PART- 21

The fresh sun rays peeked through the windows enlightening the room, it was a new day or may be a new start.

When Geet woke up, she found herself alone n wondered if last night was just a sweet dream where she got a chance to sleep wrapped in his warmth.

Maan stepped out of the Mansion as he wanted to leave, to be more precise run from the one who always left him confused at his own actions.

MAAN'S SOLILOQUY

Why I did that? Me and sleeping on floor.
But I can't deny that it was totally worth it.
My life!! It got all messed up from the time she became my wife n it won't be wrong if I say, she did'nt let me sleep peacefully since our first night.

But no grudges after last night. I could have never imagined that sleeping on hard floor could be so heavenly.
Is it a fact? Or was it her presence that made it all so blissfull?

I can still feel her touch lingering on me n her enchanting smell in my nostrils. It seems like she has become an inseperable part of me.
No matter how much I try to ignore her but eventually I always ends up being drawn towards her.

N the bitter reality is, she is everywhere... the air I breath, the view I see... in my mind, my body, my very soul.

Opening the back door, he sat in his car.

He opened his lap top but how could he do anything else when she was right there beside him, smiling loving, her deep eyes casting their magic over him.

He averted his gaze to the other side but she was there too. He saw her image on the black window glass, clad in yellow saree that she wore on her 1st day in KM n at that moment he figured out that yellow was not that bad.

Maan looked up from his file in his cabin n found her sitting on the opposite chair holding a bunch of beautiful red roses. Pecking each rose, she put them inside the vase one by one.

He closed his eyes to pry her thoughts off his mind n gain some control but that was as impossible as always.

The projector displayed the blueprints as one of his eployee was giving the presentation in conferance hall. But all Maan could see was his beautiful wife on screen.

Her long dark brown almost black hairs, her shimmering innocent eyes, plump welcoming lips, her silky skin. It was as if her each feature was etched in his mind with the minutest detail.

It was one of his site visits, walking a little away from the construction area he looked at her as she walked over the lush green grass towards him giving him his answers.

He raised his hand hastily to touch her but she disappeared like she did rest of the day earlier.

This restless was way too much to endure. Just few hours away from her n he was so desperately missing her. He needed to see her right now.

As night consumed the day, dark clouds formed a blanket over the sky. It started raining heavily n rumbling of clouds brought him out of his thoughts. He noticed that he had finally reached KM after what seemed like a century.

Dil yeh bekarar kyun hai

He opened the door n hopped out of the driver's seat, what welcomed him was the most enticing sight.

Tera intezar kyun hai

Kyu hai yeh khumaar kyun hai

The beauty of his life was swaying to the beat of rain drops hitting the ground. Soaked completely wet, her white salwar suit clinged to her making her snow white skin almost visible.

His legs moved forward. He wanted to know if she was real or again just a part of his wild imagination.

Geet opened her arms wide as if to engulf the sky in them oblivious to the fact that someone was dying to even touch her.

Maan held her wrist n jerked her towards himself, startling her. She collided with his hard form n kept her hand on his chest for balance n realised she was as real as his undeniable feelings.

He removed her hairs from his face n thats when Geet looked into his eyes which displayed a series of emotions, simultaneously.

His urges were all time high n atlast he took her into his arms.

All his senses relaxed. Peace washed over him with rain water.

Why only she is capable of calming me? Why she holds so much control over me? He thought as his hands moved vigoursly on her back n Geet felt goosebumps all over her. Why????

BECAUSE. I. LOVE. HER. His mind screemed each word loud n clear.

Was this feeling love? The word 'LOVE' was new n unknown n contemplating its meaning was not something easy for him. He never loved someone n did'nt let anyone love him either.

Apart from everything else one thing was sure, if it was love then he was right.Love makes you weak n MSK was everything but weak.

He grabbed her hand n dragged her inside while Geet wondered the reason for this sudden harshness. He left her hand once they reached their room.

What were you doing outside? He barked on her face.

Geet gulped her saliva, scared to speak. What if her words just made him worse.

A water drop trailed down her neck n for one moment his mind demanded to lick that damn drop off her but another moment he regained his angry facade.

Geet... He shouted making her jump.

Wo.. I was just... I did'nt knew that you were coming this early otherwise I would...

Otherwise! Otherwise what? What were you doing there? Trying to seduce me haan?

Geet looked at him shocked n tears brimmed in her eyes. Why would she do that? She did'nt even knew how to seduce anyone then doing it was next to impossible.

He ran his hand through his hairs, frustrated. You...you won't go out in rain again. He ordered not knowing what else to do as his sanity was already paralysed by her wet body.

Maan's cell rang n he left the room as quickly as possible. The call was from Adi n he reminded him about an impending tour to another state.

At dinner table Maan informed Dadimaa about his tour to Mukki (in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh) for 2 days.

Geet's head shot up as she heard about his tour. She did'nt wanted him to go anywhere in this condition when doctor had advised him to take rest.

Who would take care of him? What if something happens? No he can't go alone. She thought n then said aloud. Mai bhi chalu??

She did'nt knew what n where Mukki was but she was ready to go everywhere for him.

Dadimaa got worried but she thought that may be Maan was changing n thats why Geet wanted to give him another chance. She was right the change was there but was it enough for Geet to go with him alone.

No... Maan said immediately when Geet spoke but after a brief moment he changed his decision. OK... You can come.

The offer was far too inviting to reject. Two days alone with her in jungle was indeed a golden chance.
