She denied the stars - Now that made my heart go still with pain. That is how much she has lost of herself. Stars are so Khushi. My heart goes out to her Yep, she has changed and how.

I like this Payal. Strong willed and so sisterly. I have seen very little of this sister in the Payal we see on the show! That is the reason she is so strong here. Payal has amazing potential as a character if only someone would pay some attention to her and not just give her evil incarnate kids to look after. :p

I like how you brought back the dialogues from the Prologue. Even then I knew this particular one had to Arnav and Khushi. Ummm...there are no dialogues from the prologue here, only from the show. :p

Nisha-Armaan - In some ways losing a friend is just so so much worse than losing a lover right? Poor kids. The entire conversation about forgiveness being dependent on the magnitude of the sin was bang on. Just what you would expect two people in this situation to say. You dont know how true that is...losing a friend is hard and Nisha and Armaan are suffering through that heartbreak...

The sari and the Arnav-Nisha confrontation - Excellent. Those two really are going to kill each other before they can help each other deal with the pain. I liked how she stood her ground and how later she understood that there was something about what Anjali said. Hahahahahaha! We both know your dwindling feelings on NiAr. ;) :D

But seriously speaking they are two strong characters who dont shy away from a good screaming match but yes Nisha seems to be a little bit more intelligent...

The Arnav-Khushi memory - Just as painful. But much needed for the story. I could imagine the scene in front of me. His anger, her lost eyes, the dance...Brilliant Thank You! :)

A lot happened in this chapter, Rae I told you so! ;) :D

Wow, denial! This Khushi is so anti-Khushi.. She's Dukhi! So, I'm very dukhi now! It was heartbreaking to read how she had changed.. And I like this Payal.. She's so.. elder sisterly.. Unlike the Payal on the show! This reminds me of NK...sigh, I miss NK on the show...*note to self - put more NK in story!*

And Payal, as you must know by now, is a character I like to explore in my fics because of the sheer lack of attention they give to her on the show. :p

Dr. Malik and Dr. Oberoi's cold conversation sent chills down my spine.. It was so cold.. Armaan! Armaan and stern?? You have to do a very big Khulasa in future.. Not Kundali ka khulasa, so chill! :P ;)

They were close, right? I mean really really close.. ALmost like Armaan-Nikki.. That's sad man.. Totally sad.. Yep, more than Armaan and Nikki actually...ArNish had been friends since school...

And ASR comes out again.. This man doesn't know how to deal with his demons! Poor Nishi! I smacked my head for the second time when I read that "Change Karo"! And their first confrontation.. She's tough.. She'll last.. But Sharman's waiting for her.. And that dance, that flashback was awesome Rae! Hahahahah! Yep, it does seem like that at the moment...and yes, they are both strong and totally not shy of screaming. :p

Will we get to see a Nisha-Khushi meeting any time soon? I have that vibe.. I cant say. :)

In all, awesome update Rae.. It was really really long.. So you're forgiven for no PM and Sharman-less update! I wanna know more about him! People are missing Sharman? I like. Sharman in next chapter. ;) :D

Maybe even Arnav and Sharman meeting each other... *whistles* ;) :D

Chapter 8

I loved how you described Sharman and Nisha's relationship. The cute little moment they had together when he was working on the presentation. But when he said to her I love you and she immediately moved back that was surprising. Does she fear commitment or is she insecure in love. She may not believe in it due to her past or something related to her parents? It was cute that he did not give up on asking her out and taking her out on dates and then it being ruined so she took him somewhere else :P

Yes, her past plays a role in her insecurities with Sharman at that time but they seemed to have worked it out - even getting married...quite a big step for a girl who wouldnt even hear, let alone, say those 3 words...

Aww Akash bought him home because he was drunk and Payal obviously didn't like the fact and told him to get him out. Now I am wondering what does Akash and Arnav know that Payal and the rest don't know. You have intrigued me with that because Arnav didn't let Akash tell Payal even though Akash pleaded with him :/ .

Arnav loves apne pairr pe kulhaadi maarna, what to do? Lol!

Loved the way Akash goes because I don't agree with your marriage. Atleast someone had the guts to say it out loud.

