Surprised, much? LOL..! I don't have much to say about this OS.. Its just one of those random ideas which pop up at any time of the day. This is borne by the same and even though, I often keep on getting such ideas, I have no idea how I managed to complete this unlike others which I leave incomplete every time (blame my sluggish self!) :P
Dedicated to all my readers who still remember, 'Stuck in my Heart' and have been sending PMs (which is really sweet of them!). Love you guys for sticking by! 🤗

Free Falling
... An excerpt from 'his' diary...
----0o0o0----
She was independent, free-spirited, daring, confident yet exceptionally charming. With an aura of optimism and vibrancy coupled with an amazing sense of intuition. She loved to be right about everything and everyone around, it gave her self-esteem a boost but then she of course wasn't out of those with airs.
Her job was convenient enough and her lifestyle was the way she wanted. She would take only challenging assignments that when successfully completed gave her a sense of satisfaction. She was a mystery to all. Her exterior gave people the perception of a bold independent women. Only if the world knew the 'real' her! A few knew the romantic side she had, another trait of her vibrant attitude, which was long forgotten between her hectic lifestyle. Staying off far from her native place, family, childhood friends wasn't easy but then when she wanted to look for easier side? When a child, she had always wanted the people around her to understand her, but then we don't get everything we desire for - that's life ! Hence, she erased off that very word from her life - Desire! What can you expect from others when your own family can't understand you! But well, she was past all that. She was she. The only faith she had learnt to have was in the almighty. She knew he was there. Very much there for her. Every time he tested her, it was for her best. She would come out sparkling and dazzling more than ever. She was happy and contented. She needed nothing. Just wanted to let life flow and come up to her.
*Screeech*
A Ferrari F70 came to a halt almost near a cliff, blocking another speeding Ferrari 458 Spider. The latter came to an abrupt halt as well. With her arms and gadgets perfectly working, fitted and hidden completely, she was fast enough to come out of the car with her gun ready to be used any moment. She knew, perhaps, the attacker has been intimated now about her following him. She had been working on this assignment since few weeks and by now she had enough idea about how sharp these narcotic dealing gang was, especially their leader, who stood just a few meters from her catch, in the sparkling F70, and here she was ready to attack.
But perhaps, God wasn't on her side today. After numerous assiduous hours, today came the 'D-day'. She knew the convict had planned shifting the head quarters and he will be using the most unexpected and confusing path for his escape at the best time - the night. Only she knew how she managed to not let the blinding headlights all over the busy roads distract her, she had been really very cautious. Too much cautious, perhaps!
At a distance, as long as her car, stood her victory and she will fulfill another case. Hopefully. She can't miss this chance. She had to win. Ready in position, hiding behind her car she waited for the his move.
He stormed out banging the door of his beloved F70, he furiously yet attentively proceeded towards her. Since 2 hours, he had been noticing her following him around. She surely must be related to the gang. May be, she's their partner in crime. Damn her for making him loose the track of him - the gang leader! It was good that he had already informed his other officers in charge to follow the convict and grab him, rather whole of the gang, they all were related from key to key and soon, they will have the master key. A call of confirmation and the whole FBI team will be celebrating.
All he had to handle was her now.
He was best at counter attacking. Everyone was aware but she didn't seem to. With attentive tip toeing, he grabbed her from behind. A jolt of spark was felt. It was delusional. But was it? Her gun dropped down as he held her firmly by her wrists behind her waist. She was alarmed. Boy! was the convict really smarter than her?!! She knew it was perfect time to use her martial art training. Swiftly she turned making him tumble and fall on ground, unfortunately, his hold, too firm, made her fall on him too. With murderous eyes she looked into his eyes, only to see those oceanic blue captivating pearls on one of the most charming face ever. She was stunned and stumped. When her glare turned into awe expression, she didn't know. Numbness took over her senses as his breath almost fell on her lips. It was all too much proximity to handle around a man like him.
She seemed to be so fragile yet so bold. As she turned to turned making him fall, he knew she was fiery. Fire meets fire. Wild as a cat, this girl was no ordinary. She was an under estimation by him. As she looked up and her face illuminated by the light coming from the street lights and head lights, he saw a surreal beauty. A beauty that was made for him. Just for him. Only him. Nooo!, his brain interfered. Correction. It was a beauty that was meant to destroy them, their team. And so his hands cautiously, without distracting her, reached her back pocket. He needed to find evidence. Evidence and her Identity.
She was so lost in him so as to think anything straight. Bottled up emotions and feelings were evaporating somewhere suddenly. He was an exception, an exception that held her mesmerized and captivated. In a moment, this guy suddenly brought out the weak and vulnerable side of her. Her alertness and smartness all faded. Who was he? A magician?! Heck, the neurons up there too went to doze off in that moment. A moment of fantasy. It can't be real. It has to be a dream. She didn't even realize when his hands reached her back pocket and pulled out the very thing he needed.
'Riddhima Gupta - Special Agent FBI' , it read with a picture of her next to it.
Wait a minute.
