Kunwar Amar's POV

He was tired of staring at the boring ceiling in his hospital room…. he wanted to go home…. Wanted to go to work…. to meet everyone…. The doctors had assured him that once his reports would come he could leave…. Mera buss chalta toh bhaag jaata… arre y not…. I should try…. He got up from his bed and started to remove his hospital shirt... just then a sweet aged nurse entered his room.

Nurse- Hi handsome…. (she saw Amar topless)….. oh my god!!!... (shut her eyes with her hand)

Amar was embarrassed…. He quickly put on his shirt.

Nurse- yeh tum kya karta hai man…. Yeh sab TV ka show baazi idhar nahi karne ka…. Hum jaanta hai tumhara bahut accha body- vodi hai…. But ye hospital hai…. Yeh sab hum sirf TV pe dekhna mangta hai, ok?

She laughed…. She liked teasing him…. Infact almost all the staff would have flirted with him in these 4 days.

Amar rolled his eyes….

Amar- thanks beautiful…. But meri madat karo yaar…. Apne naye boyfriend ke liye itna toh kar sakti ho na. (wink)

The nurse's face turned pink.

Nurse- kya chahiye mere sweetu ko?

Amar- mujhe ghar jaana hai…. khuch karo please…. Mera dum ghoot raha hai yahan.

Nurse (making a sad face)- kyun?... humse bore ho gaya tum sweetu?

Amar- (mushily) ofcourse not gorgeous…. Tumhe saath le jaaunga.

And they both started laughing.

Nurse- (serious now) nothing doing…. Go back to bed Amar!

Amar made a sad puppy face which made her laugh more…. But she did not budge.

Nurse- No!…. ab yeh lo (handing him some medicines) aur thoda time rest karo…. Ok…. I'l come to check on you later…. Be a good boy. (laughs and leaves)

Amar was frustrated…. But he took his medicines and went to bed like an obedient 10 year old.

He was indeed tired…. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

After a few hours he felt someone holding his hand…. He ignored it thinking maybe it was just the nurse come to check his pulse…. And he was pretty used to it by now…. So he dint open his eyes…. Suddenly he felt someone's lips brush on the back of his hand…. He frowned and opened his eyes.

There…. Right in front of him…. He saw her…. holding his hand…. with a big smile on her face…. a perfectly beautiful angel... he wondered if he was in heaven.

He yanked upright in bed…. Due to the sudden jerk to his head, he felt a pang of pain shoot right to his head…. He shut his eyes tight, holding his head for a few seconds to let the pain subside…. But he quickly opened his eyes as he wanted to make sure he saw right…. She was still there.

Amar (whispered, with a shocked look on his face)- Shakti?!!

She was leaning towards him with concern in her eyes…. gently placed her hand on his cheek….

Shakti- Kunwar?... are you ok?... does your head hurt?... should I call the doctor?

Amar- huh?... (shook his head) No I'm fine…. It just hurts a little…. (staring at her face with the same shocked expression)…. Shakti?!... what are you doing here??

Shakti ignored his question and touched the bandage tied to his forehead.

Shakti- (concerned eyes) where?... Where does it hurt?

He still kept staring at her…. And mutely pointed a finger to the bruise on his head where it hurt (lost puppy look).

Shakti very gently brushed the tip of her fingers on the bandage over the bruised area….. and looked into his eyes…. Amar saw a thin layer of tear form in her eyes…. He took her hand that was still resting on his forehead in his hand…. And gently squeezed it…. A layer of tear started to form in his eyes too…. Gosh!!... I've missed those eyes sooo much…. Is she really here?

Shakti- (whisper) I'm sorry!

She slowly leaned forward till their faces were just inches apart…. centimeters apart…. finally millimeters apart…. she very delicately placed her lips on one of his eyelids…. just as soon Amar's eyes fluttered close…. taking in the sensation of her lips on his skin…. her lips slowly moved to the corner of his eye…. His heartbeat quickened…. he could feel her hair brush his face tenderly…. her quick short breaths on his eye…. and the hair on his nape stood up.

Shakti's one hand was still in Amar's hand and she placed her other one on his chest…. At the same time she lowered her lips to his cheek…. She slightly pushed him, making him lie down on his back…. She leaned forward on his chest never leaving the contact between her lips and his face…. She very slowly reached his jaw…. planted a gentle kiss on the corner of his jaw and lifted her head up to look into his eyes.

Their breathing had picked up pace…. They kept staring into each other's eyes for some time trying to figure out what did just happen…. Shakti was the first one to blink…. She now tried to move back…. Amar placed his other hand on her hand that still rested on his chest…. And tugged her back towards him…. Shakti's eyes widened…. But she dint resist…. She slowly slipped her legs on the bed in a more comfortable position where in she lay slightly on top of him still staring in each other's eyes…. she moved closer and buried her face in the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent… he wrapped his arms around her waist…. never meaning to let her go again…. And she snuggled closer.

They dint realize how long they were holding each other when Amar heard a tap on the door…. He opened his eyes…. Smiling he looked down at his angel…. BUT she was gone!!!... instead he was holding a pillow in his arms….. He jerked upright in bed again…. No not again…. He realized he had never woken up…. The throbbing pain in his head which he felt in his dream was back and he closed his eyes tight….. A Dream??!!... that felt so real!!... he looked around the room just to make sure…. But his eyes were disappointed.

There was a tap on the door again…. Whoever it was, he wasn't interested to meet anybody…. After all they had broken his one of the most pleasant dreams.

Amar- (frustrated) come in

The door opened and for a second his eyes widened….

Amar- Shakti??

Mukti- dude?!!... What is wrong with you??... are you hallucinating?? Are these ur after effects of the accident?... wait I'll call the doc.

Amar (laughed)- shut up Mukti… and come in.

Mukti came in smiling.

Mukti- here

She handed him a bunch of orchids and a box of chocolates.

Amar- (smiled) Thanks Muks…. but dint you already get these yesterday?... khuch naya nahi laa sakti thi? (laughs)

Mukti stuck her tongue out at him.

Mukti- chup re…. yeh Shakti ne bheja hai.

Amar looked at her with surprise

Amar- you told her??!!

Mukti just shrugged…. Amar shook his head and smiled…. Don't these sisters know how to keep secrets from each other?... Mukti handed him a bag.

Mukti- here

Amar- what's this?

Mukti- it's a laptop…. And before you get any bright ideas…. I want to clarify that its mine…. I'm just loaning it to you.

She giggled at Amar's confused expression.

Mukti- (smiled) She wants to video chat with you.

Amar had a big grin on his face.

Amar- really??... Thanks Muks…. You are the best!!... abhi karun? (started to open the laptop)

Mukti- oye hero…. Ruk jaa…. Abhi toh woh soo rahi hogi… woh tumhe msg karegi…. Tab tum online chale jaana….. Thik hai?

Amar- (grin) cool!!

Mukti just rolled her eyes…. Warned him to take care of the laptop…. giggled…. Bid her farewell and left.

Amar laid back on his the bed with the grin still stuck to his face…. yaar uski yeh subha kab hogi!!

Ps- sorry to have disappointed those who expected her to come back…. But 3 months ki toh baat hai…. thoda unko bhi tadap ne do ek doosre ke bina.😆
