hi friends... here's part 5... hope u enjoy it.

Shakti was sitting on the bench at Brad's friend's house and looking up at the stars'. Damn!'to hell with him! I don't have to torture myself... She sat up straight'. Wiped her tear'. and dialed his number'. She had no idea what she would say to him'. Maybe just tell him what a wonderful time she was having.

Amar- hey, hi Shaks'. I was going to call u'. I heard u spoke to the entire gang'. How dare they call you when I'm not around.

Shakti was silent'. She was so content to hear his voice that all her troubles vanished.

Amar- Shakti? You there?

Shakti- Kunwar my darling'. Kaise ho?... Tum nahi the?... Maine toh notice hi nahi kiya.

Amar-(confused) Darling?... Shakti tum thik ho?... You sound different.

Shakti- (giggle) mujhe kya hua hai?'. Main bilkul thik hun'. Hicc! (hiccup)'. Tum batao'. Chod aaye usko ghar?... Hicc!

Amar- I thought tumne notice nahi kiya?

Shakti wanted to hit herself'. Shit!

Shakti-(frowned) haan main woh'. woh ab yaad aaya, Alis khuch bol rahi thi'. So how was ur practice? Badi mehenat kar rahe ho'. Shabash mere Sher! (giggles)

Her speech was slurred.

Amar- Shakti? You're drunk?

Shakti- (giggle) does my breath smell so bad that you can smell it over the phone?

Amar- Shakti stop kidding and temme'. Are you drunk?

Shakti- Pata nahi'. Shayad'. Thodasa. (giggle again)

Amar- Crap! Shakti is this some kind of joke!! Coz it's not funny at all'. Where are you?

Shakti- oh god Kunwar'. kitne sawal poochte ho tum'. Hicc!

Amar- Just answer me dammit'. Where are you?

Shakti looked around and giggled again.

Shakti- Pata nahi.

Amar- Kiske saath ho?

Shakti- Pata nahi.

Amar- Shakti please'. Answer!!

Shakti- Kya bolu Kunwar?'. Pata nahi kaha hun'. Kisiki party hai'. Brad ne kaha chalo'. Toh main uske saath aa gayi.

Amar- yeh 'Brad' kaun hai?

Shakti- (giggled again) Pata nahi.

Amar- SHAKTI!!!

Shakti- ouch! Chillao mat na Kunwar'. My head already hurts.

Amar- ok Thik hai' ab thik se batao'. Who the hell is Brad??

Shakti- (thinks for a few seconds) Shayad Kal ek friend ki party main mila tha.

Amar- W*F!... and did he force you to drink right now?

Shakti- naah'. Woh Champu kya force karega'. (giggle)

Amar- tumhare saath aur kaun hai?

Shakti- Kunwar tum itne dumb kyun ho?... Koi date pe apne friends ko le jaata hai? ...Hicc!

Amar- Shut up Shakti'. Aur wahan se niklo.

Shakti- NO!

Amar- No?... what do you mean by no?... its not safe to be there'. Just leave!

Shakti- Nahi'. Pehele tum mujse baat karo.

Amar- Shakti please'.

Shakti- kaha na'. NO'. pehele mujhse baat karo'. Hicc!

Amar- ok ok! Kaho?

Shakti- (giggle) so sweet'. Acha ab batao'. Kya tum mujhe miss karte ho?

Amar was silent.

Shakti- Batao na Kunwar? Kya tum mujhe miss karte ho? (baby face)

Amar (whispered)- Bahut!

Shakti smiled'. Both were silent for a few seconds'. Thinking about each other.

Shakti- Acha! Toh kya miss karte ho tum mere baare mein?

Amar- Shakti please'. Don't do this to me'. pehele wahan se niklo'. please.

Shakti sighed'. How she wished she could see him right now'. She wanted to ease his worry lines on his forehead with her fingers'. She wanted to hold his cute face and tell him she was fine' she wanted to cuddle in his arms and take in his fragrance'. She frowned and shook her head to brush away such weird thoughts.

Shakti- Main nahi jaa sakti, Kunwar.

Amar- Kyun?

Shakti- bcoz I don't know where I am ( sad baby face)'. Aur mujhe woh Brad ke saath nahi jaana'. I don't like the way he looks at me'. And I just hate it when he touches me.

Amar swore under his breath'. But it was audible enough for Shakti to hear it which made her smile.

Amar- listen, it doesn't matter if u don't know where u are'. Tum wahan se bahar niklo'. Aur taxi leke ghar jaao.

Shakti- mujhe darr lag raha hai, Kunwar'. It's dark.

Amar- Sushh'. Shakti main hoon'. I wont hang up on you until you reach home'. sunna tumne?... I just want you to leave from there.

Shakti- Alright.

Shakti was apprehensive but she got up from the bench and walked towards the main road'. a few minutes of silence'.

Amar- Tum thik ho?

Shakti- haan

Again a few minutes of silence'. All they both could hear were her footsteps walking on the road.

Amar- Shakti?

Shakti- hmmm?

Amar- if you don't mind can I ask you what are you wearing?

