Seriously i never read this book The Hamlet so it was beyond my understanding. I hope u can understand, what i am trying to say. I completely understand and u don't worry about that at all. It's just that it's a drama by Shakespeare whose genre was tragic. It's a tragic story about love, hatred, misunderstandings and death.
Coming to the rest of the update that was good n emotional.👏 Thank u dear a lot.
Raj himself doesn't want to go away when his dreams r crashing but obviously Sir Shekhawat couldn't given him the permission as he must b thinking that he wil spoil n ruin his name n fame.😔 Yeah, even now many parents don't want their children to pursue their own dreams.

Chapter 8

Journey.

As Naina woke up in the morning at around 7am, her eyes wandered straight to the corner of her inconspicuous flat. He was still in a deep sleep. Naina felt a pang of compassion for the handsome man dozing off on the sofa. She slowly took another blanket and wrapped it around his body. The sleeping face seemed so innocent yet'yet'so very distant.

Naina suddenly realized even though she had been the one to open her heart out to Raj, very strangely it was Raj, about who she hardly knew anything'.atleast about his life and most importantly the complicated inner workings of his brain. Whoever it was, who professed the idea about women being complex, was definitely a man, because to Naina men were an entirely different species with totally alien convictions and beliefs. Men were still a sort of enigma to her, atleast as far as the man sleeping peacefully on the sofa was concerned.

She took out her clothes from her wardrobe and went off to freshen up.

As she came out from the bathroom, she could feel the rich in aroma of hot Brazilian Coffee lingering in the air.

"So the coffee is ready Ma'am. Would you like to have some biscuits or should I fry an egg for you accompanied by two pieces of bread'"

Naina couldn't help smiling'.. "Hmm'so Harvard has made someone really self sufficient it seems

"Hmm'ab kya karoon akela rehta hoon, tanha hota hoon to zyada bhookh lagti hai.."

"Oh!!! To tanha rehne ko kisne kaha hai??"

"Hmm' point'. Dhundh raha hoon'ta ki subhah, subhah koi mujhe atleast coffee bana kar apne hathon se pila de'"

"To mili koi?" Naina asked in a sarcastic tone unable to disguise her irritation.

"Abhi tak to nahi'.magar'"

"Magar?" Naina looked back as her hazel eyes met the deep brown eyes which were actually twinkling '..

"Magar???"

"Magar'ek idea hai'. Jab tak koi na mile'. Tum chalogi to chalega'."

"What???? Naukrani hoon tumhari???" Naina got furious and threw her towel directly at Raj to hit him and they started chasing each other.

Half a minute later, as they both stopped and started panting, so they flopped on the sofa, looked at one another and burst out laughing.

"Sorry Naina'I can't seem to resist teasing you. It feels so nice' I don't know why'

Oh God! I missed you so much."

Naina secretly blushed at the fact that it wasn't only her, who had missed him badly in fact Raj had also missed her.

"Hmm'. Now I don't want my coffee to get cold. And also we need to hurry up'the weather doesn't seem appetizing enough."

"We should start early. You have your breakfast while I freshen up. "

Raj came out about 20 mins only to find Naina grimacing.

"What happened?"

"Just that roads have still not opened and it might take another 8 hours or so to get it cleared'"

"You heard it on the TV right?"

Naina just nodded and her face became forlorn. Not because she was any eager to reach Nottingham Place'..No she was more than happy to stay put up in her one room apartment with Raj forever but she knew the dire consequences which she would face if they returned late. She was happy that Raj was with her and she knew it from the very core of her heart that if anything went wrong he would definitely stand for her.

Naina checked her watch it was 10:30am in the morning yet the sky looked as gloomy as ever'As her eyes wandered over to Raj, she found him busy discussing something over the phone 'so she picked up a book and started reading'

"I just spoke to the traffic sergeant and he promised that the roads will be cleared off snow by 2pm, so if we have our lunch by 12 then we can obviously start off early and'"

"Raj'it's 206kms from London for God's sake'!!!! We will never be able to reach before it becomes dark'... even if you drive at 40 kms/hr speed.." Naina said indignantly'

"DO WE HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION LEFT'NAINA?? OR COULD YOU JUST SUGGEST ANOTHER WAY OUT '..IF YOU CAN THEN BE MY GUEST, TELL ME '?" Raj yelled at Naina'for the first time in long 11 years'' Naina knew she had been utterly absurd behaving in such a childish manner' it was really silly of her'. Obviously she knew how tensed Raj was in this whole thing'. but still the way he spoke to her'.. he had never been this angry with her'he had never yelled at her' and as she thought of these things, suddenly her eyes stung ' she slowly looked away ''.