Special Agent FBI?, his eyes again darted to re-read those three words adorning her ID. The words that would perhaps change their lives forever. She was from FBI? Omg! She's the girl who has been working on this case with them. He had heard so much about her. No wonder everyone was all praises for her. His eyes drifted to hers and found them in a daze since then. Their breathes mingled and the desires emanated.
A honking of car from far off brought her from her lala land and she promptly stood up straight picking up her gun and pointed straight at him, masking those vulnerable expressions and holding a firm pretense and an indifferent look. She finally caught the convict!
His expressions turned from confusion to realization. He was in awe of the woman standing right there. He knew he fell for her the precise moment he laid his eyes on her and now knowing her true identity, his thoughts had no boundaries, no restrictions. They were free to soar, to the heights that they never knew were attainable before . She wasn't the convict. She was FBI and he was what she was, but just that she too was unaware of it.
She didn't know if she should be happy or sad. Couldn't this person be anything else but a criminal. It was such an irony that despite the night, the darkness lurking around, she could drink his sight well enough and read the emotions in his eyes so well. What a fate!
Pointing her gun at him, she was about to utter few words, which were long stuck up in her throat, but before that her eyes fell on something lying on the ground. A small piece reflecting a bit of light, closely observing she noticed it was her ID card. What was it doing there? With her eyes on him, she bend down to pick up that precious piece of her identity. It was her pride.
He observed her keenly. The expressions from suspicion and alertness to boldness, realization and a twinkle in her eyes. He knew from others how FBI was her pride and now he had seen it right here. He knew so much about her even without ever meeting her in person. If only he would have met her during their last planned group hang-out at the cafe, or the wedding of his colleague last month or the recent meeting about this case in their headquarters , but sigh, he just couldn't make it to all of those just because he had been tied to this case since so long and had been on various trips regarding the same. He had been always wanting to meet this girl but never even thought this way. How he wished to see her in full day light than seeing her in the dim light. Her sight was what water is to a thirsty. Oh lord! She is irresistible, esp with that bold-cum-sexy look. Its not that there was no one more beautiful than her. It was just that for him the beauty started and ended at her. She was beautiful to him. Be it misconception at first, but she is a criminal - criminal for killing him at first sight, criminal for arousing those hidden erotic desires already, criminal for letting him loose his heart to her, criminal for realizing that 'love' exists. All in all just at a mere sight of her! The world will mock at him if he tells them this. The last person to believe in love at first sight had finally done the same. 'Time for pigs to fly!', he mocked at himself.
Busy in his thoughts, he didn't realize his phone vibrating since so long. It was only when he heard 'Armaan' from a voice that he was dieing to hear, a voice so sweet that made his name sound so perfect, he came back to Earth. The voice was more of a whisper but somehow it was accessed by his oh-so-smart brain which failed to register the loud vibration but could easily register a mere rustle. He looked at the source to see her eyes loosing all the fierceness and fury replacing it with the same feelings he had seen when they both had fallen down. She somehow reflected his feelings in those eyes. Was it love for her too? Could he be so lucky? Nah! But he just knew he had to tell her his feelings. He knew better than to loose a thing as special as this. They had something special - a bond indescribable. Something that they could feel but perhaps, never put in words as words would never be enough.
She had been observing him. He seemed pretty lost. Was he planning to kill her some way? Well mentally and emotionally, his charms had already done that to her. Virtually. Only if he wasn't a criminal! She loathed them. But what was he planning? Here she was just few feet away, pointing gun at him, his life was in her hands and his face showed no sign of worry or fear?! Was this guy not scared of FBI or was he one of those male chauvinist thinking that a girl won't be able to handle him. If its the latter half, she for sure, would kick him where it hurts the most, she swore venomously. She was a feminist and such comments would never go down well with her. But then her heart denied that possibility. He somehow didn't seem that kind of guy.!
Oh God, what this guy is doing to her and her sane mind! Its better she calls and informs her team mates already. She had enough of the torture with his presence. But then she felt her phone vibrating, it was her team mate Marc intimidating that the gang leader was caught with 4 other people and asking her to celebrate her success. She was even granted a month off! He even asked her to inform Armaan, as he knew their geographical position was same. The whole news took its own sweet time to sink in her already meddled up mind and when she realized what that meant she was wide-eyed!
To confirm her doubts, she stepped closer to him with gun right in between them. She walked closer and closer till she was facing him. Focusing her mind on anything but his breath that was falling on her neck, she again whispered, 'Armaan', ever so softly. The sparks that were first ignored came back in. She had always been in love with this guy from all that she had heard of him from her friends and colleagues and now knowing he stood so close to her. She couldn't help but give in to her feelings. Let herself loose. So many emotions and feelings had already transpired in the last 25 minutes here and now, the only reason that made her keep her desires in check didn't linger on!
Her gun dropped down to its own accord, when all he did was grab her by her waist. His one touch sent shivers down her spine. Everything was too surreal to be real. She was free to fall and for once in life, she was sure he was the one to keep her off from falling. She just knew it. They both knew it. No words. Nothing else was required as of now. Their eyes were the mirrors to their hearts. Their fate had been decided fortuitously.
And she knew the creator was busy enough to take care of her now and hence, sent him as her angel.
