Suddenly all became silent. Everyone's faces were pale. Khushi lifted her eyes to Arnav...She shook her head, her eyes begging him not to do what she thought he was going to do...He reassured her with his eyes and rubbed her arms...
Anjali spoke first..."what did you say chote?"
"just what you heard Di..." Arnav stated...but felt Khushi's grip on his arm get firmer...
"i saw from the security cameras that you went to see jijaji...when you left, he grabbed khushi's hand and threatened her to not tell anyone that you had been there..." Arnav could see the anger on his sisters face as she stood up...
"Khushiji! I'm so sorry! I didn't know he would do that to you!" Anjali walked to Khushi and lifted her bruised hand...Anjali gasped and looked toward Arnav who was very skillfully holding back his anger..."Chote, i won't let Shyam near Khushiji...i know how protective of her you are..."
"Damn right i am! She starts to see us all act respectfully towards her , and then THIS happens...Di, i don't blame you at all. I know you did nothing to ignite this situation...but Di, DO NOT expect me to tolerate Jijaji from now..." Arnav looked over at Akash who was smirking at his Bhai...knowing now that Arnav didn't have to pretend to like Shyam in front of everyone anymore...he could openly protect Khushi from Shyam's antics...Arnav gave Akash a small smile and went back to talking to Anjali..."Di, i don't want jijaji near Khushi." Anjali seeing her brothers concern just nodded..."i'm truly sorry for him doing this to you Khushiji..."...Khushi just looked up and gave a weak smile saying, "it's really okay Anjaliji...don't concern yourself with it...i'm okay. Really."
All the other family were just quiet seeing Arnav's determination. They had never seen him so possessive and protective over anyone other than Anjali...
Soon after, Arnav and Akash were talking in the lounge and reading a newspaper, and Anjali and Payal were showing Khushi all that they had bought when they were out shopping earlier that day...Khushi kept looking to the lounge, her fingers fidgeting...her mind replaying everything that Shyam had said to her... Payal and Anjali saw that they weren't going to be able to get Khushi's full attention tonight...so they asked if she was tired...she nodded and said, "i will go to bed now..." and they hugged each other..."Khushi, you are my sister, and i love you so much...please know that i am here for you..." overwhelmed, Khushi just hugged payal more fiercely...she smiled at them and walked out toward the stairs...not looking up...
Arnav suddenly became oblivious to everything the second he saw Khushi...she was walking toward the stairs, not looking up..."Khushi? Are you ok?" ...Khushi just kept walking up the stairs...soon Anjali and Payal appeared and Arnav cast a very worried glance in their direction...Anjali just smiled, "she's okay Chote...she said she was tired..."
Arnav just walked off following her upstairs...leaving Payal, Akash and Anjali to start their discussion about what just happened with Khushi and Shyam..."I can't believe he would do that to Khushiji...she had taken all our distance, all our neglect, and now this...i will talk to Shyam and let him know that this was NOT appropriate..."
"No Di!" Akash said fast..."you can't spend time with him because he isn't well...think of your baby..." Anjali smiled and said, "you're right...i have been thinking of names..." and their talks became light hearted ...
Khushi stood out near the poolside. Her eyes closed...unable to get Shyam's words out of her mind..."i wish i could show you how much i love you...because looking at you right now is making me yearn for you...yearn to touch you" ..."uughh" she moaned clutching her head ..."if Arnav thinks that all this will deter me from possessing you, then he is dead wrong...yearn for you...yearn to touch you... possessing you...how much i love you...making me yearn for you...yearn to touch you...touch you...you...touch you..." ...
"STOP STOP STOP!!!!!" Khushi yelled falling to the ground holding her head...
Arnav was a short distance behind her when he heard her yell and he saw her on the ground..."Khushi!?" running to her and holding her...she quickly looked up more frightened than she was earlier that day...but as soon as she saw Arnav...she threw herself onto him knocking him back slightly...she kept saying in between rapid breaths..."make it stop... Please make it stop!!" Arnav trying to keep calm for her, caressed her back and her head..."make what stop sweetheart...?"
She looked up at Arnav, this man had been her strength...then her enemy...she felt unbridled rage towards him...and yet she wanted no one else near her but him..."he said...he...he...yearns for me...to touch..touch me...possess mmeee..." she started sobbing harder..."arnavji i don't want him to touch me! Please don't let him! Please!"...He saw her eyes emitting the most distraught emotion...he had always been an easily angered person , but this...this wasn't anger...this was more than anger...this was a primal, beast-like abandon that tore through his soul...he roughly pulled Khushi to face him, and held her firmly against him holding her head in place..."HE. WILL. NEVER. EVER. TOUCH YOU. OR. POSSESS YOU. . .do you hear me!?!!!" he spoke so loudly that her eyes widened...not in fear, but in realization of his power. Arnav possessed her. Arnav yearned for her. Arnav was the one touching her...with an urge stronger than the tide, she gripped him and pulled him as close to her as he could..."please...please take me...please touch me...please...i need you...i need you...i ...i need you Arnavji..."...Arnav thought, "she's pleading with me? To touch her? Doesn't she know that i WANT her! That I NEED HER!"...Arnav lifted her face to his..."you NEVER EVER need to plead for me to make love to you...i WANT to...my need for you is stronger than my need to breathe!"