"I am sorry.." murmured Naina looking away at the window , wherefrom the gloomy sky peeped in making the whole ambience even more gloomier. Suddenly the room felt stuffy to her and Naina started feeling claustrophobic'. so she walked away towards the window for some fresh air. As she stood there, she could feel Raj's heavy breath behind her.. , she turned to look at him, and found his face was astonishingly sad'as if he was fighting some inner demons resided deep within him. Naina was about to move away when Raj's hands stopped her. He stared at her eyes for sometime and suddenly hugged her tight, whispering apologies for his rude behaviour. Naina clung onto him slowly sobbing away ruining his crisp white shirt. He kissed her head as he ruffled her hair and then sighed'.

"What are you going to do without me, Naina? What am I going to do with you?"

"W-What do you mean? I don't understand" Naina looked at Raj questioningly..

Raj wiped her tears off her cheek and smiled.. "Umm- nothing.."

"No, I want to know'. why do I feel that you are keeping something from me?"

Raj sighed and said, "Naina , I may not come back to England permanently. I mean I have been approached by several top Law firms to work for them '. I haven't decided yet but most probably I am going to settle in the US."

"You mean you will never- - I mean you can'don't you feel.." Naina couldn't find her own voice'. She grabbed his collar and jerked him "Why?"

"Naina, I don't feel like coming back'' I am only back because I wanted to see you'I missed you..." He confessed' Though his confession brightened her mood for a second but instantly she felt as sad as ever. Does that mean Raj was going to leave her and go away forever.. She couldn't think right. She just kept staring at Raj, until Raj came to her and took her hand' "Nothing has been finalized.. so don't look so disheartened'. You know you mean a lot to me and so is our friendship' but Naina you have to understand that it's about my career and I need to figure this out as soon as possible."

Naina didn't say a thing'.. Suddenly Raj spoke.. "Umm'I am feeling hungry'I am starving and it's already 12 'o' clock. Oh!! I am at my best friend's apartment yet she chooses to starve me to death''

'' Kaisi dost hai meri!!"

He lifted his hand mockingly'

Naina nodded her heard in desperation.. "Dramebaaz!!!"

"So what do you want to have for lunch?" asked Raj.

"Uh-hh! I don't get you!" Naina blinked at the face which glowed in front of her.

"Arrey khana kya khaogi? Dekho tum bhukhi reh sakti ho, lekin mai nahi' Mujhe khana chahiye..sochne ke liye or drive karne ke liye bhi'! Samjhi?"

"Tum khana banaoge?'

"Kyun nahi bana sakta?"

"Achha..maine socha ki tum breakfast bana lete ho 'lekin lunch bhi?"

"So are u challenging my ego?" Raj asked wickedly '

"Ummm..well yes'" Naina grinned at him.

"Okay'.lekin agar tum haar gayi ..I mean if you like my cooking to tum mujhe kya dogi?"

"Kuch bhi'."

"Kuch bhi? Etes-vous sr? Mademoiselle? (Are you sure Miss?")"

"Oui (Yes)!! Certainement Monsieur. Sans aucun doute (definitely, Sir. Without any doubt!)"

"Theek hai'let's see'.."

"Raj'.I don't have an insurance you know and if you'"

"N-A-I-N-A'"

"NO, I was just reminding you in case you forgot'you know.." Naina replied with a smirk.

"That was very unladylike if I quote Mrs. Peterson rightly. Smirking and Snorting are not allowed'.remember??" Raj reminded Naina in a light tone, obviously enjoying himself.

"Well'that's not a very intelligent way to convince a girl that you being nice to her." Naina replied raising one of her eyebrows.

"Really'..yeah, I think you are right, gosh I need to work on my ladki pataoing skills."

"Were you doing that then?"

"Doing What?"

"Trying to impress me'"

"Are you impressionable?"

"No'.I don't think so'"

"That's what I thought" said Raj nodding as he searched for the frying pan in the cupbroad attached with her tiny open kitchen.

