, "Hmm'. Mostly Khirad," she replied. He smiled in triumph. "Ive always shared everything with her' since childhood" She informed. Sighing. She smiled. Remembering some old moments from the past, perhaps. "Sometimes I wondered, she's quite mature for her age. Like when I was in love with your brother, she was quite young. But I knew I could confide her. She trusted that Ayaan was the guy for me, sometimes, even more than I did, and when the time came, she told me how exactly to go about, and approach our parents. She asked me to speak to dad first. I would have definitely done the opposite. I argued with her about it' and then, finally, I gave in. We followed her plan, and it all worked out. Dad was much more calm about the situation" She sighed, and returned back to stirring in the chicken. He wanted her to speak more, and so, he didn't interrupt, afraid he would break her trail of thought. She chuckled. "But she's so childish at times, you know, I mean, in school, if anyone wouldn't talk to her, or was rude to her, she'd make such a great deal out of it, she'd cry so much" She chuckled again. "But she'd cry on my shoulder. Just infront of me, she would practically hold her tears, till I was home and then, she'd just burst out. Oh God!... I'm missing her!" She exclaimed. She chuckled again, not wanting to get all emotional at the moment.
"Why don't you call them over? The long weekend's coming up'" She immediately said' "Yeah! And since its cold and almost snowing, we'd be together, all watch a movie or something' I'll call her up!" she beamed. "By the way, don't get angry at her this time, or I'll have to endure her tears' once again!" She winked. He smiled.
Finally. The wait was over. He smiled, stroking his chest.