Shakti (giggle)- I don't know if you remember'. I had worn that dress when we went clubbing in December during Christmas (Author's note- it's just my imagination guys'. I don't think it really happened)

Amar- Aaah!!'. Yes I remember'. Then I don't blame Brad to not keep his hands to himself.

They both laughed'. She was feeling better'. Her heartbeat was coming back to normal'. She was no longer anxious of the dark'. Plus she was feeling less dizzy now'. She was glad she threw up'. Atleast it helped her to straighten her head a bit.

Amar- Kahan pohunchi?

Shakti looked around'. She was on the main road'. But she was still not aware of the surrounding.

Shakti- Main road pe hun.

Amar- wahan koi taxi dikh rahi hai?

Shakti scanned the road once again but couldn't find a cab.

Shakti- no

Amar- thik hai'. no problem'. Aage jaao'. Shayad aage mil jayegi'. Aur sabhal k jaao'. and keep looking around'. Khuch bhi suspicious lage, mujhe turant batao.

Shakti- hmm

She kept walking ahead.

Shakti- ab mere sawal ka answer dooge?

Amar- kaunsa sawal?

Shakti- tum sab se zyada kya miss karte ho mere baare main?

Amar- yeh kaisa sawal hai, Shaks?'. Tumhe poora miss karta hun.

Shakti- nothing in particular?

Amar was silent for a few seconds.

Amar- uumm'. Tumhara dance.

Shakti- aur?

Amar- tumhari aankein.

Shakti blused.

Shakti- aur?

Amar- tumhari smile.

Shakti- aur?

Amar- (whispered) tumhare baalon ki khushboo'. Tumhare harr dance main mere baahon main hona'. Tumhare gulaabi gaal, jab bhi tum blush karti ho'. Tumhare soft lips, jab bhi tum mera naam leti ho.

Shakti (dreamily whispered)- aur?

Amar realized he had said too much'. He paused for a while'.

Amar- (loudly) tumhari ridiculous awaaz main gaane gaana' (laughs)

Shakti got out of her dreamy state.

Shakti- oye hello'. Tumse toh accha hi gaa leti hun main.

Amar (still laughing)- oh really? Yaad nahi last time hum tumhare ghar pe antakshari khel rahe the aur tumhare neighbors ne aake humme beg kiya tha ke hum tumse naa gavayein (Author's note- again an imagination)

They both started laughing remembering their old times'. She then saw a cab at the end of the road.

Shakti- Kunwar, I think I see a cab at the end of the road'. I'll just go get it.

Amar- yes please.

Shakti sat in the cab'. Gave the cabbie the address and rested her head back on the seat with her phone still put to her ear.

Amar- comfortable?

Shakti smiled'. How did he know?

Shakti (sighed)- hmmm.

Amar- tum apne shoes nikaal sakti ho'. I know those heels would be killing you by now.

Shakti laughed and removed her shoes and sat comfortably. She yawned.

Amar- tired?

Shakti- yes a little

Amar- toh bataao'. You said that Brad dint force you then why did u drink?... you've never even tasted alcohol before'. Toh aaj achanak?

Shakti remembered her conversation with Alisha'. She felt uneasy'. She dint want to tell him'. What would she have told him?... she herself dint know what made her drink'. Or maybe she did'. She shook her head, trying to remove all thoughts about Alisha's phone call.

Shakti- Everything has a first time, Kunwar'. And I was curious to know what you boys find so fascinating about drinking. (laughs)

Amar- So did you find out?

Shakti (giggle)- yes by throwing up twice.

They both laughed'.then they were silent again for a few seconds'

Shakti- I miss you Kunwar!

There was silence at the other end'

Amar (whispered)- I miss you more, Shaks.

They both smiled'. Shakti yawned again.

Amar- Do you want to sleep for a while?...

Shakti- No Kunwar, please'. Don't hang up on me (baby face)

Amar- Shaks, I would even dream of hanging up until you reach home'. I'll still be on the call'. You can sleep for a while.

Shakti- No please, Kunwar'. Keep talking.

Amar- ok ok sweetheart' I'm here.

Shakti smiled'. She loves when he uses endearing words to address her' But he does not do it often'. She realized he would be charming with everyone but when it comes to her, he was always very conscious' she wondered why.

Shakti- Thank you Kunwar'. I know I trouble you so much.

Amar (sighed and whispered inaudibly)- I'm glad you do.

Shakti- huh? U said something?

Amar- nothing.

Shakti's eye-lids were getting very heavy'. She was unable to keep up with any conversation'. she finally arrived at her building'.

Shakti- oh finally! (phew)

She paid her fare and got off the cab'. She quickly went up to her apartment'. Amar heard her lock the door behind her'.

Amar-(silently prayed) thank god (sigh)

Shakti flopped on the sofa'. She was so sleepy she dint realize she was still holding her phone to her ear'. She shuffled in d sofa and closed her eyes'. Unaware that Amar was still online'. He smiled as he heard her cuddle herself to sleep'. He heard her yawn for one last time and then there was silence.

Shakti thought she was dreaming when she heard someone whisper in her ear "Good night jaan'.."

She went in her deep slumber having a faint smile on her face.
