Short Update!! Hope you like!!!
Chapter 4- ASR vs. KASR
I saw Khushi, Anita, and Sam talking to each other.
I slid in next to Anita, "Having fun?"
"Yeah, listen I'm sorry I couldn't help you.
Next time we could try to come a bit early."
Next time, yeeeahhh about that...
not happening. I thought.
"Help with what?" Sam asked.
Great now Mrs. Raizada gets to witness another Arnav
humiliation/embarrassment!
"Nothing, hey a slow song's on, why don't you
two hit the dance floor." Said Khushi trying desperately to change the
topic. I was flabbergasted, she was helping me. My lips broke into a small
smile. I watched Anita and Sam walk into the dance floor hand in hand. WAIT
WHAT? Anita and Sam, slow dance, hand in hand, what was going on?
"Khushi um, you're ok with your boyfriend
dancing with another girl?" I asked, I didn't know how else to word the
question.
She choked on her drink, "Boyfriend? Where did
you get THAT from?" She tried to retain herself. Her face was red from
choking mixed with laughing. I patted her on the back and she didn't resist, it
seemed very natural form hand to make its way to her to help her.
"Sam's not my boyfriend, he's Anita's fiance
you idiot!" She said after she had calmed down.
My face was red from embarrassment. My lips couldn't
help themselves but to ask, "So you're not dating anyone?" I asked in
a tiny voice.
"Nope, single and NOT ready to mingle."
"Why is that so?"
"Need time off from these confusing
emotions."
"How 'bout someone who makes these emotions
less confusing." I said leaning in a bit forward on the bar-table (can't
remember what it's called).
"Too bad men like such don't exist." She
said.
I brought my stool closer to hers. "A dance
wouldn't hurt and you never know, you might find that man of your dreams in
me." I said offering a hand out.
I couldn't believe it, Khushi and I were flirting,
actual bar-banter.
"I guess." She said accepting the offer.

On the dance floor. My arms were wrapped around Khushi's waist and her arms around my neck. Eyes locked with each other's, we were indeed in our happy spot. We stayed like that for who knows how long.
Eventually we noticed that we were still like that and a fast paced song was playing. Her cheeks flushed and I ran my hand through my hair. But one thing was sure, Khushi did STILL feel something for me. The way she did not want me to be embarrassed in front of somebody else showed that she still had some concern for me. The way she was lost in my eyes as I was in hers showed me
that maybe she does still love me. Without thinking I leaned in a kissed her.
