You know what I think of your writing already. And you know that a dark ARS is the only ASR for me😃

I loved your OS. He is simply trying to shield his heart from the hurt of rejection by taking instead of asking. Atlest he is doing right by her and not going further. Making an honest woman out of her and an honest man out of himself.