Yes, Akash has a backbone in this story. :)

Chapter 9

I don't know why but I liked the little fight between Arnav and Nisha, at least by this they'll be finding out through anger what they think of each other. I feel sorry for Hari Prakash but I like that Nisha apologised on behalf of Arnav just like Khushi would. I see Khushi hasn't been properly mention to Nisha. I want her to find out about her so then at least she'd have an insight on how and why Arnav acts the way he does and feels like that.

Yep, they will fight. They are too strong in their own right to jhukofy in front of the other.

Aah.So nani wants a traditional bahu who would adhere to the rules, she wants Nisha to adjust that way. Nisha reminds me of Arnav as their similar in many ways. The work calls at breakfast and leaving early. She did not ask for permission, she told them that she was going that I like about her. :)

Nani wants a bahu who is not Khushi Kumari Gupta. She is willing to wait for Nisha to change in the way adapt to their lifestyle.

Chapter 10

Khushi is in denial. She's been saying she's fine but really she's not. She needs someone to be with her, someone for her to talk to when she feels down and she doesn't have that person. I feel sorry for her because she is not even going to Payal about it. Instead she's telling Payal go back to the house but I'm glad Akash and Payal have a backbone in your ff to make the decision of leaving the house as they didn't agree with the way things were progressing.

Or maybe she is unwilling to see anyone as that person? Or maybe no one is understanding? Who knows?

As far as PayAsh are concerned - I HATE the way they are portrayed on the show! Such amazing potential in their character and all they have to do is deal with that evil incarnate child (and that is these days...usually they have NOTHING to do except 'ji-jiaaying' :p). So I try to keep PayAsh strong in my stories. :)

Loved the little interaction between Armaan and Nisha. That was a needed convo as that little thing told us loads about how they both feel and what they are like. Arnav reminded of Khushi by Nisha wearing a saree. He was manhandling her just like Khushi and I like that Anjali accidently spilled that it reminds him of Khushi. I like the points she picked up that everyone bows down to Arnav's anger and that there is more to this Khushi person than what she has been told. I hope she goes investigating around this and decides to change the marriage around!

Nisha is smart and fiery and does not back down from a fight. Arnav hasnt met that match in a long time. :)

Lovely updates all in all. I hope my long comment makes up for the lack of comments I've been giving due to exam commitments. Will be back and active from 16th May. So please keep sending me these pms :).

Nisha...I cannot believe how alike she is to ASR. And all her past friends hate her...she must have done something pretty big. And when Anjali went up to her to apologize for Arnav's behaviour and mentioned Khushi...it didn't seem as though she was hurt or angry towards her. Perhaps this Anjali is more clued up than the shows Anjali?

This Anjali is definitely more clued in than the whatever the show's Anjali has been shown till now. And why would she be angry with Nisha...it was her brother who lost his cool... :)

And you are right my heart feels like NiAr is all wrong because it loves ArHi. However, I think Nisha may do wonders for Arnav and who knows maybe they will help eachother. And as much as it pains me to say this, if NiAr are meant to be then they will be. After all, if Arnav couldn't stand up for the woman he loved and let people think negative thoughts about her then he doesn't really deserve her.

You are the only one who has said that as clearly and as beautifully. Kudos to that. :)

The pain felt by Arnav is so raw, that you really do almost end up feeling the same amount of pain while reading. However, I really, really sympathised with Nisha in this chapter. Yes, Arnav is quite vocal about his pain in this way...but Nisha is not really the kind to bear the brunt... ;) :D

It's highly unfair to be kept in the dark, but hopefully the reason will slowly start to unfold as the story progresses. Thats the plan. :)

I found it pretty amusing to read how even Atul - the cheery guy, someone who forgives so easily was keeping his distance from Nisha. Which makes me wonder whether Sharman was truly at fault? Or was it just the circumstances, and both Sharman and Nisha wanted separate things at that point in time. I know you will be revealing this as the story moves on, so it's just me saying my thoughts out loud :) No comments on that but NiSh in the next chapter, so maybe some more hints. Read the next one carefully to know the dynamics and maybe you will get the answer to your question. :)

Arnav forcing her to change - so ASR of him. So ASR of him to grab the lady and expect her to do what he wants. In a way the way she stood up and said no, kinda reminded me of how Khushi defied Arnav for the photoshoot dress. He told her to change. She denied. He forced her, she came out wearing a sari. In a way telling him, I did what you asked, that is I changed. However I am not going to wear what you want me to wear. I havent seen those epis but know that she wore the sari because of Arnav...he asked her to wear something else? But yes, Arnav is not shy of forcing his decisions on people...

