MN room - morning

mayank walked in dressed as if for pooja and found nupur standing in front of the mirror looking gloomy

"kya hua?" he placed his hand on her shoulder

"main pooja main nahin aaoongi. main sari ko adjust nahin karsakthi. Yeh dekho" and pointed to the saree which looked okay to mayank

"teek hi hain nupur. Ghar ke hi log hain, its okay. Tum achhi dikhrahin ho"

" nahin mayank. Main jaanthi hoon ki tum jhoot bolrahe ho. Yeh saree ke pleats adjust karne ke liye maine neeche dekha tho mera pau mujhe nazar nahin aarahaan" she looked down her tummy obstructing her view of the feet.

"main help karoon?" he sat down on his knees in front of her and adjusted soemthing," yeh lo hogaya" and getting up turned her towards the full length mirror

"nahin mayank, kuch teek nahin hain. Yeh perfect fit nahin hain" she went on pointing to her blouse now. he pulled the pallu over her head and adjusted the side just enough to cover the loose blouse. "main puraane zamaane ki film heroine dikhoongi" she wailed

He adjusted the saree so that the slightly loose blouse is covered She looked better.

"ab please ...chalo" and holding her face in his hands kissed her forehead ," tum perfect ho nupur." the babies kicked.as they turned to the door, they found sam-gunjan standing with smiles on their faces.

"tum dono kab door close karna seekhoge? " samrat grinned while nupur moved to gunjan

" achha hua gunjan tum aagayi. Yeh dekho mera..."

"di tum sach mein perfect lagrahin ho" gunjan interrupted and hugged her whispering in her ears,"bilkul madhuri dikshit"

"sach?!" nupur smiled and gunjan nodded," par gunjan hum aapke hain kaun main madhuri tho pregnant nahin thi"

"di chalo" gunjan pulled her and both of them proceeded out . samrat tried to place his hand on nupurs tummy which gunjan pushed away.

MN room night

nupur standing in her maternity gown/ mayank walked into the room in his night dress

"nupur, suno mujhe kal college main kaam hain, tho jaldi..." and catching the tears in her eyes,

" kya hua?"

she shook her head wiping her eyes and placing her head on his chest hugged him standing as close as she could with the tummy between them. He stroked her back and let her be by now having realised that she had mood swings. After a while of quietly sobbing, she looked up at his face wondering at his silence.

"tum kya ab yeh bhi nahin poochne waale ho ki main ro kyun rahin hoon?" and moved back her cheeks and nose red with tears and angry.

"maine socha ki tum...ok, bolo kyun ro rahin ho?"

"koi zaroorat nahin pyaar dikhaane ka. Aise pyaar ka kya matlab jisko pooch pooch ke lena padein? Agar tumhe..."

"sorry, mujhe laga ki rone se tumhe ...acha chodo, mujhe baad mein daant lena abh bolo ki ro kyun rahin thi?"

"pata nahin"

"pata nahin matlab. Kisine kuch kahaan?" head shake," doctor ke visit se darr lag rahaan hain?" headshake, "tho ...babies ka movement teek hain?" yes ," khaana achha nahin lagaa?"

"teek hi tha"

"tho kya? tumhe itne saare gifts saaris dresses mili tho phir gussa kyun? kis par? Aur ro kyun rahin ho?"

Wiping her nose and eyes, she looked irritated," tum itne baar poochoge tho tumpe hi gussa aayega bol tho diya pata nahin bas gussa aarahaan hain"

"kis par?"

"kisiske bhi upar nahin. Bas...uday bhaiyya ke upar- unhone yahaan pe " indicating her tummy," yahaan par apna plate rakh kar dinner kiya."

"tumhaara hi bhai hain..."

"aur samrat bhi ...hamesha tho haath yahaan rakh deta hain"

mayank smiled," poor samrat! Aaj bhi kick nahin feel hua na?" and placed his own on her tummy feeling thro the gown. She shook her head

" aur dia...hamesha yeh baby ke liye teek nahin , wo mat karo, ye kyun kiya?"

"nupur, uska concern hain"

"kya concern? Aur benji ko tho apne sade hue jokes ke elawa aur kuch soojtha nahin" mayank went quiet." gunjan bhi bohot badal gayi hain shaadi ke baad" he looked at her , letting her continue," dekha aaj wo kitna late aayi. Sabko apni apni padi hain " grumbling and became thoughtful

"maa ne bhi kuch kiya?" mayank asked breaking her thoughts, knowing fully well that everything had gone on perfectly fine throughtout the day.

"chi mayank, kya tum bhi! Jabse wo aayi hain, tabse mujhe aisa lagtha hain ki meri maa bhi aagayi. Maa kya karegi? Agar wo nahin hothi tho pata nahin main kaise pichle kuch din rehpaathi.

"tum sab ke baare main bol rahe the tho socha ki poochloon"slightly sarcastic

"achha khudh ke baare mein tho nahin poocha?" she replied back with equal sarcasm

he grinned," poochne ki kya zaroorat hain? Tumhe 100% mere kuch na kuch baat ka bura laga hoga"

she stroked his cheeks with her hand suddenly ,her eyes went moist and she shook her head negatively unable to tell him in words how much he had been supportive of her. He held her close touched at the sudden silence.

Her hands holding him around the neck, her face on his chest, " aur kitna din lagega mayank? Hamesha thakke rehthi hoon. Yeh bacche kitna uchal the hain ander"

" Tumhe abhi se bachhe par gussa aarahaan hain?"

"nahin , gussa nahin bas...intezaar hi nahin hota. aur phir sabse yeh chupana mushkil hain ki judwaa hain"

"bas teen hafthe aur , sab ko surprise..."

"ajeeb sa feeling hain mayank, jaise ki waqt ruk gaya hain. Har din ek jaisa lagtha hain , har shaam ko aisa lagtha hain ki aaj ..."

"...bhi kuch hua nahin. " mayank completed," main samaj saktha hoon nupur. Mujhe bhi morning lagtha hain ki aaj ka din kuch different hain aur shaam ko incomplete feeling aajaatha hain" he smiled and continued to hold her close

"aisa lagrahaan hain ki saalon se intezaar karrahe hain. Ab tho us waqt ka yaad bhi nahin jis waqt main pregnant nahin thi"

"haan mujhe bhi us waqt ka yaad nahin jab tumhe back pain nahin tha, jab tumhaare pairr main swelling nahin the aur jab tum single sofe pe fit hothi thi"

she lifted her head and hit him on the chest," taana marna tho kabhi..."

"taana nahin nupur. Sach hain, par ab baatein stop aur so jao. Kal subah phir se tumhaara baby bag repack karne ka plan jo hain . Ab rest karo" and helped her to slowly lie down on the bed,kissed her on the forehead and holding her hands still," mere babies ko bhi good night boldena " she nodded .

adjusting the pillows to make her more comfortable, he smiled.