Naina enjoyed watching Raj working in the kitchen'if Raj looked up in any case he could have seen how Naina was looking at him'. Her eyes were filled with love and tenderness. Naina had the very urge to walk over the counter and tiptoe to kiss his lips which were moving as he sang all by himself'.

"Raj''" she said crossly.

"Taste it'.."

"I am not even insured'." Murmured Naina'

"Taste it Naina'" Raj said in an exasperated tone.

"Yes'."

She took a mouthful but as she put the spoon in her mouth her face got distorted as if she had tasted something abhorrent'.

Raj looked at her incredulously ' but then got nervous'"Naina !! are you ok? Is the food so bad? You don't have to eat it you know'drink some water'.please Naina speak up'" Raj said anxiously.

Naina slowly looked up to meet his tensed gaze'.

"I lose"

I said I lose."

"But your face was '"

"Come on Raj do you think only you can give me surprises and I can't?"

"Yes 'so I can see'I never believed'. But I can clearly see that you can be really irritating if you wanted to." Raj said drawling at her. Naina made a very innocent face and nudged him. But Raj feigned his mock anger.

"Sorry! But it's really good'..I mean definitely mouthwatering '.Now if you don't eat then I am going to finish it off all by myself as it is I am too hungry."

"So what about my gift?"

"What gift?" Naina asked him innocently'.

"I won''you promised remember'"

"Umm'..what do you want?"

Raj looked at her for a long time and smiled "I will ask it from you at the right time'not now."

"Okay'"

And they finally finished off with their lunch, washed away the dishes and got ready to leave as the clock struck 4pm.

Raj took Naina's suitcase from her and kept it at the back of his car and opened the front door for her'..He started off the engine with a soft purr and slowly drove off.

The scenery was breathtaking as the car drove through the meandering roads, where everything was so serene and calm'.everything was so white, so pristine'.

Suddenly the car came to a halt with a jolt''

"What happened?" Naina asked in a terror stricken voice.

"I really do not know Naina'I guess there's some problem with the engine'"

"Did you check the fuel?"

"Yes, I did..no problem there."

"So what will we do now.."

"Don't panic Naina, let me see what I can do.. Let me check the engine.."

He got off from the car and opened the bonnet of the car. Naina got so tensed that she started chewing her nails.. in tension'

What if'..they get stranded in this weather? Where would they go? She got out of the car and looked around 'no house houses could be seen neither any habitation'

"Naina , I think we seriously have a very bad luck today" Naina jumped at the comment'

"W-what do you mean? Hua kya? Raj'kuch to bolo?

"Kya bolu mai? The engine has stopped '.I really can't think of anything'"

"RAJ''''''are u out of your mind'.ghar kaise jayenge'?"

"Ghar to kya London wapas bhi nahi jaa sakte..Is road par vehicles bahut kum hai as you know'"

"But we need to go back Raj '.we have to 'we got to'. We can't stay here'" Naina shrieked'. "Surely we can ask for help"

"Help'Naina be reasonable'.yahan kisse puchogi'..koi hai kya? Puri sunsaan jagah hai.."

"I don't care humein ek na ek ghar to mil hi jayega'"

"I doubt'..aur shaam bhi hone waali hai''it's already 3pm'"

"Aur kahin garage nahin hai?"

"Pata nahi dhundna hoga'."

Naina suddenly broke down '''she had been so terrified that she couldn't hold herself back.

"Naina!!!! Naina!!!!!!!! Hua kya??? Arrey stop crying'.mai hoon na'..arrey I was kidding'.. kuch nahi hua hai and we will reach in time'.." He took Naina's face and made her look at him' "Kuch nahi hua hai'.arrey'.I said I was joking'"

Naina suddenly got sooo angry with Raj thant she removed his hand and stomped off, walking away all by herself'..

"Naina, suno to'.arrey baba galti ho gayi maaf bhi kar do'..arrey I didn't lie 'the Engine genuinely had a problem but I have dealt with it'come on'.Naina'"

"Raj'move away'I don't want to talk to you'har baat par mazak mat karo..tumhe kya pata mai kitni darr gayi thi."

Raj came closer to her.. "Tumhe sach me yeh lagta hai mujhe tumhari koi fikr nahi hai?"

His steady breath was weakening her senses all the more but this time she decided that

she would not give away so easily'