In some way her fighting spirit is something akin to that of Khushi's. And I am enjoying reading this, because i am sure, this will force Arnav to remember more of Khushi, and therefore the truth will come out faster. Lol! :D

I understand that they are going to meet each other much later, and I am sure that the meeting is going to be electrifying! :)

Normally angst is not my genre that i like to read, however your story has me captivated! Yay! :)

The way she spoke to her about going to the party was like a master talking to his puppet. Will ASR ever be able to love this woman? I don't think so, if Khushi was dead then maybe. He may learn to respect her though. What he and Khushi had/has was/is very special, that love hate bond went/is very, very deep and I don't think anyone will be able to touch that place again. They are even bonded by the heart and memories even though they live apart. They say opposites attract but him and Nisha are too alike at the moment."Take back that sad word good-bye

First of all I'm really sorry coz I won't be able to comment on chapter 9 coz exams are dancing on my head & today when I came to the forum I saw 2 unread parts so I read both the chapters (selfish me, I know) but I'm commenting on chap 10 only. No problem.

I feel really sad when Khushi lies to her family. I mean she has done so much for them & is still doing..when will she live for herself? *sigh* Isnt she living for herself in a way? Not telling them her pain while they beg for her to open up? Think over it. :)

Nani!!ughh!! What should I say about her, she has to force her rules, rituals & decisions on everybody. I hate her in this FF. Seriously, I mean can't she see they are trying hard to make this work out but no she'll keep pushing them. Bechaari Nisha she was so tired still she had to go to that stupid function & then she had to change again..ughh!! she should have yelled at one of them.

I liked arhi flashback...everything in his life is related to her. So sweet. But he & his ego..he can't stop throwing orders at everybody..can he?? 😡 Nani and Arnav are related at the end of the day...lol! ;) :D

And I am so happy that people are feeling bad for Nisha! Cos that means (or I think it does) that you are connecting with my own character. :)

Anjali!! Throw that tubelight away. Her sweet talks, her ji-ji, her grateful smiles & her big bhashans give me a headache. Can she try & sort out her problems before giving lectures to everybody else. She has caused all the damage & still she is giving lectures. I am sorry but I don't sympathize with her anymore.

The last lines clearly say that-Nisha is a smart girl. Lol! Kaafi napasand hai Anjali aapko...par bechari ne try toh kiya tha talking to Nani but to no avail...

Fantastic update.. I just loved it.. as expected you have balanced it out very nicely.. and we finally got more insight into K and ASR's past.. and the turmoil taking place within them.. now It seems as if Armaan is aware of Nisha's broken relationship.. and the events that led up to it.. can I say Loved payal in your FF strong independent and far more expressive of her emotions.. K is still the same although adored the way your compared how she gradually lost her childlike innocence who hid behind a cloak of cheerful fantasy and adopted a facade of indifference much like her husband..I am even more eager to learn the reason behind ASR's refusal to stop his wife.. he will always love her that much is obvious there is more here then meets the eyes.. but it was still nice to see Nisha stand up to him.. and his fierce but controlled fury when he told her to change.. Loved it... !!!.. now my favorite sequence the dance You knew that was coming.. Lol.. Arnav saw red.. I see shades of our obsessive tycoon here unwilling to accept her innocence but just as incapable of hating her.. the dance sequence was depicted beautifully.. well can you tell I loved it to bits.. 😆😳.. Now I am really curious... what is that big offense that Nisha committed which yields such response from everyone at Sanjeevani. I would also love to know how exactly she got acquainted with the Raizadas? From the bits and pieces I seem to gather her grandma and naniji are friends of sorts, did I get that right? More on that as the updates come and as far as her knowing the Raizadas are concerned, it is because her Grandmother and Naniji are friends. :)
And finally dear Arnav,poor guy tormented with Khushi's memories and connecting everything to her,feel really sad for him😔 Yes, he is...but then its his silence only which is holding so many things back...

and khusi in arnavs memory , that was heartbreaking and really really painful !! i dont know what to sayabout this couple , they just manage to evolvve diffrent kinds of emotion in my heart!!my heart was bleeding with pain 😭and the nishi arnav part was brillaint!! they really are something !!

all in all a perfect chapter full of pain and emotions !!well written rae!! loved it !!
